  1. oh i wouldn`t hold my breath....he couldn`t string four words together even when he was with us, so he has no chance now!
  2. that link didn`t work for me..just got the "Gateway timed out" messege...
  3. shit..that stream has froze for me...and now we playing good too..stuck with listening to the woman beater..
  4. we missing Lampard hugely today.. though i believe after that first half we will win now..they will run out of puff after giving it everything they had in the 1st without scoring and we will step it up.
  5. is mad to think that the year Jack Cork joined the club, was the year this kid was born..and well Jack is still waiting for his breakthrough with us. food for thought. good luck to the kid though..is getting himself into something where the success rate is very low at this level...though i guess even if you don`t make it at a top club like ours...you will end up with another chance at another club. also, hope he has good nurturing parent/s too..who will look after him properly when he`s away from CFC..and not treat their 11 year old boy like a cash cow.
  6. is years since i`ve seen CFC beat Villa in the flesh,so to speak...and for anyone whose been to Aston you`ll know how grim the place is on a normal day,let alone when you see the Chels lose there..the last time i saw the blues beat Villa home or away was at Villa in about March `99 Flo had one of his great games with a brace in a pretty comfortable win 3-0 or 3-1 if i recall correctly . anyway i tried to get a ticket for this match and failed so we may actually win this one now..thanks to me.. for anyone going to the game who hasn`t been there before, if you gonna stay up there for saturday night,i wouldn`t bother with Aston...i really would prefer to spend the night in somewhere like Leicester ,Rotherham,Huddersfield and the like.. than spend another night in Aston..is like the worlds largest industrial estate with hardly any units not derelict with a spaghetti junction and a load of tower blocks to add to the gloom. Birmingham is a lot better these days..is quite impressive what they have done to the city centre compared to what it used to be and New Street station is a lot safer place than it was in the big hoolie days of the 80`s and early 90`s...just don`t wear any colours and you should be fine. also it has some great places to eat..especially Indian and Oriental food. anyway ,just thought i`d give you guys an heads up...maybe Aston isn`t as bad now..but i don`t recall hearing about an atom bomb hitting the place in the last couple of years so i guess it`s still as bad..feel free to ignore my advice tho..can always share our horror stories when you get back..
  7. i haven`t seen that pic..anyone got an heads up where i can find it?
  8. same here dude..went to L.A in `83 and saw both the Lakers and the then-L.A. Rams from the NFL and been fans of both teams ever since..but been a Chelsea blue since 1980,when i went to my first game and am the fourth generation of Chelsea fans dating back from the early 1930`s. so the love is obviously deeper with the Chels..followed by the Rams, with the Lakers a very close third. getting back to the Lakers..i was gutted when Trevor Ariza left last summer... but i guess big bad Ron Artest was a pretty good addition... i know most non-Lakers NBA fans like to think it`s all about Kobe and for sure he`s one of the GOAT`s but i think we got a really solid squad these last couple of years since we traded for Gasol and brought back the Little Rock from Little Rock..Fisher. here`s hoping Bynum can have a season free from injury for once. ..think only injuries are holding him back from becoming a top Centre. not sure who i see as our main rivals for the championship and yet another "three-peat" for us. Miami are obviously the team people are looking at to challenge with the additions they`ve made..just have to see how they all gell together i guess..not worried about them tho..will just add to the excitement with us having some more serious competition.
  9. definately. and looking at his options anyway....Barcelona & Real don`t need him, tho Jose could try to get him just to piss Roman,Carlo & Arnesen off,i guess....Man U are the ones who strike me as our main challengers for his long term services, every other top club don`t seem to have a need for him,....that would sting if he went to Man U..we gotta sign him. Gael and/or his agent gotta realise he`s gonna have to work himself up to be among the top earners...if he signs a 5 year deal with us,ihe`s likely to have it extended and with a further pay rise to closer to what the top earners get when he`s 22-24, if he plays like many of us believe he can. great news about Bran..or promising news anyway..be great when he actually signs on the dotted line...strange how Italian teams have been sniffing round him since he signed for us..(and perhaps before) ...with what happened in Italy in midweek tho, if i was a Serbian i wouldn`t want to be playing in Italy..the Italians didn`t seem up for violence in midweek but they love it when the odds and numbers are heavily in their favour..e.g. ref and opposing players get hit by coins,bottles,flares...a couple of "scarfies" find themselves outnumbered in a dark alley and they getting cut up and usually their arse cheeks (weird i know..) etc... i really do think Branislav is one of those players who truly loves playing for Chelsea tho,the style of English football etc....i think if he went to spain it would be like when Mark Hughes went to Barcelona in `86, certainly talented enough but too strong a physical presence to not be targetted all the time by the refs who want to protect their frilly knickered fairies from the mans side of the game. as for Bosingwa..i was getting nervous for him but now he`s fit again..i think he got time to show his worth even if it`s gotta be by january..on the 1st of January,Chelsea will play the 18th game from now (Villa again btw)..i think aslong as he`s properly healed, even taking 3 or 4 games for him to get his match sharpness back..there are plenty of games left.
