it could be a case of 1) Carlo classing only Centre Forwards as Strikers...and Neymar more of a Wing Forward like Malouda has played and/or 2) we may be trying to sign him this transfer window..but thats not to say that if we sign him now,he will play for us this season.

they just announced on ChelseaTV Petr has a tear in his calf..expected to be out for a month...luckily apart from the Community Shield we don`t have to play any top teams in that time span.

i have/had my reservations...his built that has already been mentioned is one..but that wasn`t my biggest, with the professional staff we have they will know how to help him bulk up and at 18 he obviously isn`t fully grown yet... up until today i thought of him as a great prospect, which he is but i was concerned because the footage i have seen of him as i had seen him as being a purely left footed player..(how many left footed players have we already on the books ?..about 10 i think..)... since the news came out that we have made a bid on him ,i have dug up all the footage i can find on him tho ,and what i see is although his left foot seems to be his strongest he is more than adequate on his right foot too..he is very much a two footed player..who could play on the right side of a front 3 if they decide to play Kakuta on the left side...i think i would prefer Lukaku than him..as i`m convinced he has the physical tools aswell as the skill set to succeed but signing him or atleast signing him and getting him to join us to play this year seems a non-starter so we have to wait on him (would love to sign him now and loan him straight back ) however if Neymar could bulk up and if he has the mental capacity for the PL..then he would be huge for us..and could possibly take Zola title as best player ever....once Drogba & Anelka have gone a front 3 of Kakuta,Lukaku & Neymar (with Sturridge,Borini & Mitrovic in the rotation) on song, would be unplayable..each player would be too much for just one defender so what would teams do..play with a 6 defenders? and that`s not including our midfield..attacking fullbacks etc.. it`s always a gamble spending big bucks on teenagers..but the rewards could be priceless. not sure if i would make the deal that is needed to get him..but if they pull it off, i will get behind it wholeheartedly and hope for the best...i would also give him atleast 2 years to evolve into a starter before i would brandish him a flop,if he struggles at first to adapt like he may very well do.

aah i see Manuf..well that sounds a good law to have....is nice for youth teams to win games, tournaments etc..but is the end product that is always gonna matter most..
-
to be fair tho, Bruma & Van Aanholt are good young defenders that would have qualified for that tournament but it seems they decided to not pick them because they have grown past that age group (talent wise, not age)..that certainly seems to be why they didn`t pick Bruma..don`t know if that applied to PVA too, but i would think it did.

he didn`t seem that bothered by it when interviewed on ChelseaTV after it had happened...Daily Snail just as usual, making a mountain out of a mole hill.
-
i just Wiki`d him..he`s had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus...is currently playing at his 18th club...

Vuvuzela's Banned at Stamford Bridge!
Duppy Conqueror replied to Blueboy's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
it won`t happen at the bridge..Chelsea fans start trends rather than follow them. -
i think all the girls remember Mark...he was a pretty boy.. i remember him for his goal at Shite Hart Lane in a 6-1 Blues win and a goal against Galatasary.
-
well, if nobody else is gonna mention him i guess it`s down to me...Ladies and Gentlemen..... i give you...*drum roll* loaned from Cannes in 1998 he had the unwanted stat of every time he scored, we lost against teams we hate..(West Ham & Leeds) i give you Laurent Charvet... 11 apps 2 goals . Was on the bench in Stockholm for our second European Cup Winners Cup win...joined Di Matteo in that dodgy dyed pissy blonde head hair with dark eyebrows look. at the end of his loan spell he stayed in England..well if you can class Newcastle as England..they certainly don`t speak English... and played in the 1999 FA Cup final for them, leaving in 2000 to start a 3 year spell with Man City.
-
just to add that should he leave,it will only be on a loan..theres no way it would lead to him leaving permanently..he`s rated far too highly at the club for them to sell him.
-
i`m laughing at them...they not only think they got Joe Cool `03-`08 circa...but on SSN they bringing up their history yet again... to go to Liverpool he needs to be paid more than anywhere else to compensate for lack of future medals and also the fact that he`s gonna have to replace his car & house contents on a regular basis.
-
Keep shining those Chelsea medals Joey..they are the last you will ever win in football now.
-
ah,knew they had signed Kjaer but not the others...that kinda blows that out the water then..unless any of them have picked up long term injuries since signing on then its a non starter. of course not all of those names listed are CB`s but theres enough there already..to keep Bruma out of making many starts.
-
fair play Kenyon never seemed shy about spending other peoples money..perhaps Gourlay is more concienscous(sic?) and has looked at the entire list of employees, their roles etc..and seen many cases of more people being employed than need to be..it`s not nice people losing their jobs etc..but it`s all part of business and does not necessarily mean the clubs going down the pan etc...just good business sense, from the point of view of the business itself.. i must admit i have no idea how many people are currently employed by Chelsea altogether tho..i think if we did then it may help to explain these things better, but i doubt if people who are needed most for the good of the club will be let go.
-
interesting times ahead.. i think unlike the previous loaned out players, where the club have mostly been more hopeful than sure that they have a long term future with us..it`s pretty clear that this loan move would be purely about speeding up the development of a young player that they rate very highly and and already are sure is a big part of our future 1st team squad.

