First of all, very good piece of writing, BL. I would like to respond about the part I have quoted. Untill recently, I was frustrated with André because he took time to make his assessment and because he had chosen to compose with the squad he had inherited. But I did realize it wasn't really the case. Indeed, if we did make in the summer insignificant changes, it is due to a couple of poorly managed negociations and bad luck. We were in officialy for Alexis, Modric and Pastore. Alexis only wanted to go to Barça, there was nothing we could do (André even talked to him). For Pastore, he prefered to go to Paris and PSG offered more money than us. As for Modric, Levy was stubborn and our club waited too long before offering the last bid of £40m (yes, I believe we could have had a chance if Suprs had the time to think about this bid). So, if someone is to blamed for this summer failure, it is our (fucking) board and our bad luck. The only thing you can blame André for, it is that he didn't had a plan B good enough.
