  1. Kind of expect him to play this "strongest team" to be honest. Like it was mentioned before, this is our final chance for silver wear. I should think he'll play some youth though, Sturridge & Kakuta perhaps. Wouldn't surprise me otherwise though.
  2. I guess we'll start seeing different coloured shirts at Stamford Bridge now
  3. Don't think Cech will play this one, probably be Turnbull or Hilario. Don't really know which is worse. On lighter news, you've got to love how Chelsea felt inclined to report Roy Keane's sacking on the official website
  4. Wouldn't bet on it, being moulded into playing in that holding role
  5. thank god for that. But now we should really be able to crush them (in theory anyway LOL)
  6. LMAO. AVRAM GRANT ANYONE? http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/london-chelsea-fc/2011/01/06/avram-grant-could-make-shock-chelsea-return-82029-27943796/
  7. Where did you see that? Can't see it on the website? Never mind, just looked on Twitter, he said it to CTV.
  8. Exactly what I've been saying. A 32 year old man should not play more than 1 game-a-week.
  9. 1 Petr Cech 2 Branislav Ivanovic 3 Ashley Cole 5 Michael Essien 7 Ramires 8 Frank Lampard 10 Yossi Benayoun** 11 Didier Drogba 12 Mikel 15 Florent Malouda 17 Jose Bosingwa* 18 Yury Zhirkov 19 Paulo Ferreira 21 Salomon Kalou 22 Ross Turnbull 23 Daniel Sturridge 26 John Terry 33 Alex 38 Patrick van Aanholt 39 Nicolas Anelka 40 Henrique Hilario 43 Jeffrey Bruma 44 Gael Kakuta 45 Fabio Borini*** 46 Josh McEachran *We should give him a chance. He's come back from a long-term injury and should be given a full season to prove himself. **Not the biggest fan of Benayoun's signing, but he too, deserves 1 full season ***His unwillingness to sign a new deal worries me, though if he does sign an extension, I wouldn't mind.
  10. We've always been awful away from home, even last season we weren't that great, but we did have home dominance.. Last 6 away: L L D D L L Last 6 home: W W L D W D We have to start taking 3 points at home!
  11. I refuse to accept we'll lose to a team managed by Roy Keane.
  12. Now we're out the race, we might nick a win.
  13. I actually think Carlo can turn the club into a dominant force next season. If he's given the funds and a say in the transfer dealings.. His tactics work, when he's got the right players, and spare players. There is a reason we were dominating this early season, Carlo was doing something right. The problem is, even when things were down, he kept doing them. It's wrong of him, but if we get in new players I think he can make those tactics work again. I agree, Drogba should not be here next season, nor should Anelka. Terry can have a career like Maldini, he's playing his heart out these days and it does help. We're being let down upfront not at the back.
  14. Agreed about him being over-played, most definitely. To be honest that also brings me to the point of why he's still being played, I said it when the malaria was in him, and I'm still saying it. For this, Carlo is to blame. We had strikers to fill the void. About the Maldini thing, he did ask him, when he came. However Maldini rejected at the time, saying he wanted to get out of football for a while. Who knows if he's changed his mind.
  15. Everything underlined I agree with. Squad was thin coming in, I don't know who thought we'd have an injury free season, but they clearly don't know how it all works. No-one's saying Carlo's blameless. But he's at fault less than the person who organises transfers.
  16. You're a legend for saying this. I still think we should stick with beyond the summer with Carlo, if he gets his transfers! If not then he might as well resign.
  17. Haha exactly. Though imagine if we'd had them both, but there's no point to this imagination. With each loss, comes a higher chance of more signing I think.
  18. Carrick was a good player. He's been ruined by sitting on the bench for so long.
  19. Of course, the problem is though, the transfer market is so heavily inflated that players like Aguero (worth no more than £25million) instantly double in price (almost).
