Strange times, Neymar gone to Saudi Arabia out of the blue. I wonder what is coming for PSG - they supposedly backed off from freezing Mbappe, Real backed off from buying him so he stays, but I doubt he will be amused with Neymar's departure. Guess we will see some more hot mess coming from them soon.

Yeah, fortunately Fofana taught people responsible a valuable lesson. Oh wait

WTF Kepa. He swallowed being trashed by everyone for a long time, claimed he isn't going anywhere, worked hard, tried to get himself together, acted professional and… bailed out before one had time to blink and now became los blanco in his heart before even setting foot on the pitch. Perhaps reasonable for him, but may indicate we are still not all rosy behind the scenes, as I doubt he feared Sanchez displacing him much…

So, getting United 3 points costs the ref being sidelined for one game. PGMOL sending serious message here 😂
-
Watch Lille give them their own medicine and squeeze them for 50, I hope 😂

Brighton will get a, perhaps large (30%?), chunk of money from this transaction

Re Kepa it's even more ironic, than with rest of our "deadwood" that the Keeper who, despite his hard work, was total liability in our goal for most of the time will do just fine in Madrid lol. Good for him and it opens some possibilities for us, but for now it looks like we have no GK. I doubted the idea of Sanchez as no1 from the start, but after yesterday I'd say he is no improvement over Kepa in terms of inspiring confidence so far. Maignan refused us, Slonina is nowhere ready, even if he could be recalled, so it pretty much leaves targets like Mamardashvili or Bono, that are hardly getting the spot from the get go. Stellar GK was part of our squad since most of "newer" history, hard to imagine a switch to a competition of decent but not extraordinary goalies now

Well, easy if it's only that. Here in the east it's hard not to point that the "hooligan" groups are often pretty much drug cartels and other kind of organized crime, with football being just an addition to have a little fight from time to time, holding the clubs and sometimes cities hostage to their influence.

Conspiracy theory, but makes you wonder whether it was some kind of set up as there was talk of "highest offer" quite some time before the bid. Pool did nothing except troll us dirty and disappear in span of three days.
-
"Controversial" take, but I also feel like there's need to defend two players getting most shit - Gallagher clearly lacks skill, but at least he's giving 110%. In recent history, we had a lot of far more expensive players lacking skill, period. That's improvement. But there's time and place to use him and certainly that's not starting the game vs Pool. Sterling was frustrating to watch at first glance, but actually did a lot of good work, yet not spectacular as getting a goal. Very much Werner-like.
-
Positive enough - Pool wasn't up to the task and there are glaring issues in our team, but this draw, and worth noting, comeback and not losing the lead, is something that would be undoable when things went downhill last season. Hopefully it gives guys and Poch some confidence boost, as it will be needed. Clearly there is a lot of pain on the horizon, but there's some light at the end of the tunnel this time at least.

Every sane person would implement this idea after Cucu purchase, but let's not get fooled, with hopeless affection of our owners towards Brighton, we will see more of this shit as soon as winter again 🤦♂️

Quite surprised we got away with it, especially with Taylor

Volleyball division on

Not annoyed with missing chances, half of those players are probably quite intimidated playing in such team against such team in such stadium, they will get it going right hopefully

Scenes 😂

Lack of chemnistry aside, coming back to "the usual" kind of mentality and play from last season is the worst thing that can happen today and it's pretty much happening

Interesting move, doubt delaying the game is improving the situation in this case 👀

Need to become a football player or some social media celebrity I guess. Crazy prices, especially given a lot of world's economy isn't actually booming and the cost-of-life crisis is real in pretty much all of "western" world. Wonder when we will see first big name club go under, Barcelona was quite close recently. Just imagine Saudis deciding PSG or City is no longer needed for them.
-
Yeah, about the time to "explore the market" lol

Real move could probably be refreshing for him and for us, but what are we gonna do if it happens? Rely on Sanchez and Betinelli for half of season, call Maignan again or, in typical Chelsea manner under new ownership, prepare 85 million + bonuses bid for Steele?
-
As life as Chelsea fan teaches, wait until it's actually done and preferably official, only then proceed to take a piss 😂 I wonder what is up with Adams - I see people don't fancy him, but dropping him after, supposedly, passing medical doesn't put us in good light. And it's not like players have zero hesitation coming here right now in the first place, so it doesn't sound like wisest of moves.

Meanwhile two more windows and 150m transfers will not be shocking and first 200 ones will come. Hope we can put our resources and those numerous "talented" players acquired to really make our academy and Strasbourg backbone of first team, instead of disposing those players for little to no profit and then race for mediocre fellas from Leeds or Brighton for fees that could buy you an entire top-flight football club few years ago.

I wonder whether there is some hard, upper limit or the board is getting just as carried away as fans and we will end up paying like 120+ million for a player we considered not worth 80. Potential yeah sure, but likes of Werner were also looking very good. Meanwhile astronomical pricetags rarely help young players to step up their game tbh.
