  1. And a non 30 year old creative playmaker as well
  2. That diagonal faint sky blue effect in the home shirt looks nice. But what were they thinking with the away shirt P.S. I can imagine Drogba in that shirt
  3. N'zogbia >>>> Malouda, Zhirkov. That much I know for sure.
  4. I remember two distinct situations yesterday where balls were squared looking for players in the box and he was nowhere to be found. Just not making those runs you'd expect any half-decent striker to make. One was from Anelka and one was from Cole. He looks like he can't wait for this season to end. So do I tbf. Let's hope the summer brings us the answers we need.
  5. Great pics Steve. Were you in MHL?
  6. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/chalkboards
  7. LDN's gonna win by a landslide haha.
  8. Decent , not spectacular. But then he wasn't required to be. Just a nice way to make him feel a part of the squad. Needs a season long loan to a Premiership team where he will be played more often than not.
  9. Because Alex doesn't make 5 of those in 10 games? And c'mon, you know that goal can't be blamed on Alex. The deflection was unreal.
  10. 20 minutes vs most of the season.
  11. Could the girl be any more cuter?
  12. Is it just me or does Josh look a bit of a nervous pigeon? Not in his play, his expression. Rarely seen him smile.
  13. Every time after a shameful performance I say to myself this is a one-off, it won't happen again, blah blah. And every time, I'm proven wrong. It was painful to watch us play today. Just no desire, no commitment, no fight, no creativity, I could go on. The players looked like they were holidaying already, Carlo looked helpless, the fans were probably wondering if they'd be better off getting a tan somewhere. Couldn't help but laugh when they equalised. Perfect summary of how our season's gone. Decent, but not good enough. How did Anelka, Lampard and Torres manage 90 minutes? The phrase 'shadow of a player he once was' is an understatement for Lamps. And it's excruciating to watch. I've grown up loving the man and it's just unbelievable it's the same guy. Oh well, victim of his own high standards I guess. I can't remember one meaningful contribution made by Anelka. Torres - well, the less said, the better. Congratulations on the assist, btw . Then Carlo does his usual subs fuck-up. Taking off Bena who I thought was decent and doing all the right things and bringing on Malouda. All 4 of Malouda, Anelka, Drogba and Torres on the pitch together. God help us. Both goals from set-pieces, says it all. Not one clear cut chance from open play. It's been done to death, but one creative force and two wingers, pretty please with custard on top. About the first goal, no blame attached to anyone really. Even though Alex's pass sold out his partner, the deflection was as jammy as it gets. The second one though - where was the marking? Add this to Villa, Everton and whichever ones I forgot. Cech - 6 Ivan - 7.5 (our best attacker, oddly, but not surprisingly when all the others were so poor) Alex - 6.5 Terry - 6 Cole - 6 Josh - 6.5 Ramires - 6 Lampard - 5.5 Anelka - 3 Benayoun - 6 Torres - 3.5 Special mention to Josh, delighted for him to make his full league debut. Thought he was very calm initially but felt the pressure and made a couple of errors later on. Still, good debut, that one ball to Ashley in the first half and the one occasion where he maintained possession under pressure from two of their guys showed us what he's all about. Keeping my liking for Carlo aside, if he's gonna be here next season, he's seriously got stuff to sort out and issues to address. P.S. The new kit looks awesome in action!
  14. Shush, don't bore me. And don't make veiled attempts at derailing a thread.
  15. No seriously, if say United or Madrid had spent 50 million on him for what we saw today, I guarantee that you and I and our neighbours and their dogs and the fleas on them would be laughing our respective asses off! I'm not criticizing the signing, of course not. He will come good, form is temporary and class is permanent and all that, but he was horrific today. Got taken off the ball as easily as a 5 year old. A first touch worse than anyone else on the pitch, no composure, no menace, no fight, no hunger. You only need to see the way he performed against Ham to know what desire is. If it hadn't been for the even more shambolic Anelka he would have definitely been my flop of the match. Completely made jokers out of us who were calling for him to given a full game. The contract is for 5 years and not 5 months as I like to say, but the lad isn't worth a fiver atm.
  16. If Carlo goes, the little faith I have or like to try and have in the direction this club is going will be eroded beyond repair.
