I am proud of him, he is trully a Chelsea player.
-
Despite all the bad things he does and how much he is frustrating, he will do two 'good' things : to give us the possibility to not play once again Malouda on the wing, because his pace, his speed, his crossing and shooting abilities are way too much poor for him to be more than average (Indeed, he - Malouda - should only play in the midfield) ; To have a second option - after Drogba - for not playing the Ladyboy.
-
Wait man, he is already doing extra shooting practice. HAHAHA.

What the hell, I really cannot see where you come from with this. First off all, David Luiz is still struggling and still mistake prone ? I do not think so. For the past month or so he has been one of our best players (and by far our best player in at least two games), and he didn't did a mistake for a long time, as far as I can recall. To say he is struggling and mistake prone at the moment... MEH. And secondly, I really don't see in what Cahill would have change something if he had been played instead of Luiz since the brazilian did nothing wrong in this game, I really can't.

I bet the zambian goalkeeper will be buy by Liverpool. If you know what I mean.

I hate when players take steps before shooting. It shouldn't be allowed, it is to hard for the goalkeeper...

To my mind, we have to give him his second season here, and unless this second season is catastrophic, we should give him a third season. It is only after this period we should decide to whether keep him or not. Considering our current situation, to change our manager again is the last thing we should do. Indeed, our squad is old, average and past its sell by date, therefore we should focus to build a young and competitive squad. And if we change our manager this summer, we won't be able to do so, because firstly we would spend a lots of money on changing the manager, and secondly the new manager will stick with the 'old guard' since he won't know good enough the squad to make drastical changes. While you can argue that André Villas-Boas has made a lots of mistake since taking the Chelsea manager job, you can't deny he has a very interesting philosophy about the game and "long term projects". Indeed, his game philosophy is to play a beautiful football - a Barça-esque football - and it is precisely what our owner is looking for. Plus, he wants to build here a project for the futur, a long term project, which is exactly what we are crying for some times now. Finally, the kind of players he is targetting in the mercato (Hazard, Lucas Moura, etc..) is the kind of players that our squad is lacking. So, even if he will keep making mistake tactically-wise, he seems to be the right man to build the new Chelsea (I am not speaking about results). It is only at the end of his contract that we should decide to what to do with him. If he proves himself and show us he is really the big thing, then great ! If it happens that he doesn't live up to the expectations, then let him leave, and at least he would have created a sane squad and the next coach would be able to start on sane basis (with little to do). That's how I see it, at least.

Lampard being the weak link ? Certainly not. We don't really have a weak link (if we were to have a weak link, I would say our passing game). But we have a multitude of liabilities/bad things - which if isolated aren't a major problem / are a negligible problem - that are additioned together and are forming a major problem. This is exactly our problem, to my eyes. Even if we fix two or three of them, we won't solve our Problem as we have too many of them to fix. Indeed, our bad things in the squad, are : Cech, even if he is not poor, he doesn't have the level he had last year, and we have dropped relatively a lot of points because of him ; Bosingwa ; Ashley Cole who isn't as good as he used to be, and doesn't excel ; Meireles, who has been piss poor for the past three months, and has a lots of lack in his play ; Malouda, with his below-par passing game and poor pace ; Torres ; etc... This is just to name a few, and this is just our problems within the squad. If you take them one by one, without considering any other aspects, then they look relatively easy to fix and quite minor. But when they are being additioned with problems regarding the management, the board, the squad depth, etc... They are forming a whole difficult to analyse and to fix. As for Lampard is far from his best level, and he probably shouldn't have a starting role if we were a team competing for the title. But he is not that bad. And when you get a look to our other option in midfield, he is still being one of our best midfielder and should be in the starting eleven, in my honest opinion. If you ask me, he should be played instead of Meireles. The later man offer us nothing for a long time, now, and even if Lampard doesn't offer much more than the portuguese in the building of the game and in a defensive aspect, he still manages to get goals. My final word, it will be an hard task to solve our Problem (I speak about the whole) and it will take a lot of time. And the key to solve it isn't to sack the coach, or to target one player in particular (in the sense of making him a scapegoat.

