  1. Amazing goal, great goal, match winning goal!
  2. Then I believe you're blind to his progress. Yeah he's selfish, that's nothing new, but he has improved a lot from how bad he used to be. He does look up but to be honest his passing isn't even that great as it is at the moment, so even when he does try the cut back it doesn't always come off, but he does attempt it. Not even going to comment on his crossing because he's effective at playing a powerful ball across the face of the goal but often there's no-one on the back post to slot home.
  3. Oh my word, what a goal from Maxi Lopez! Juventus 1-2 Milan. (3-3 aggregate)
  4. How's Matic doing at Benfica? I remember we gave him as part of the Luiz deal, has he settled well?
  5. "Lionel Messi is 24 years old and he already has 232 official goals for Barcelona. Cesar was 35 when he scored his 232nd goal."
  6. What record won't Messi break for Barca? Incredible footballer!
  7. I want Juve to progress, Conte deserves a trophy this season for his transformation of this squad.
  8. I call bull. The Krul part is a give-away.
  9. They're inexperienced because they're not given their chance on the bench. Only takes an injury to main keeper and them impressing on their chances to kick start - what could be - a successive career. Can only know if you have the cojones to gamble.
  10. More than I would Hilario? Yes. He's not as bad as people state out, but he doesn't warrant a contract extension when we've got 2 young keepers who've got a ton of experience and just could easily step up. Who knows about Turnbull's future too, he might still be here next season.
  11. Is everyone simply forgetting this is his first professionally season in the Chelsea first team? That's he's not actually a winger so he's got the last-man mentality? That his direct approach to goal has actually got him 11-important goals this season? Give the lad a break. Even Drogba was/is selfish at the best of times.. Even more so when he first came and struggled.
  12. Considering Billy Clifford signed a 4-year contract this year I'm not surprised at the outcome. I'd even say this is "ideal" for Chelsea. Mellis didn't look like he'd break through, in the role he plays, so this doesn't really come as a shock (even with WHS telling us prior to today).
  13. Don't agree with this. Jamal Blackman & Sam Walker are more than capable of being back up goal keepers and they can alternate if there's a reserve game clash. They wouldn't even need to be paid the wages Hilario probably gets paid for either and if Hilario was released we'd have a space for another international player.
  14. Curious to see how Neymar will handle the spotlight not being on him so much, but Messi. Villa & Ronaldinho were forced to make way for Messi, so it's curious to see if these 2 will be able to settle in the same squad. Also wonder how Guardiola will handle Neymar's ego.
  15. Good news if true, thought he'd be less inclined now that André's gone, we'll see in June.
  16. I love it, if I'm honest. Yea it's really frustrating at the best of times, but the thing is, most the time he's effective. He's not as selfish as he used to be, someone mentioned he's as selfish at Cristiano in his first season. We are forgetting that this is Danny's first professional season in the Chelsea first squad, so you can't really blame the kid for getting his head down and going for himself. He's got 11 goals (if I recall properly) and most of those have been because he's been selfish. At a time where Torres isn't on form, Drogba isn't firing on all cylinders it's Sturridge's prerogative to be selfish. Let's not forget, he's not a natural winger. It's not in his mantra (at the moment) to look for the cross and it's something he's yet to perfect. He always plays with his head up as it is, and he does try to give a pass, but his ability in short passes isn't quite up there yet tbh. Patience is most definitely the key with Sturridge. I don't believe he warrants being dropped either because he's the most effective player in the squad, I don't buy for a second that he's 'not a team player' because he is. He has the ability to beat the full backs by running at the them, using skill and trickery to get past. He's working on that final ball and that final decision. Like someone said, if Danny's our most immediate problem at the moment then things are quite good at the moment. I personally have no concern about Sturridge's attitude because it's something this team needs.
  17. André said they would be taking the one-year extension option on his contract. Hopefully they're doing a United-Berba and will only do that to command a transfer fee!
  18. No Roman does have the money, but we have European rules to abide by, in the name of FFP. I wouldn't sign Sneijder in any case, it's too late for him, he'd be a Deco, have a good season or 2 then fall off. At max, if we reach 4th this is, we'll sign 1 marquee player and some not so.
  19. That's about.. £85-100million all together? No chance.
  20. Great news! The response from the football community has been terrific.
  21. LMAO. My bad, first hoping should *expecting
  22. Best I'm expect is a draw, but hoping for a pleasant surprise. This game is crucial for City, as Badboy said they'll throw the kitchen sink at us, hopefully we stay disciplined enough to keep tight defensively and counter effectively. Kompany will still be out for this game, so they are exploitable at the back.
