  1. I'm having high hopes Di Matteo wins it. His achievement is the biggest of them all. Champions League is the most difficult to win and he didn't have a team like Del Bosque or Mourinho had. Really, Balotelli's inclusion on that list is laughable. As for Pique, I can't tell because I don't waste my time looking at Barcelona passing the ball around like a bugged AI in a video game but my feel is that he isn't worth to be included there also... Just as you lads said, Cech should have been there.
  2. I wouldn't slate him for his often forward runs, it's obvious it's something Di Matteo either asked or encouraged.
  3. Hahah...chill down bitches, we'll beat 'em! If they didn't have RVP they would be in a big pile of shit this season!
  4. I gotta say, he has turned out into a rather good full back. Few years ago, all we could criticize him for was that he felt awkward as a right back and wasn't too offensive. Well, now he bombs forward in the style of Gareth Bale and actually scores and assist rather a lot, especially considering our front 4 are rather physically weak or short. He had some bad games, but usually did alright this season. We have to take into consideration that he played quite a lot for 3 seasons in a row now, and as a full back he covered a lot of distance. It also seems to me that he increased both his speed and strength in the last year. Check it out I see him as one of the physically strongest players in the PL. After the match against Belgium in which we played well, but lost 3-0 in the end, our coach, Mihajlovic came out in the media and openly blamed Ivanovic and Kolarov for the loss because they were too offensive. That pissed of the two of them and they confronted him because he used them as scrapegoats for the loss even though they are our two best players who were leading the team. Mihajlovic responded by benching Ivanovic in the next game and changing Kolarov's number to number 3 to metaphorically show him he is a defender. Idiocy if you ask me, Mihajlovic changed the core of our national team so much and put such high expectations now everything is falling apart...besides, when things aren't going well, bigger players won't give 100% because they won't want to injure themselves, so it's a chain reaction...I hope it gets sorted for the upcoming EURO.
  5. Good to hear it mate, congrats! Raise him into a proper CFC fan :blue scalf:
  6. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to leave, but if he uses a chance this season I believe he would stay if we convince him of his status in the team. Besides, I'm pretty sure he knew the way Chelsea treat young players before he signed for us...I agree with you though, I hate the big name ahead of everything policy we seem to have had. I'm really hoping he gets a start as a number 9 and scorers a few which would prove he can lead the line.
  7. I'm surprised with how well he got used to England and our squad. It speaks of his quality and versatility. What brings a massive smile to my face is that he is yet to show us what can he do. He is very young and once he gets used to life in England, learns the language and truly gets used to Premier League, we will have a massive gem in our hands. And a small detail. I really like his occasional slightly raised eyebrow. It gives him such an intelligent and cool look
  8. Come on Robbie, give the lad a chance as a number 9. Perhaps not against Manu since he is still untried as a striker here but at least against Swansea. This is Danny's chance to prove to everyone he can lead the line and with Torres' recent games, I'm pretty sure he can do better. Besides, Torres needs a rest also...
  9. I fully agree with you on the Sturridge situation, but Torres was actually doing alright when he was given a chance at the beginning of this season so Robbie probably got his hopes up. What makes you think we didn't try loaning Torres? Perhaps nobody wanted him? Or perhaps we wanted to sell him, but since we failed in our pursuit of a striker we decided to keep him until we find a replacement. As I said, I agree with Sturridge situation, but it wasn't my point, it's RDM who picks the team. I can ask you this though. Is it better for our 2 young strikers, Sturridge and Lukaku that we have only Torres now who is evidently shit or if we had someone like Cavani who we payed a massive sum? First thing, yes, Torres' transfer wasn't the ideal one, but as I said, I'm happy to support a club that can pay 50 million pounds for a football player. You say we should have brought Cavani. Well we tried, but we couldn't do it just as I wrote in my post. And you attack me with things I haven't mentioned like Torres sulking and earning a spot by reputation. Yeah, he's done it, but my initial point was defending the board and since we have reports of them making bids or approaches for Cavani, Schurrle, Hulk and Lewandowski it shows they wanted backup or a replacement. I'm not saying our board is the best in the world blah blah blah, but they done decent in this situation. Sometimes it's really ugly to see some spoiled fans' posts. They want this player, that player...one player doesn't perform, they want to dump him and replace him with a new one...sometimes they see a player doing well somewhere and right away they want him at the club. We have 2 great young strikers in Sturridge and Lukaku yet we want to bring another high money one. I haven't said his transfer was ideal. We should have never got him in the first place. Falcao was at Porto, Suarez still at Ajax and Cavani wasn't priced as much as he is now. What I did say is that I am happy to support a club that can and will pay 50 million pounds for a football player it believes will benefit the squad. I don't think anyone in the world of football expected Torres to end up this bad. He is devoid of talent? Bollocks... I defended Kalou for his time here and was attacked for that a lot, but I defended him because he was a Chelsea player and someone who always worked hard for the team. He did his part for us and when he was leaving I thanked him for his time here and wished him good luck. Way others treat our players really has nothing to do with me or the board which was the point of my post. We gave a lot of support to Torres, lots of it undeserved indeed and that speaks of us as fans. We supported him through thick and thin because he was a Chelsea player. I see your frustrations when it comes to Torres and the fanboys/fangirls he has, but it has nothing to do with me or the board again. I simply ignore their posts or laugh at them... He can't come out and say ,,Chelsea fans didn't show me enough support" or ,,They have put too much pressure on me". All he can say is a massive thanks to the fans, and again, I am proud of that.
