  1. Yeah, but my Dad was telling me there is a history of protests working in this country.. The Poll Tax Riots? Can you shed some light on that for me? I'm only 17 Will be urging all my friends to join me on March 26th to attend the demonstration! It's time we invoke our right to democracy!
  2. Haha this is why I love JFH. Has a great reading of the game and still cares about Chelsea!
  3. To be fair, we're starting to protest. The youth did an impressive job during the university fee rise demonstrations (though the media definitely over-hyped the violence/vandalism) & lately for the government's plan to scrap the EMA. This administration has seen more protests in a few months than the last Labour admin had! The days of this coalition are numbered, there's only so much the 'people' will stand for. Well argued. I see your points and you're right, good point on the other countries that aren't in the EuroZone. My personal belief is that the Euro should go and countries should return to their original currency, I'm glad England never adopted the Euro, sticking to the Sterling Pound. What I'd give for us to be back on the Gold Standard None the less, I see your point, and maybe the currency will become stable and strengthen once we escape the double-dip recession we'll all be in soon enough.
  4. Quite a few characters with links with both clubs in this one.. Torres, Joe Cole, Steve Clarke, Glen Johnson & Benayoun (had he been fit)
  5. Perhaps. But I fear an American intervention will just see more and more puppet leaders emerge, oil prices are taking a bad hit as it is over the trouble in Egypt The EU is good for trade, the Euro itself I believe is not a great currency, it's been failing for a while and the only reason it's still about is because millions is being pumped into it to keep it just about stable. The real inflation levels of it must be awful and I personally believe if countries return to their own currency it'll be better in the long run.
  6. The Euro has been one of the main factors we're seeing these Eurozone countries collapse, I remember reading how even from the beginning it was doomed to fail. I don't oppose having a European Union because it's good for trade, but the Eurozone (thus Euro) is something that is clearly not working and needs to be taken out of Europe now.
  7. For all of you who think we're signing Pastore anytime soon, think again..
  8. The sooner the Eurozone is abolished and the Euro is dissolved, the better. I was in favour of letting Ireland bankrupt themselves, so they could rebuild their economy themselves. Now they're at the mercy of the IMF and thus, America.
  9. Agreed. Though the act of revolution is inspiring and as we see, it's having an effect on other countries. The puppets being replaced by others is a valid point though, one just needs to look back on Tunisia now, Even in the 70's with the Cuban Missile Crisis & The Cold War* *American propaganda war.
  10. The reason we've got a significantly lower registered squad, as compared to other teams, is because we don't have the full quota. But we make up for that with the youth *pause for laughter* coming off the bench.
  11. 2 He was presented it by Arnesen when he first signed, don't read too much into it
  12. Is he a foster child, social worker or footballer?
  13. First Tunisia and now Egypt. People are now waking up around the world and activating their "right to democracy" by uniting to push out their puppet governments! Have a huge amount of respect for the students who started the wave in Tunisia, and for the people who carried on in Egypt! Better to die standing, than to live on your knees. - Ernesto 'Ché' Guevara
  14. Exactly. For all we know we might have an amazing 3 months and win the treble But really, you're definitely right.
  15. & so the rumours begin.. Was a great 2 days rumour-less. Personally, I just want us to sign a young, proven, winger. That's all. The likes of Lukaku can wait..
  16. Not his price tag. I watched him at Milan and when he came to Chelsea he was not the same, not as sharp or instinctive. But Serie A is a very different league compared to others, just ask Ibrahimovic. I liked seeing him play anyway, but for all he was hyped, he didn't deliver much. Compared to Mutu, I find it hard to say Mutu was worse.
  17. Mutu? Really? I mean sure he was an idiot for the cocaine and all, but I still think he was a quality striker for us and certainly did his job leading the attack, Sheva was a much greater flop. Also don't agree about Johnson
  18. I'd really prefer Bosingwa dropped, sure Ivanovic isn't as attacking, but he's still a good right back anyway.
  19. I don't think so, they boy may be 23, but he's got a ton of experience under his belt. He's played against opposition like Hulk, so I think he can handle his own. Understand your point, but remember Suarez is just as new as Luiz is, so they both haven't properly adapted, making them perfect sparring opponents (so to speak..)
  20. I had to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1i0vNFc0XQE&hd=1 Rep point for someone who can identify the track used
  21. Even if Mikel was solely at fault I'd still defend him as being the crucial man in our squad. He's the link between keeping the balance of defensive and attack in our squad and him being there instantly gives freedom for Cole and Bosingwa to run the wings, but also gives Essien the freedom to stay in attacking linking the all round play. Mikel will be our Pirlo in a sense, more fans need to recognise he's the best DMF we have!
  22. Coyle: Sign for us in June, you won't get to do that at Chelsea!
  23. I guarantee we'll see some dirty tackles by Gerrard.
