So the TV fixtures have been announced today. This is the opening weekend: Saturday Manchester United vs Swansea 1245 Arsenal vs Crystal Palace 1730 Sunday Liverpool vs Southampton 1330 Newcastle vs Man City 1600 Monday Burnley vs Chelsea 2000

No one really wants our back up strikers to Costa to be Drogba and Torres. But if we have Costa and Lukaku, who would people rather have as a third choice out of the two?
-
Arsenals deal with Puma is £30m a year over 5 years. Liverpools Warrior deal is £300m over 6 years. Citys with Nike is only £12m a year........ chumps.
-
I can't see us waiting for Ba to be sold to announce this. We don't have to announce his squad number the day he signs! The delay is purely because he wanted his holiday out the way first.
-
Ours is £300m over 10 years. Theres is £750m over 10 years.

‘This is the best moment of my life,’ said Schurrle. ‘I had to cry because I was so overcome. I couldn’t stop it. ‘It was always a dream to become a world champion. We are so looking forward to celebrating with our fans in Berlin.’ ‘It was a fantastic night for us. I still can't believe it,’ Schurrle added. ‘It's unreal but we deserved it; we had the 100 per cent will and, if you see how Bastian Schweinsteiger fought, it was crazy. ‘[For the goal] I just wanted to run and cross the ball and it was a fantastic finish from Mario Gotze. ‘Now we can say we are the Golden generation, because we've won it, we won the World Championship. That's what everybody expected and we did it. I have no words.’ ---- Jose Mourinho paid tribute to Schurrle, saying: 'I can say my player is a world champion and he was involved in the move for Gotze's goal. The Chelsea family is all very proud of him.' Meanwhile, Schurrle’s Chelsea team-mates were quick to offer their congratulations on Twitter. Petr Cech said: ‘Great final... Congratulations to #GER and especially @Andre_Schuerrle !’ Eden Hazard tweeted: ‘Congratulations my man @Andre_Schuerrle ... See you soon.’ Cesar Azpilicueta added: ‘Enhorabuena Alemania y en especial a @Andre_Schuerrle!’ (Congratulations Germany and especially to Andre!).

Injured all season, comes back and wins a CL and a WC medal.
-
Cute.
-
Any details? Loan or permanent? Fee? Word on twitter is Ba and Marin both joining them on loan.
-
Good signing?
-
Yeah I found it weird too! Can't find the original source of the tweet, but this is a repeat. I'm sure I didnt hear it from the source stated here. (AS)

Sergi Dominguez or Di Marzio said that hes turned down offers from Qatar and China (I think its them 2) on higher money but Jose has offered him a player-then-coach deal here, which he prefers. Fuck knows how true that could be.
-
He does get a fair few bits right about Chelsea. But gets a lot wrong too.
-
As a free agent, maybe hes just deciding to have a couple of extra days and weeks of holiday.
-
He actually played 4 of the preseason games in USA last summer. And he played the two games in USA against City after the 2013 season. But yeah, back to Costa guys.

http://metro.co.uk/2014/07/13/romas-mehdi-benatia-wants-to-move-to-chelsea-and-play-for-jose-mourinho-4796369/ Metro saying that GdS are reporting that Benatia wants to move to Chelsea. Never seen much of this guy, what do people think?

Depends how much prize money they are able to reinvest from winning La Liga and getting to the CL final I guess. Isn't the distribution of TV money in Spain changing quite dramatically this season or something too? But they've bought for big price tags before so I wouldn't be surprised to see them do it again. Turan, Mandzukic and Rodrigo is an interesting front 3 for sure and they'll give every side in La Liga a tough job. Oblak and Siqueira are really good replacements for Courtois and Luis whilst the rest of their defence and midfield should be the same as before. I think they'll do well again next year.
-
"Cellino is so suspicious of the number 17 that he had the seats at his former club, Cagliari, taken out and replaced with 16B." They're a disaster waiting to happen this season.
-
Absolutely, and I think they've signed good players. But, having won the title for the first time in what was it, 18 years? To then go and lose the three forward players that delivered it must be gut wrenching for a football fan. Heard they're pretty close to signing Rodrigo from Benfica who will be another good option for them.
-
Defensively? Wasn't he at some fault for the Marcelo OG vs Croatia and the Matip goal vs Cameroon? I don't want to be one of the guys constantly slagging David off but the constant bad moments of defending aren't irregular. He seems to make some sort of mistake in every game.
-
I'd be quite surprised if we don't see some developments with this one by Friday 5pm. Would imagine Jose would want him on board by the time the European friendlies begin and preseason intensifies. We'll end up paying the buyout clause for sure.
-
Because the kids poor form over the last seven months is probably due to pure exhaustion. Rushing him back isn't going to help anyone. I remember Mata had a similar situation 2 years ago having had the Euro U21 tournament in 2011 and the Olympics and Euro 2012 a year later, practically playing 2 years non stop. Di Matteo chose to give him an extra week or so off in September. -- Gotta feel sorry for Atletico fans, they've ended up selling their three strikers from last season as Adrian Lopez has now joined Porto. Going to be very interesting to see their starting 11 next season.

Good luck, Andre. Come home a world champion!