  10. i agree..sounds like something the americans would use...tho after all the ways ive seen Josh McEachran`s name incorrectly spelt i guess i understand it a bit.
  11. he`s only 18 (19 next week) the reserves will be fine for him for the time being...going out on loan away from the club and the coaches eyes seems to be more of a waste if Mancienne,Cork,Di Santo etc..are anything to go by.
  12. is great to see him back but we should as fans be prepared to be patient and not expect the real Bos to be back for a while...the way Essien comes back from injuries is far from normal,so we should not expect the same from Bos...just hope that he can eventually get back to his pre-injury form. is a shame the Man City game has come a month or two too early..because against their left flank we could really have done with a firing on all cylinders Bosingwa. still reckon we will get a hard fought victory tho..
  13. is good to see that the boys have been given squad numbers but why so high numbers when there`s plenty of lower numbers available? i`d like to see the youngsters that have been already promoted to the regular 1st team squad get higher numbers too..4 and 6 available so JB could have one of those numbers for example..
  14. Jose was exactly what we needed back then..Carlo is exactly what we needed last year, what we need now and what we need for the future. Hail to King Carlo long may he reign and bring the pain to our enemies in England and Spain.
  15. i think he could be exposed as a CB in a flat back 4..but could potentially be great in a back 3 playing the sweeper role, in a few years...i think most good DM`s could be good sweepers.. keep him where he is tho.
  16. in Carlo`s press conference today he named 4 starters..i`m trying to remember the exact 4...Kalou was one of them,i`m sure Ramires was another and that he named the fullbacks but can`t remember who they were...has been a long day in work and my head is a bit mashed at the moment. hope someone with a clearer mind can clarify who those other two were. he has said Bos and Bruma are both healthy again but Bos is ahead of JB in fitness after JB`s Op. neither will play sunday tho..
  17. just to update this Carlo has announced that Bos will play for the reserves on wednesday. Source: Chelsea TV
  18. as much as i like Bos..(think he`s one of the top 3 or 4 RB`s in the World when healthy and fit) with his contract running out in the summer tho,i do think that he really needs to get some games under his belt and show he`s fully over the injury before the year is out or he`ll be on the transfer market come January, ...Ivanovic could obviously fill in at the RB spot but if he did that would weaken the CB group. so yeah definately a position that needs an eye kept on. i`m not sure if Van der Wiel is the answer if Bos does leave, he seems a decent enough player..but with him being 22..the promising options we have in our youth ranks at RB would have their path blocked by someone who in the long term..may not be a better option than them. for that reason i think i`d prefer Srna. on the subject of RB`s what happened to the Germany & Leverkusen RB Castro ? he seemed to be one to watch a couple of years ago but has faded out of the limelight since then..
  19. if it is a broken back..hope its as minor as a broken back can be..i`ve fractured my skull twice and although i am still affected by it to a degree,it wasn`t as bad as it sounds or could have been..hope if it is indeed broken then he`s as lucky as i was with the outcome. my thoughts for him bypass his playing career and are for his own personal well-being as in..if he can walk again etc...if it`s any kind of broken back, then at his age i`d hope he does the sensible thing and retires.
  20. ha..word for word that is exactly what i was gonna say!
  21. it`s not recent ..my first hate was for the kid catcher in chitty chitty bang bang, then shortly after for LFC,when i was 8..then a couple of years later it went to just scousers in general. i hated LFC and its fans long before i hated Tottenham,Leeds etc.. yes they do ..i`m suprised you havent picked up on that by now to be honest... their mindset is..the English title belongs to them..Man U took it off them, they hated that but for years believed that it was only Man U who could stop them and if Man U finished 2nd then it automatically meant they were champions..first Arsenal came along and took what they think is theirs by rite and they hated Arsenal..then Chelsea came along and then their hate was turned to us. think you could do with spending a couple of months in Liverpool to be honest..i have and my hate for them has only grown stronger since... they talk about the community spirit they have in their city and how it`s unlike every other city..but spend every day of the year thieving off each other (they are basically the East end of the North),if Cameron stopped the benefit system in Liverpool alone he would half the money paid out to the whole of britain....they don`t class themselves as English but expect the rest of England to provide for them because they are too thick and lazy to work. i could go on..but i think i`ve covered enough..