  10. Don't be so hasty to attack the board. Yes, it was a mistake bringing him here for 50m at the time but it's easy to say that now. I can't remember a single Chelsea fan complaining back in the day. If he came here and produced what we expected him too, it would have been a good transfer. Who is to blame for that? Certainly not the board, but Torres himself. I applaud the board for wanting to spend that insane amount of money for a player because only a very few clubs in the world would do that. Torres is the one playing games and he is the one who needs to deal with the pressure. Not fans, not coaches and not the board. You complain he is still at the club? It's the right move if you ask me. You don't go and spend 50million for a player and when he struggles you just dump him like a broken toy. You try to help him and fix him and even if you can't fix him, you try to make him at least work so you can sell him and get some of your money back. We tried that and with the players like Hazard, Mata and Oscar at the club, there is absolutely no excuse anymore for his mediocre games. What can the club do now? We certainly can't bring another player until January comes so we gotta stick by our current strikeforce and hopefully survive in all competitions with Torres. Besides all that, we did try to bring another striker in the last transfer window. Cavani almost came and we sent bids for Hulk and Schurrle meaning we wanted to bring another player.
  11. Our cheek is clear though, we've given him so much support it's crazy. Lots of it was undeserved, yet we supported our player like we are supposed to. Obviously I wish the lad all the best in Chelsea colors, but it seems it just wasn't meant to be. It will be 2 years after January...and besides a few goals and dribbles, he hasn't done anything remarkable
  12. I love it how he manages to pull those amazing saves just like that, like they are regular, normal ones. Saved our asses out there. We definitely didn't need another Atletico to happen ....
  13. We are playing with a false 9, Barca style!
  14. Did rather well just like against Tottenham though if he had a better long passing and shooting ability he would be among the better midfielders in the world. Seems so one sided at times...I like really his partnership with Rami.
  15. I fucking love him and his attitude! There was a moment when he lost the ball and Shakhtar started a counter attack. He got up right away and started chasing the player who took the ball from him. Ran for 30m-40m in full sprint, tackled him from behind, took the ball and started a counter for us. That aside, he just throws himself around all the time and dies for every ball. Something not a lot of players I've seen do. He seems to be doing really well with Mikel in the double pivot and I'm glad he found a spot in our starting 11
  16. Reminded me a lot of the Atletico game. Lots of pressure on us and dangerous counter attacks that just didn't let us play our game. Shame, especially for that early goal that changed the course of the game and opened up counter attacks for Shakhtar... Oh well, a win against red twats who never give up will cheer us all up
  17. His form dropped down a bit in the last couple of games, but since he is 21 and this is his first season it's acceptable. Best is yet to come from Eden, I'm sure After Piazon and Oscar, Hazard is our youngest player What I believe would make him a better players is to develop a better shooting technique from distance and to improve on set pieces. It's all done through training and he has the talent to do it. It's a similar situation to Messi and Ronaldo when they were young. Their playstyle before was based a lot on dribbling on the flank and trying to assist teammates and as they years passed they've improved on their finishing and set pieces by tirelessly practicing and have become much more unpredictable and complete.
  18. Another forgettable below mediocre match for him...whenever he gets the ball now, you just now he is going to fuck up. That amazing pass from Oscar was something he should have converted with no probs... Damn you Fernando, you are boring the shit out of me Oh and he really needs to stop falling down on the slightest contact... Easy to show some balls with Ivanovic near you
  19. Torres is just laughable...like we are playing with 10 men...
  20. Just scored a goal from a FK in 89th minute to give Atletico a last min win
  21. Keep doing it Roberto! We don't need Guardiola, we have our own Chelsea version! Oh and this
  22. Haha it's rather crazy David Luiz scores some absolute bombs + that FK against Nordsjihgasdfgiland Ivanovic scores like crazy also. Terry got 49 in our shirt. And Cahill bombs them in like Torres speaks to the media Brilliant goal today that changed the course of the game. His performance was also top top class.
  23. I'm surprised how strong he is for his build and age. HE won a few duels against Sandro and Huddlestone today like they were 18y olds
