There's always one..

As will I.. If he's innocent.

Arsenal would be nice, that way, home or away, I could go!
-
Words hurt, it's naive to think otherwise. Especially the context of that word.

Careful, you'll get scrutinized for such a view

What if Terry called him a ni**er? Then would it be a step too far?
-
A fully fit squad! The return of Torres, Ashley & even Bosingwa too!

While you do have a point about holding the club to ransom, do you really think they don't have a passion for the club and fans? Remember what Terry did for Steve when he came over here? Giving him the signed boots? Is that really someone who doesn't care about the fans or the club? I think you're very right about the greed of players and the emergence of Football PLC. But you can't say they're totally passionless. -
For sure! There's no way they can be unequal in these cases. If anything the Evra-Suarez one must be more clear, looking at Evra's reaction (when it happened) alone tells us a thousand words of what could've been said. The Terry one only comes from an interpreted video, which is still unclear. That's true. Perhaps a life-long ban is a lot, in hindsight. A lengthy ban though, must be held. That's a good point too. Football is a very, very, harsh environment. But a homosexual person only needs to take one look at how race is targeted in the game sometimes & it's no wonder they don't feel comfortable. Too true. The FA are never impartial. A separate committee, independent of the FA & PFA must be set up for cases like this.

Imo, your examples are too diverse. I simply point out the hidden life of racism in the game, that needs to be dealt with in an example-standard. Though your first example, remember how homophobia almost ruined Le Saux's career? There's some food for thought there.

Very true, that in itself is a scary picture. Relates to Barton's quote.. "Football is a gentleman's game played by thugs" (pretty ironic considering who said it.) I believe in 2nd chances and all, but racism is a real problem in football, amongst supporters & players alike. Actions need to speak louder than words. Having the "say no" campaign is all well and good, but actions have to be seen. Both Suarez & Terry (if proven guilty) must receive equal punishments. Nope. That's a completely different situation, keep it in context.

now we know what you got up to as a youngster ey? Haha -
I know this may sounds a bit, like I'm not standing my our players. But if he is found guilty, and I don't believe Anton Ferdinand is trying to purposely take out John Terry because of a person vendetta, then I would expect he gets kicked out the game. It may sound incredibly harsh, but racism has been a hidden issue in football for a long time. Though I hate to say it, and I know he may not have meant it in a racist way, they should use this case to set the standard & follow through with Luis Suarez. Say No To Racism.

& on another note.. Did we not all cry when John Terry & Anelka missed their penalties in Moscow? Were we not all furious to the bone when Ovrebo screwed us out of another final? Did we not celebrate as much we could when it was announced we signed world-class Fernando Torres? Did we not all rejoice when after 50 years, Lampard won us our first Premier League title? To turn around, after all those emotions, and say we prefer to have been the Pre-Roman Chelsea, it's unthinkable to me. I'm glad we went through all these emotions, and I'm glad we have an owner who's actually a Chelsea fan & not a typical rich owner a la Gillette & Hicks. With Abramovich you're guaranteed not to get screwed. You know he won't take out a loan against the club & you know he want football success over everything. And of course I miss cheap ticket prices! I'd be a fool not to. I still go to a few games a season, I'm grateful just to do that, because I'm not even earning. But would I want to throw all the potential success away because I can't go week-in-week-out? No. That doesn't make me a glory hunter, because I go through the same passions watching the games with my Chelsea supporting friends. -
We will get the atmosphere back. Look at Manchester United. Their stadium is massive, and I'm sure they get their share of foreign fans who can't sign or anything, but they still hold an incredible atmosphere because majority of fans, "real fans" can still be there. A new stadium will show a reduction in ticket prices, it makes sense & it's already been said. We'd be in more trouble if a breakaway club started up, we'd have more heartbreak, more disastrous owners & no doubt, huge debt.

Exactly. Whether Roman had come or not, the climate would've still been the same. In fact, had it not been us Roman bought it would've been Liverpool or Tottenham. We'd have probably been a team like Wigan, barely trying to stay afloat under a crumbling debt & wage-bill. We still have so called "real fans" (a term that makes me sick btw). Had Roman not come, I guarantee we'd be be crying out for our own oligarch. -

How were the Chelsea representatives? In particular, Loftus-Cheek. -
I don't think it's whining. He's saying it how it is, the referee standards weren't top-notch. It's not his fault, every journo asks him about it!
-
Buck and/or Gourlay must resign now..
-
Radio commentary were highly critical last night. That's what I was basing it on tbh.
-
Chelsea want to use their own money though. As in, sell Stamford Bridge and use that money to pay for a new stadium.. Obviously with a bit more added on. The thing with a new proposal is, you have to give CPO like a month or something to look at it before conducting a vote. This will drag on all season, I bet you. On a another note, Buck will be speaking to SSN within the hour.

Turnbull was awful all game, judging from commentary. Gave no confidence to the defenders, his kicks were poor, his decision making to come out and get balls were poor. A very poor performance all over, from what I heard.
