Rebuilding of Chelsea and players who you want out or in?
LDN Blue replied to daNcfc's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
They denied it within hours of that story going up Could still fetch around £10million for him. -
Hahaha that needed the dramatic gopher music and it would've been so much more hilarious
-
LMAO!
-
He looks chuffed, cheers my mood up slightly

I call bluff. He's on the verge of something brilliant with the German NT, a team that's young & full of immense potential. No way do I see him walking away from that just yet.

To me, it depends on who comes on in. Now Lampard has been poor, but I think he'd have been inclined to stay more quiet and accepting if there was someone on the pitch doing a better role than him. Therefore I would very much keep him around and make him understand he's a squad player, and make him understand that better players are ahead of him. Meireles doesn't really provide a great argument as such. I'd keep Cole, but again it depends on the manager, if they play Bertrand more and Cole understands/accepts this then it's fine. Cole, in my eyes, has always been very quiet and nice to managers of past. Including Scolari. Who knows what went down with André and himself, but the lad deserves a second chance because he's still playing very well. I would not keep around: Hilario, Drogba, Torres, Kalou, Ferreira, Turnbull & if Mikel gets an offer then him. -
Well if those Roman 'riot act' 'massive changes' story is true, he [Moyes] may not have to deal with such antics. While francozola is right that the club probably wouldn't consider him, he's still a good choice.

Finally, some good news from Chelsea. He deserves it :cfc:

You're right. It's like Lampard. We're grateful and full of respect for everything he's given to the club, truly! But there's a point where you say "are you.. Are you actually serious?" We've heard person beyond person say he's actually quite knowledgeable in the game so he's not stupid. He knows exactly what it's cost the club to hire & fire managers while he's been in charge. He knows our players are truly past their best & he knows he made the cardinal sin when he let Mourinho leave this club. It's about time he develops patience because we're losing ours.
-
Because I believe he'll cave to the whole "Luiz can't defend" train. I hope I'm wrong though!
-
Optimistic for tomorrow, give 'em hell lads!
-
Good to see you on here again, shame under it's such circumstances. -- Give 'em hell Robbie!

There's some actually valid points on this thread, and it's actually swayed me from saying Mourinho as a name to return. I'd be happy if it happened, but I'm not calling for it because it's history now and let it stay there. P.s. We Hate Souse, you're on fire in this thread, keep going!

I'm still sad/angry. This isn't the club I grew up watching. Chelsea, even before Abramovich, have a long history of making stupid decisions. I stand by what I said on twitter, that I had equally ill-tempered feelings as I had the day I woke up and saw the breaking new "José Mourinho has left Chelsea Football Club." I don't even care that he hadn't got the results we wanted, everyone knows the problems at Chelsea. From the hierarchy of executive suits - who think they know about football - to our infamous old guard who've developed such a say in the club's political affairs that progression is virtually impossible. Every season we lose a manager, is a season I love a slight bit of passion for this club. I was absolutely gutted when Hiddink left us, I was very upset/proud of what he'd achieved and that guard of honour after the FA Cup final epitomised the effect he'd had on the club. I was optimistic with Ancelotti but that quickly wore off. A gentleman of football, the sport needs more characters like him, but not at this club where we needed someone to grab the old school attitude of this squad by the throat. In walks André. Delighted. Not just because of what he's achieved at Porto. He represented a change in ideology in our stupid board, a change that for once they weren't going with established, that they were prepared to start a while of transition with the final years of that paying dividends. Yesterday was an awful today. The stuff I was reading for the Daily Mail (Don't start..) was, literally, sad. From reading how much time he spent at Cobham, to reading how he learnt of his departure. 8 managers in 9 years. I repeat, 8 managers in 9 years. Ferguson, Wenger & Pardew all know what's wrong at this club. Scolari knows, Ancelotti knows, Hiddink probably knows too! I read Roman 'read the riot act' to the players, but I'm yet to see if that's true. If it is, I fully expect to hear we're going to cease contract renewal talks with Kalou, Drogba, Malouda and anyone else's who's contract is up this season. We're the club who made bold moves like make Gullit a player-manager & followed up with.. Making Vialli a player-manager too! That was how the club showed respect to the fans, they would take a club hero and take a risk. With both those guys we actually had more good moments than not. We went from that to sacking fellow heroes like Clarke & Wilkins.. Guys who the dressing room respected, but we let go because of stupidity from the board. They won't respect Di Matteo, they won't respect Zola (when/if he comes back) and they won't respect any manager who takes over next season. [/Rant]

Glasgow Rangers to go into administartion
LDN Blue replied to Changingman_2000's topic in Football Chat
Portsmouth and co. were one thing, but a club with the history of Rangers is simply shocking. -
Predictable, slightly. I heard Dons liked this partnership, so hopefully they do well
-
I fear Di Matteo will drop him.
-
I think that Balotelli account is a parody, hilarious regardless
-
The thing you know about Mata is, he'll still play with him trying to do everything he can for the squad. He's a player who enjoys his football, enjoys fan interaction and just enjoys being at this club. Even if we're going through a bad spell now, he still seems very committed and he's been an absolute gem this season. I hope he's not demotivated, Di Matteo will need him now more than ever! I hope in June we sign at least one person to reduce the burden upon Juan.

Oh my god. Are we seriously calling fans 'plastic' because Lampard's disrespected the management this season? Call a dog a dog. Lampard is a legend prior to this season, but the fact is, he's acted like a c'nt. To deny so, is putting the man above the club. I respect Lampard, I won't forget the great years he's given us.. But he absolutely deserves to be slated this season. We're not 'plastic', we're 'realistic'.
-
Are you forgetting who Rafa Benitez is? He's the man who tried to replace Xabi Alonso with Gareth Barry. David Moyes' man management is fantastic, he's very good at getting the best out of players because he won't take sh't from anyone. What he's done with Everton, a side with the smallest squad in he league, is unbelievable! He even got them CL qualification in 2005. He needs to be given his chance in the big leagues because he has the ability to lead a top side. Why not gamble? Moyes will be much cheaper too and he knows the league inside-out.

I keep reading it, I keep getting more angry. Unbelievable how they literally left him out to dry.

This article makes me want to cry.
