  1. On reasons for the move : On his new teammates - On what he wants to offer - http://soccernet.esp...ol-exit?cc=4716
  2. Great. We need the newer ones to post though, majority just join and never participate.
  3. What is it with Russian planes and crashes? The fighter jets our Govt purchases from them (Sukhois and MIGs) are very accident prone too. What a tragedy. RIP.
  4. Dalglish mentioned 'couple of weeks' when it happened (Aug 25).
  5. Absolutely. Soldado has been red hot for around 15 months now. Spain's striking options are terrifying.
  6. There are so many fucked up people on these forums that I think it's better if I leave.
  7. Great. Yet another thread with the same repetitive jibber jabber. The 'search' function is the least used function on this forum.
  8. Having incestuous sex in a lift is just wrong on so many levels ...
  9. Of course, we have Malouda for that. Is Terry finished? No. Is he getting there? In 2 years, yes. The Maldini example was mindless anyway so won't bother discussing that but even by regular CB standards, JT has had to endure much more in a physical sense. His willingness to play through the pain barrier is well documented. And that I'm afraid is what will hasten his swansong. Personally though Jones would have been a perfect successor for him but oh well. United did very well for themselves there.
  10. He isn't really a deep lying playmaker, Harry put him there last season in order to accommodate Van der Vaart. In his earlier seasons at Spurs you'd often see him playing just beyond the opposition's midfield line, but not exactly 'in the hole' if you know what I mean. He'd have someone like a Huddlestone/Jenas/Palacios holding behind him when Harry played 4-4-2. But last season he switched to 4-4-1-1 to fit VDV into the side so Modric was pushed back. But you're right about there being room for both Modric and Mata in the same side. Mata is always mobile and moving into the channels as well as the centre while Modric stays central primarily (can play wide if asked to) so their roles can co-exist.
  11. Got to love Bally. Happy he'll be given a great reception, an overdue one.
  12. The benefit of a first full, healthy pre-season in years is evident. He looked so jaded and low on confidence last season but it's been very different so far. Obviously still hasn't scored but you get a feeling that it's getting closer. The movement is sharper and more intelligent. Hopefully he gets some decent service soon and starts banging them in.
  13. ^If that doesn't scare your opponent, I don't know what does.
  14. I want to make a joke about this but .... the guy died, so I'll refrain.
  15. I hear people go on an on about the quality and pedigree of our players. But like we already found out last season, a team takes the field, not 11 individual players. Fact remains there's no cohesion, no understanding, no communication and no fluidity. You look at Chelsea playing these days and you'll see eleven guys playing with no sense of purpose or direction. Posiitve, flowing football; breaking up player power; youth integration; a top 4 finish. We achieve this, and I'll be delighted.
  16. He's right about the tempo. But fuck him, why should we be bothered about every nobody that gives his comments to the press.
