First you admit we're obsessed with white skin, then you say 90% aren't. Bit contradictory there. To my mind, being obsessed with white skin reveals a deep seeded dislike for one's own appearance and indeed those of others who happen to be dark. Why are South Indians referred to derogatorily as "kaalia"? It's often passed off as being merely in innocence and jest, but is it really? I don't think so, not in some cases any way. Have you seen the way in which Blacks are portrayed in the entertainment mediums here? Tell me that's not due to an inherent superiority complex we feel we have over them. And you say most people would 'go bezerk' if someone from the family happened to have a white girlfriend. Why so? Is that not unfair bias against a race? The white skin bias for me is a metaphor for our approval of anything and everything Western. I never said all Indians are racist, that is naturally impossible in any country of the world. Certainly there's little or no racial violence here, unless the subject of race gets mixed with alleged religious propaganda, which is a volatile cocktail (eg. Graham Staines,1999).