Arsenal lack ambition because they actually have billionaire owners too..infact, between all the people on their board they have more money than Roman..they also have a 60,000 seater stadium that sells out but they don`t put title winning teams together because they make a profit anyway, so keep their hands in their pockets and rely way too much on cheap youngsters from the French and Spanish leagues rather than spend money that they need to spend to seriously chase titles.. they call Ash, Cashley because it rhymes with his first name and its a lot easier to accept publicly than one of their best players left to join a better club...Chelsea had just won their second consecutive Premiership title when he joined.so it`s fair to say that he was going to a side that showed they were better equipped to give provide him with medal winning oppurtunities. Deco left as you admit for footballing reasons.... Joe left because he was refused a pay-rise to become one of the clubs top earners, when his performances didn`t justify it... he has spoken with plenty of teams who have offered him good chances of starting and at clubs better equipped to compete for trophies than Liverpool...i wouldn`t have liked it but all things considered and him being a North London boy (despite him being a Chelsea season ticket holder as a youngster) i would have accepted it if he joined one of them ,as it would have been a pure football decision with both North London teams in the Champions league , both play football that suits his style etc....but just like many have said apart from Liverpool ...he`s being unrealistic in his wage demands. he threw away the chance of ever winning another medal...but it`s his life to live as he sees fit...he shows up at the bridge in a Liverpool shirt tho and he`s getting it asmuch as the other scouse cunts...no hero`s return welcome will he get because he just don`t deserve it...the ol` Joe Cole was much loved but the new Joe Cole is just as much a cunt as the players and fans of the team he looks to be joining.

i just noticed that Wolfsburg are described as German Champions and that they play in Champions league..i know they not Champions this year (were in `09 i know) and didn`t think they qualified for the CL either...they seemed a far way off in 7th position when i last checked out the German league in about March or April..but they do mention Steve McClaren so it`s definately a recent article.
-
yeah..i`m not a big fan of loaning players out normally..but this loan could be a good one for JB and us..he`s obviously a quality player but with him not being 19 till November, there`s no need to rush him into our 1st team..i`d rather him have 30 or 40 games in the German 1st division than play in our reserves. but i hope they have an agreement that if he doesn`t play regularly that the loan is cancelled. i`m glad that if the report is correct Chelsea see his future role with us is at CB ...he can do a job anywhere at the back and DM if needed but think CB is definately his best position. it may very well mean that Riccy will stay for another year..have noticed that the reports of him leaving for Inter have gone quiet this week..so this may have something to do with that...or it could mean Mancienne is having a shot at CB with the 1st team..(or perhaps Van Aanholt after Bertrand impressed at LB on Saturday..) could mean quite a few things i guess..i should imagine that Ivanovic will compete with Alex to partner JT now aswell as compete with Bos for RB spot.

on season loan..according to the Daily Mirror. Chelsea's young Dutch dazzler Jeffrey Bruma is ready to sign for Steve McClaren's German champions Wolfsburg - and get his first real taste of the Champions League. Skillful defender Bruma is set to be cleared to join Wolfsburg on loan for the season despite making a rare appearance in the Blues line-up for the opening friendly with Crystal Palace. Bruma was wanted by McClaren when he was at Twente Enschede, but now the former England chief has earmarked him as one of his key captures in his new post in the Bundesliga. The talented 18-year-old is not rated ready for double-winning Chelsea yet. He wants to play at centre half but is down the queue at Stamford Bridge - he can also play right back but is being groomed for the middle. The Londoners think he will improve with regular competitive action and come back to play for them in a year.

Ashley wasn`t winning trophies at the time..he had in the past but not in the couple of years before he joined us. is debatable wether Deco was the most important player in that Rijkaard era...can`t see a club like Barcelona letting their "most important" player go for 8mill tho... but in both cases we bought those two..none of them left the top club of their careers to join no-hopers...and both can be considered footballing motives that led to their departures, rather then them wanting unjustified pay-rises, then ending up signing for a lesser team for the same money that was already offered. Joe could have signed for a better team than Liverpool by now if his motives were about football and his desire to start somewhere...but Liverpool now seem the only club willing to pay anywhere near what he craves so he will probably sign for them.
-
it would be only his second loan spell of his Chelsea career...but i think i`d rather us just cut our losses on him and let him rebuild his career elsewhere...i think he could do o.k for himself somewhere but i can`t see him doing it in the Premier league..perhaps somewhere like Portugal or Turkey would be better for him.
-
well i guess all parents lie to their kids at some time...Joe has always been happy enough to earn a starting spot before now..and if he had got a pay rise he would have been content to do it again.. i don`t see the comparison with Ashley or Deco tho sorry...Deco wanted to go home after being away from home for 14 years and Ash was the best left back in the world (and still is) who was playing at a club who had lost their ambition and are more interested in fleecing their fans than rewarding them with trophies, these days.
-
I just don`t know what has happened to Joe in the last year..has he changed agents or something or has his wife been getting in his head and turned him after giving birth to their first child with the.."think of the kid`s future Joe ..we`ve only got 16 million in the bank".kinda hen pecking... it just don`t seem like Joe atall..all this only in it for the money stance... i take some comfort tho in the fact that when he hangs up his boots it`ll be the medals he won with Chelsea he will be showing his kid..because he won fook all before he joined us and he`ll win fook all at Liverpool.. .when his kid is old enough to ask him why he left Chelsea, after all the medals he won ,the fans singing his name every week etc.....i wonder if he`ll be able to look into the kid`s eyes and tell it the truth..

Terry will get the boot, says Cannavaro
Duppy Conqueror replied to chrismada9's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
the media picks who plays for England ,who captains ,who manages them..that`s why Capello has spent the last 6 months or so, trying to please them and thats why since that time England team has lost it`s mojo....no team can suceed when they being coached by a puppet coach. and indeed Cannavaro should be concentrating on his own football career .if playing in Saudi Arabia can be classed as a football career..
