  1. Ancelotti with Zola. Drogba swap for Kaka. Would bite your hand off for that right now.
  2. SSN: Ancelotti is number one target, and we are talking to his representatives RIGHT NOW. C.A is still in Italy. Man City and Blackburn have agreed compensation over Hughes, and have set a deadline of tomorrow for Hughes to decide.
  3. We haven't had many entries yet guys, and certainly not enough to make a team let alone a squad. If we can only get a few I'll have a word with Toby Brown and try and slot you into other teams. CJ - I dont think there is a participation fee, but i'll double check. REMEMBER, PM ME IF YOU WANT TO PLAY.
  4. REMEMBER TO PM ME BY THURSDAY IF YOU WANT TO TAKE PART. THANKS
  5. Closed the 'Who will replace Avram' topic. Discuss everything about the new manager in here. Ta.
  6. Going to lock this thread. Too similar to 'Who do you want as the new manager thread?' Ta.
  7. TalkChelsea Awards would be a good idea. If your interested in the Cobham thing, please PM ME BEFORE JUNE 4TH and I will put together a list of who's up for it. Please only PM if you CAN 100% MAKE IT. If we get a decent amount of people, I'll have a word with Toby. I doubt we'll get the suggested 30, but maybe we could merge with another forum who are struggling for numbers. PM me ASAP if interested. Cheers
  8. Fair point Esk, but my opinion is that we need someone who has been there and done it. Someone with the experience of Hiddink, Scolari, Ancelotti etc. Rijkaard, although young, has hatfulls of it, and has 2 La Liga titles and a CL trophy to his name. THAT alone will attract Roman to Rijkaard rather than Sparky.
  9. Guys, need to put my admin hat on. Keep it about HTC in here. New manager discussion here Ta.
  10. Sparky is NOT the man for the job, and I don't understand why so many fans are going potty for him. I read a few message boards of Blackburn the other day about MH coming to Chelsea. I can't remember the exact quote but one described it as "a corner shop owner going and running a big Tesco's". When his own fans don't think he's ready for the step-up then why should we? Yes, he's done a decent job with Rovers. Not great, but OK, but lets not forget he was knocked out of the FA and UEFA Cups by Coventry City (at home 4-1) and FC Larrissa (Cyprus) respectively. He had a great start to his career at Blackburn but lets not forget they were challenging the top four under Souness for a season. And the last 2-3 years they've been pretty static. People hype on about him having a 'Chelsea family' with Kevin Hitchcock and Eddie Niedzwiecki among his staff. Thats all well and nice, but they are hardly world class staff are they? I dont want to be over critical of Mark, because he is a legend and perhaps one day he will be the right man for the job. I dont think his name would even be mentioned if he hadnt have previously played for Chelsea, and he doesn't have the experience, quality or CV for this job right now.
  11. Its bollocks. Its from a website that anyone can write articles for. Theres no source, and i'm pretty sure Didier has never spoken exclusively to bleacherreport.com.
  12. The Times say we are after a 'hard man', ruling out Rijkaard, Mancini and Sven. They reckon our shortlist is Lippi, Hiddink, Scolari and Mark Hughes. They also say that Hiddink's agent has said he wont leave the Russian job until 2010 World Cup, and that Blackburn won't stand in Sparky's way if he wants to join us.
  13. I'd imagine so. Theres been no news on it. The place in which it happened is somewhere that the club have connections with, and I think there is a Chelsea funded 'soccer school' there. However, I dont think the tour/friendly is in the same area. From this map it would appear that Guangzhou is quite far from Chengdu, so I doubt it would cause any problem.
  14. Three games in China. Cant remember the team names though. Then a tournament in Moscow with Lokomotiv, AC Milan and Sevilla. (Two games I think) Itinery as I know it: July 10th: Training begins at Cobham. July 23rd: Guangzhou, China July 26th: TBC July 29th: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (I think Malaysia National Team) Aug 1st-3rd: Russian Railways Cup (Sevilla/Lokomotiv/AC) Heard nothing about Rangers/Feyenoord though.
  15. Welcome back pal.
  16. From TOCFCWS Your a legend JT, and ALWAYS will be.
  17. Nice one mate. Emotions of losing big games often make people make silly comments.
  18. Thats a key point. It was always going to be difficult for a man replacing Jose. Thanks Avram, nice bloke, but not the right man for the job.
  19. Avram Grant has been sacked today. Discuss.
  20. Brilliant post mate. I disagree with that mate. They hate him because he dives and acts like a child at times.
  21. Bruce Buck seemed to deny it tonight on Chelsea TV's "Live From Stamford Bridge". He said there was as much truth in it as the Lamps > Inter rumour.
  22. Paulo is not a natural LB. He just plays there for Portugal as they have 3 RB's and no LB's. Sheva is as good as gone too.
  23. We signed Belletti for £3.5M, so we wont get £5m. Pizarro £6M? Are you having a laugh?
