  1. I just don't see the logic in making such things public. It just gets the media circus excited, for them to start implying (strongly) that Carlo is definitely gone at the end of the season. As if we didn't get enough negative publicity!
  2. Another thing to point out, if Capello was upset about the way the captaincy was passed around in Copenhagen, surely it was up to him not to keep taking off the captains?
  3. Well Brendan Rogers is still regarded highly at the club, maybe we're just doing him a favour
  4. I thought he'd hit it wide first The resemblance to Kaká (appearance wise) is amazing :| - Great strike though!
  5. Right now that I'm over this, I've got to say.. Capello is a class A, twat. As if Terry hasn't had enough scrutiny over the last year, this will completely start that again! Just as the boo-boys have settled down and gotten over the whole Bridge fiasco, Capello does this and has the whole country gunning after him again. It's an awful decision to be honest, in reality (as a neutral) I'd be against this, not because of Terry (who's the true) captain, but because Capello already took it off him. This move will not be accepted anywhere - except within the Chelsea community - and for that Capello is an idiot. This would've all been avoided if he'd never stripped him off the captaincy - But the fact he has, means he should stick with that decision (for the sake of national unity).
  6. This is so unbelievably disrespectful by Gourlay it's ridiculous. Whether you're a fan of Ancelotti or not, this is the kind of thing that should wait until the end of the season, not bang in the middle! Carlo does not deserve to be publicly told his job is in doubt, that's a private issue between the Club & Ancelotti. We're lucky he's such a composed man, any other would've walked out based on that.
  7. There's only one England captain, only one England captain!
  8. I love all the abuse the Rio-ist are throwing at Terry & Crapello right now! Daily Mail especially
  9. JOHN TERRY REINSTATED AS PERMANENT ENGLAND CAPTAIN!!
  10. Mourinho's certainly played his part by trusting him. Credit to Benzema too for making sure he fought for his place, with Adebayor's arrival.
  11. El Derbi madrileño (Madrid derby) in 10minutes
  12. Hmm.. Pastore looks sharp for Palermo tonight vs Milan. Still don't see the hype yet, but I see the potential.
  13. Yeah, agree with everything here.
  14. That ^ But it's also, well, obvious. When you look at our bench (when it's weak) we'd rather take Sala than Borini. There's no other explanation behind that. In 09, Carlo went on record stating his admiration for Borini, then suddenly everything changed and he was being "frozen out" (his words, not mine). Even when Nando wasn't here, yes I did. So did everyone else, just like we expect Josh McEachran to play before Mikel, Essien, Ramires & Lampard. Borini's agent has also said, Chelsea won't open negotiations. If they really did want him, they would've started contract talks by now (his deal expires in the summer). We sorted out Kakuta's, so why haven't we even bothered to even begin Borini's?
  15. It's pretty obvious. Ancelotti might, but the "board" doesn't.. Remember, Carlo likes him but can't play him because he's been told not to.
  16. Ridiculous. He scores everywhere he goes and we STILL don't want him.
  17. Despite what other fans & media say, we must keep supporting him right until the end of next season & beyond.. We shouldn't label him a flop till he's had at least 2 full season
  18. Kind of obvious though isn't it, that advice. Torres will come good. I can't say when, only he'll know - when he feels comfortable. People forget the drastic change he's actually made, turning his back on fans who loved him & made him an icon, can't be easy. He knows he's forever in the spotlight now, not even talking about the fee, talking about psychologically his own need to prove his move was right. Hopefully this summer, he'll gel with the team-mates properly. He'll take part in pre-season and then start to feel like a Chelsea player.
  19. Yeah I get what you mean, however, Luiz is still quite inexperienced. He could've easily been sent off versus United & he nearly cost us at Fulham, he will of course learn to control his tackling as his career develops. However, for this match, we should play an experienced back line. City is a team which has been causing us problems for the past 2 seasons now, communication between defenders & goal keeper is vital. Yaya Toure, Tevez, Silva & Dzeko are very slippery players and they will need to be watch properly and our defenders can't over commit or they risk conceding. I love Luiz as much as they next guy! He's a fantastic defender, who's attacking abilities are amazing! However, his inexperience shows, he could have cost us 2 matches with silly fouls (again, not doubting him at all here). Ivanovic - Alex - Terry - Cole is a safe bet imo, though I wouldn't complain if Luiz started instead. [moving on] Who do you guys think should partner Torres? Personally I think Anelka should. They've shown good understanding amongst themselves, Anelka is a very selfless player who'll pass to someone else if they have a better chance. It's a shame because Anelka is most likely to make way for Drogba (if he's called upon), but he's still a better partner than Drogba would be.
  20. Too Clean to Be True Seems the reason Piazon's negotiations broke down with Juventus was because his wage demands were too high. They said we'll be paying the kid €1million/year. For an 18-year old
