Don't worry, Mou can judge in 10 minutes.

If Pogba comes we have to keep the Eiffel Tower as the picture on his Current Squad thread.

Having a release clause helps, I would think.

Since when is Qata an offensive word? On topic - this must be the longest fucking medical ever.

Like a 'Steer clear of this guy' alert, yes?

There's little cunty about this tweet. Just become fashionable to hate on him even when he's not being a twat about things.

Was a case of how, not where in Lampard's situation ... for most of us, anyway.

Boy = Pedro Blue = Man U Pink = Chelsea

'Add to Cart', then 'Continue Shopping' and type 'Central Midfielder' in the search box.

So typical that the week before the game I was dreading (City) went by quick while when there's something to look forward to this weekend it keeps dragging on and on, seemingly interminable.

Someone really came up with 'disinterested' as an adjective for Remy. Okay.

Really? He looks more like a 65 year old version of Ray Romano from Everybody Loves Raymond.

Are you hoping Martinez reads this site? Good stuff.

Not necessary, but a tremendous value add, wouldn't you agree? The probability of developing into a much better player, forming lasting links with other younger members of the squad (Zouma), embracing the club culture, fan relationships, providing stability when managers inevitably come and go ... It's a little bit like Ferdinand with United, sure they made him the most expensive English defender at the time, but it paid off and looking back it was an investment that paid off several times over. Not comparing them as players but I can certainly see the appeal that it has. But of course, football is unpredictable and some risks will always be there. My point about the regret bit was in regards mainly to the competition. If you feel he is overvalued now, think what will happen a year on when the Mancs come calling. Other players will emerge no doubt but every potential signing will have things going for and against it - that should not stop us seizing the chance that we have at this moment.

You said Barcelona, not Arsenal. Anyway - 18 assists (or whatever it was) - that qualifies as being 'good'. Villa reached the CL final (and scored 15 in all comps that season, wiki says).

Pedro nearly done and vast amounts being bid on Stones ... think it's fair to say Roman has backed Mourinho so all of you with doubts about them falling out can rest easy.
-
Cesc, Sanchez, Villa, Eto'o, Ibra ... Edit - I feel so stupid for forgetting Yaya of all people.

Sterling. I think you also have to look at England in isolation, even more so the top English clubs. They have more to spend than everyone bar Bayern and the big 2 in Spain, especially when it comes to English players. Even Arsenal paid £16m for Chambers, ffs. I'm not saying Stones isn't overpriced, I just think the extra 5 or 10 million won't hurt us when we're getting a good, versatile, HG player who will contribute straightaway and hopefully kick on to be a key member looking ahead.

0-0? The last thing I expect from Chelsea at the moment is a clean sheet.

The market is crazy, it's pointless comparing to what's gone on before because those times will never return. Every passing window the prices go up a level you wouldn't think they would touch, but it happens anyway. With stuff like the new deal kicking in next season, this will continue. So for one of the top handful good young English players out there it's not unreasonable to think Everton would ask for such a price. It's not an English thing (for me, anyway) .. we were always going to need a proactive centre back and while we probably can hold off on a signing in this position for this season, I suppose if the club thinks we better address the situation now when there appears to be no competition, why not go for it? Looking at the alternatives there are the likes of Varane (impossible), Gimenez (Atleitco drive a hard bargain too) and Laporte (release clause of about 35m and I admit Idk much about him because hey, I don't have time to watch Athetic) ... no distinctly better option out there in that age bracket. There's always going to be some English tax but we can afford it.

When United or City get him for 50m next summer the same people posting '40m? lmao' now will turn around and say we should have signed him when we had the chance.

JT gets written off every season mate. Probably crashing the celebrations of 7-a-side teams in public parks ..
