  1. Plus if its 100m euros, then even better. Apparently the last 10m euros are on PL/CL champions based. So perfect.
  2. This thread is LOOOOONNNNGGGG overdue. Thank you MARINA 💙
  3. Totally agree about Kante, but dont think we have an option. Jorginho in the team makes us weaker, Kova-Kante pivot has its issues (though i still think it will be one of FL's go to moves). Kante as a sitting DM might hurt us offensively a bit, but also give some semblance of defensive cover to what has become a VERY top heavy team. I have no doubt about it that atleast for the coming season, we are going to be looking to just outscoring teams.
  4. Yup that pivot will have its issues, but it will still be our best option at times. But I have no doubt the 4-3-3 you posted might be the most used XI of our next season (as of this moment). Given how the squad is, you can understand why there were rumors that we would be listening to offers for Kante. If we can swap kante for Rice, would be the best thing for us as getting that sitting DM is necessary and the next thing in this team's evolution
  5. Kante is our best bet for a DM next season (if things stay exactly as they are as of this moment). I think Kai and ziyech will be switched with ziyech playing cnetrally and Kai on the wings in attack. Which leaves us with either mount or Kova in a 4-3-3 (no 8s/10s) or 4-2-3-1 with Kova and kante playing the double pivot. Dont think @MoroccanBlue's team was very off from what we will be playing next season.
  6. There is a difference between generational talent and "World beater". He is NOT a world beater at this moment. He is still a brilliant player but young (very young), will have his odd poor games. Just look at Felix for an example. But he will be as good if not better than eden was for us in terms of quality.
  7. Anyone who has watched him can attest that he is a generational talent. Very much like Felix was.
  8. This is the best thing I have seen in a long time. Get in. So hyped, last time itna hyped eden ke liye tha.
  9. Chilwell could be out for 6 weeks more and without any pre-season. That would mean alonso will start the first 6-7 games at least. People still think Alonso should be our no.2??? Lol Need to buy reguilon and have good cover. Otherwise more of the same this season.
  10. Like I said, we can surely get a loan for him or a 20m€ bid. We might not rate baka, but there are teams that surely do. He had 2 good/decent loans spells and was quite good with Monaco in the 1st stint too.
  11. Russia apparently has vaccines out already. US has one in the last phase, the Oxford one was in the last phase, india has one too in works. We need to look at the bigger picture. This was always going to be a long fight. Around 1.5-2 years till everyone is innoculated. In US and UK, the lockdown was given that reasoning, which was fair. If there was no lockdown, it would have run rampant. The lockdown helped put things in perspective and gave time for the world govt in increasing their medical capacity to a certain limit. But given how contagious the virus is, I feel NZ and Melbourne have got it perfectly. If you don't impose a lockdown, very early on, it will run rampant, cost lives and then you will be forced to. They have the opportunity to be a step or 2 ahead of the virus which UK, Europe, US and most of the world did not. For us, it had already spread after which herd immunity was always going to be the final result. It's not so with NZ. Imo, a lockdown in every country with a single case is inevitable - either early on to test the very minute population that was at a risk of getting infected from the contagious people in the 2 week window, or later on, when your hospitals will be overrun and you will be forced to. I would rather take the first approach. "Not to mention although cases are rising here, hospital admissions and deaths are still trending downwards." We don't know the reasoning behind this. Maybe it's just that more testing is being done, hence more number of cases are coming out, which is still fewer than the early "true infections", when literally the number of hospitalizations were taken as number of cases. Or maybe the virus strain is getting weaker. We dont know. But for a country like NZ, which had no cases, it does not make any sense to take the risk and roll the dice with the virus. The risk analysis will surely point towards lockdown being a good preemptive measure given how it's gone throughout the world. I for one would not have risked it if I was running that govt. I do understand the point you are making, but these simply are not normal circumstances. My fiancee lost her mother and both her grandparents. And no amount of "anything" is going to bring them back or comfort her. I don't know if this will be the new normal, or maybe in a year or 2, we will be back to the old normal. At this point, it's moot to even try to take a guess. But what I feel is, this needs to act like a massive wake up call for the whole world. We need to be far more pre-emptive in our dealing with such threats than what we were. The only thing I do know, It's a grind and humanity has to go through it. 800k+ confirmed lives lost HAS to be used as a learning and things need to change drastically.
  12. Should they have wait for it to become 4k? How soon 4 can become 400k, just take a look at US and NY. This shows the country's govt's priorities - which should always be a life. Shut down for a couple of weeks, test everyone they might have come in contact and then re-open. NZ can do it successfully too, given their lower population density.
  13. For 20m€ (rumored asking price)? I would say play hardball and milan cave. The player is willing to take a pay cut too (50% rumored), it's a great deal for milan. I am sure baka will find a decent number of suitors for 20m€.
  14. It's as "rumored" as the bakayoko deal which has not been finalized yet too, right? Jason quoted a tweet above and a normal Google search would suffice in showing emerson is on his way out for the above mentioned fee.
  15. What? Chilwell is "Hardly an improvement" on alonso and emerson? Really? Did you watch Leicester for the first 20 games?
  16. Tbf to her, we have conned inter into paying 25m€ for emerson. That's massive given he ain't worth 2.5😂
  17. Got to call it as BS. No way will the club let an "option" happen again. We can't possibly be that naive, can we?
  18. Btw, if silva comes in (Please god). What do you think our options for CB should be for the next season? We will have 6 CBs for 4 slots - Silva Zouma Ampadu Tomori Andreas Rudiger I have listed them down in terms of my priority. Rudi should be sold. Just not good enough. Another similar season, and we will have another immovable dreg. Andreas is a weird one. You can see the technique and the talent, but the execution is poor. Probably a loan spell for him? Zouma was our best CB for the season, and should be the partner for silva. I really rate and like ampadu. I feel if given the oppurtunity, he will really shine and show his class. Would love to know what everyone else thinks? Who would be your 4 CBs for the seasoj?
  19. PSG is offloading him for the same reason we offloaded JT just a season after one in which he played 38 PL games, was one of the best CBs in the league and won us the PL too, which is moving on One person's trash is another's gold. We need a leader. Some one to control the backline. And organize shit. Clearly our first choice was Jimenez or rice. But we cant afford them with the lay over we already have this season. So if it's next season, silva is a perfect stop gap signing. Hardly costs us anything in wages or fees. And gives us exactly what we need in defence
  20. Don't think he is possible. The fee (120m€) + wages (350kpw) make it impossible for us to buy him. Specially when we already have an expensive GK on our books.
  21. I think inter board would have been well aware that Conte might not be their manager next year, so don't think the transfer was just due to Conte. Also, emerson has a lot of interests from the likes of Napoli and Juve.
  22. I think chilwell is a better all-round player. His defence is definitely way better than reguilon's. Both are the same age too. I would definitely flip alonso for reguilon and let RM have a buyback clause for a couple of years. And then flip reguilon for a profit. Think chilwell has a higher ceiling if the first half of the season is anything to go by.
  23. He is such a fucked up guy. I mean, what else can the board give you for you to stay? Lukaku, sanchez, martinez, Eriksen, hakimi, emerson ( probable), tonali (probably). And yet he keeps throwing his toys out of the pram. Conte might be one of the best tacticians in our generation, but is also probably one of the weirdest ones I have seen
