  1. Sorry, I thought this was the spontaneous thread
  2. Talking from an unbias point of view, Lampard is the only man who actually deserves to be captain. Rio's had his missed drugs test ban, Gerrard's punched more people than he's scored goals, Ashley Cole's shot a man and Terry slept with a team-mate's ex. Lampard has a clean history. Should be given the chance to lead. Not doubting Terry though, he's a natural leader amongst players, but that doesn't mean Lampard isn't.
  3. Every time I go to the Bridge the MH Stand is always singing their hearts out for the full 90minuts! Heck by the second half most are pissed anyway
  4. Wish he'd come back as an assistant coach already. He knows Italian, he commands respect and he loves the club.. Kind of reminds me of some other coach we used to have
  5. Hahaha that's what I was remembering as I posted it, but looking back on his career and looking at him now too.. It's very similar. A good talent that's had his injuries cost him really.
  6. Your team did me a massive favour! Them beating Madmax gave me promotion :champions:
  7. As most people on here know, I have vouched for Joe Cole being a great footballer for a while. After he left, he was slated and I did my best to defend him, for what he did for the club but lately I'm starting to wonder if I was right. Despite Joey getting our vote as Player of the Year in 2008, I don't seem to recall him having a full, consistent season in a blue shirt. This is coming across even more now that he's in red, where we hardly see him play for Liverpool. Despite having, arguably, one of the best man-managers in football backing him, Joe has still failed to show any qualities that had me boasting how great he was. He certainly had his moments of brilliance. Goals versus Sweden (for England), Manchester United & Norwich were all spectacular and skilful, but he wasn't the greatest technical player was he? So I put the question to you forum. Impartially, forgetting where he is now, is Joe Cole a world-class player or not?
  8. They're still 4pts clear with a game in hand. Don't want to make things too easy for themselves now
  9. Talk about an exciting day in Serie A. AC Milan drew 1-1 with Bari, where Ibrahimovic was sent off. Cassano saved them embarrassment equalising in the 88th minute. Roma beat Lazio 2-0 but Lazio had Ledesma & Radu sent off consecutively! Happy Fiorentina won today, their safety is all-but secure
  10. Yeah saw this yesterday. He should point Aguero our way
  11. I'm willing to bet when Benayoun is fit again, Torres will urge Carlo to play him. Since player-power is big in the Chelsea camp, I'm sure Carlo will appease him.
  12. From a first-timer I recommend everyone sign up and play this! It only take 10minutes a day to play, you just have to decide tactics, train players and minor things like that. It's great fun, the banter is priceless and it's not hard to pick up at all If you enjoy Football Manager, you'll definitely enjoy this! :champions:
  13. Why would you do this?! :bs_spam:
  14. Where's that member who thought we represent the Chelsea board? He'd go berserk over this thread, will think we're designing the real kits
  15. A good follow up article by the Daily Mail backing the call!
  16. Won't happen. The media won't allow it. Not after the sh*t that went down at the World Cup.
  17. I do haha, but that doesn't mean I'm going to start an unrealistic thread on him
  18. I bet's on a Lionel Messi Zlatan Ibrahimovic one
  19. Interesting thread/opinion. After Torres & Luiz however, I am against these big money moves now. I'm convinced (& to an extent concerned) with these 2 signings totalling up to £75million, that our summer transfer budget spent. Perhaps there is room for one more player but it won't be for the £30million-ers like Lukaku & Aguero. It really depends on who's the manager, come August. If Carlo is still there and he persists with 4-4-2, then maybe Lukaku. Lukaku can be a player who plays with his back-to-goal and feeding balls from Cech, for Torres to pounce on. However, we are not a long-ball team. Lukaku would be just like Drogba, the big powerful striker who will take the ball into the box, then either looks to shoot or play Torres is in. Which Drogba has been great at. If a new manager comes in and wants 4-4-3 then maybe Sanchéz is a better option as we could do with a right-winger. This will allow a future to still be available for Sturridge on the left-wing or playing him central with Torres drifting wide (though with Sturridge's pace, he's better off on the wing). Then again, we do have a feller named, Milan Lalkovic who looks to be a promising winger. If only we still had Quaresma, or even Stoch.
  20. Will be an icon of this era in Chelsea FC history. Along with the likes of Terry, Lampard & Cech, Drogba will go down as a legend who was instrumental in back-to-back championships and success. While he frustrates us, on the scale of Kalou , at times, he will always be one of the elite.
