I entirely agree, he has tried hard to bring about change here. That can be seen with the pursuits of Modric, Perreira, Willian, Lucas, etc. I'm not apportioning blame for that. The point i was trying to make was that he probably realizes now just how unprofessional some of these top name footballers are. He's 33 and it's his first really big job, he's worked here before and knows these players so chose to trust them with the objectives the club set out with. As the summer window came to a close though, the 40m bid for Modric demonstrated that he might have started to think he was a bit too trusting.