Nice to see you again

I have posted this ^ after the game against United, last week-end. Unfortunately, it's the outcome I feared - the highlighted part - which happened. For the past week, I was being optimistic and was believing that our team would have been all fired up for this game, but the Candid part of me did forgot that the vast majority of our players - sadly - don't give a flying fuck about the club. It seems they don't even have dignity... Because when you have dignity, after a robbery like the one we have been victim of last week-end, you should be buzzing, be angry, and try to prove something. But no, they are still walking on the pitch like if we were Barcelona FC, and they still have good funs during training sessions or when they are on the bench, like if everything was alright for us. As I have stated in the underlined part, if we were to give away our fourth spot, I cannot see us be able to gain it back. Unfortunately, it is what we did, and right now I am very pessimistic about our chances to qualify for Champions League. First off all, I am pessimistic because we never had been in a great dynamic thus far, so I can't see us finding miraculously a good dynamic, and furthermore, I can't see the bunch of living-deads who are filling our squad starting to show some interest and passion... This is really worrying, and I am looking forward to see their reaction in the next game. Because if our slipping off the top four doesn't motivate them, then nothing will ever motivate them. Today, I think André has a big part in the defeat, but all my displeasure and anger is directed toward our players (excepted some of them, of course). How on earth they can't put their effort together when we are in such a critical situation ? How on earth they can't run, just even a little bit ?? And how on earth some of them can't pluck up their courage and start shooting instead of avoiding it for personal reasons (you know who I am speaking about) ? If they don't like the club, they can at least work hard for the man who is paying their wages... And if they don't have the dignity to start to sweat for their boss, they can do it for themselves, can they ? It seems no... Fuck them !
-
Wishful thinking here. I honestly do not think we will see a young start a game for the remaining of the season (bar maybe Romeu). We are out of the top four, thus André will stick with the so called "experienced players", even if it is not necessarily the right choice, that's what will happen, so no youngsters for the EPL. And, the FA Cup is our last chance to win something (don't tell me our board and André still believe in our chances in Champions League), so I hardly see a young get a start.
-
A new mathematical formula : Torres + Bosingwa = defeat.
-
Well, our players don't feel tired, because as we play like Barça, they don't need to run. Lol.
-
By the way, it comes from a very bad throw-in made by Bosingwa.
-
I am not happy, because Malouda is the only player we have who permits us to play Mata in the hole. So for me there's no problem with Malouda playing as long as it means Mata in the middle. For me, Malouda should play to get the best out of Mata.

We aren't in a situation where we can afford to give the Ladyboy another year. If Manu could have done it with Berbaflop, that is because aside him, all the players and the team were good. This isn't the case at Chelsea, we have many positions on the field to improve, whose the striker's one, hence we do not have time to waste with a soon 28 years-old strieker who can't score to save his life. Even if he captures back some form next year, he isn't a long term solution, and we are trying to build something for the long term, thus we shouldn't waste time with someone who could be usefull for maximum two years. Plus we are paying him 150 000 fucking pounds per week, we aren't a charity association, we should rather give this wage to Hazard and Willian (I name these two players since we are strongly linked with them). All in all, we have to get rid of this Ladyboy, he is a poison. As for Ancelotti, I am not agree with you. The kind of players he likes doesn't suit the politic of our club. At Milan when Ancelotti came here, they've found themselves with a team full of grandpas. The same would inexorably have happened with us.
-
You are too nice, mate, you want to give chance to everybody, Torres, now Ancelotti... Sacking Ancelotti was spot on. With Ancelotti as manager this season, the present wouldn't have been better than with André, and the future... Well, there wouldn't have had any future with the italian, he would have done purchases à la Benayoun, and we would be in a mess for a long long time.

Thanks you everyone !! It's nice to see you have liked my contribution to the forum. And well done to the other candidates !

English press and FA are so good to put the self-destruction button before every tournament.

To be frank, at the minute when Alex Ferguson Howard Webb has whistled the first penalty, I knew we wouldn't have more than one point at the end of the game. It was written all over it. I am not really bothered by what happened yesterday. My only concern about this game is, how will the team react ? They will either be fired up for the next few games, and will be fighting to show their frustration about the injustice which happened yesterday and to show they have character, or they will give up everything, and will stop to beleive in everything. This is the only thing bothering me at the moment. I really hope it will be the first case... Because if it comes to be the second, our next slip will put our fourth place in jeopardy. And if unfortunatly we let our place slip away, I can't see us being able to recapture it. Hence I hope our team will be up for next games. The only few things I'll speak about the game : Mata was superb, I hope André will keep playing him in the hole. Another good game from Luiz. Oh, and I've almost forgotten, I am sick of this mancs and sick of media sucking 'em up.
-
Yeah, Dijon (he "helped" in the Kakuta case).
-
For this end of season, it will be hard to make it since we don't have right wingers, but we will have to play him centrally. His playing style is really not suited to play on the wing. Indeed, he does rarely track back to do his defensive work, and when he does, it really isn't efficient. Then, he doesn't have a link play good enough to be a winger, because the winger has to take a part in the build of the game, and Danni can't. Finally, his greed is a problem on the wing, he always tries to go alone, that makes a lots of ball being lost while they (the balls) should have been crosses or passes. We need a player who makes shots, he (always) makes shots... So we should try.

Malouda on the pitch permitted Mata to shine.
