  1. Fact is, we gave Sinclair his chances when he went on his loan spells. Until Swansea, he never really took his chances or made real impacts at the clubs he went to. He obviously didn't impress when he came back to us either, so I think it's unfair on that one. Some players are just better off in the Championship. With Carlton Cole, even Ray Wilkins said he was lazy. He said Carlton didn't make the most of his chances, and could've been a great player if he had. Look at him now, he's 28 (?) and still very inconsistent at West Ham, doesn't take our chances most the time. Stoch, reportedly, wanted first team action. We could not guarantee this so his transfer was fair enough, afaik, he's a regular at Fenerbahche now. Agree about Cork though.
  2. Indeed. He'll be playing with his superior, Frank Lampard
  3. Carlo discussing 'pressing' tactics http://www.chelseafc...2302771,00.html
  4. We're definitely out of it. Let's not kid ourselves. The only thing Fergie is worried about now is if it's United or Arsenal who end up lifting the trophy. He knows, we're one of the only sides that can really cost him number 19 this season.
  5. Fantasy football. Does this mean he in fact, would like it? O.o
  6. LOL where did talk of Lampard leaving come from?!
  7. Really hope his first goal comes versus United, we could certainly use it..
  8. Smalling has been very good for United recently. Not like that thug Johnny Evans, who's only way to stop Drogba is by kicking him in the chest
  9. We should only sell him for minimum £15milion. We'd make a loss, but at least we'd keep it as minimal as possible.
  10. Don't worry, mods would merge them anyway
  11. Dude, there's is already a Zhirkov thread. http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/9032-yury-zhirkov/
  12. to Ronaldo's credit, he has cut that habit out in La Liga this season. Nani on the other hand..
  13. That's what I'm nervous about. While there's no denying Ramires's quality, I'm not sure he's defensive enough to handle Nani. That's why I'd make sure both Mikel and Essien play to deal with that width threat
  14. Tuesday really was a good day for Ivanovic! It was his 27th birthday, he enjoyed a comfortable victory & it marked his 100th appearance for us!
  15. Me neither, but when you've got Nani bombing down the right and Rooney linking up with Berbatov it helps to overcrowd the midfield. Cut off the supply instead of the target.
  16. For United Čech // Ivanović - Luiz - Terry - Cole \\ Mikel - Essien \\ Ramires - Lampard - Malouda // Torres
  17. Welcome! Doesn't matter that you haven't been to the Bridge yet, good to hear you watch every match though
  18. Diego Maradona is probably still snorting. Then again, his son-in-law is likely to listen to him so..
  19. Oh TalkSport. Turning into Goal.com now! Malouda's already said his next destination is Brazil
  20. read this in the Metro, was hilarious! The cheek of the boy!
  21. Welcome You were there at the 4-4 game? Lucky fella!
  22. It'll also be important to remember, one season on, means one year on. Their performances will start to be on the decline, so we have to start preparing their replacements.
  23. Wish I could agree, but lack of consistency in the league this season has meant we've literally screwed up every window we've ever had on closing in on a good finish. For example, we play our game in hand vs United and have a chance to go 1pt clear, and 2 off City. I just can't see us picking up enough points to solidify 4th and get a cheeky look in at 3rd, we're simply too inconsistent.
