Don't think Puli was bad today. He looked lively and held up the ball up fairly well. Not much Sterling and him could have done in the first half. Basically a useless midfield in terms of creativity and they were two wingers facing a parked bus. No coincidence we looked a bit better once more attacking options came on to support.

Happy with the three. Good for Chilly. Hate that we're still so shit on corners but rely on them with how conservative we play. Conor still looks shaky and should probably be dropped. Our midfield is still the weakest link on this team. That was so soft by Mendy...Reece James didn't do him any favors but he needs to man up because that could have easily still counted.

Doesn't help that we line up like pansies and play so passive. Tactics matter too.
-
Need to start going for it. We've dropped too many points this early in the season to settle and play so passive. Drop Conor and a defender for Broja and Mount. We're so worried about teams who park the bus that we need all that coverage?
-
Three center backs along with three midfielders who have no creativity... Yeah we better score on a corner or something. Not sure what he's expecting Sterling and Pulisic to do against a parked bus.

Sell another young player and start looking for a midfielder now… Tuchel having full control over transfers is going wonderful so far.

I watched the whole season of All or Nothing and I can say Arteta did impress me. He holds players accountable but never forgets to improve the team chemistry and build confidence in his players. He's done a fantastic job developing young talents like Saka, Martinelli, Smith Rowe, etc. Odegaard who some thought might not reach his potential has looked miles better under Arteta. Even Granit Xhaka has looked half way decent lately. I can't say he's better than Tuchel at the moment but I do think TT burns a lot of bridges in the dressing room. He doesn't really look interested in building the confidence of the team, just yelling and calling them out in the media as a tactic of motivation. Just take a look at how many players have left and want to leave here. Yeah we can sit here and say let them leave if they don't want to be a blue, but eventually you have to think there's more to it.

With Pulisic I really think Tuchel is just killing his confidence. He's barely played all season and Tuchel finally runs a formation with wide attacking players but opts for Ziyech instead. Puts him on at the 70th minute as a wingback... He needs to improve big time but he's rarely ever got to play his favored attacking position on the left side with TT. He's had his moments especially when he gets a chance there. It would be nice to pickup someone like Leao or even Zaha but if we don't, let's give the kid an opportunity because it can't get much worse. Mount and Havertz seem to get all the chances even if they've been bad and everyone else has a short leash. I would like to see Puli - Broja - Sterling. At least it's two proper wingers and an actual striker. Really think Havertz could succeed playing behind a striker but with how bad our midfield is TT will just play defensive as possible.

Tuchel wanted more power over signings. He's always butt heads with upper management in his previous jobs so now he's getting what he wants with Boehly. Full power that Roman probably would never give him. So far just a lot of overpaying and not addressing our most glaring needs... Now we'll probably overpay some more and I don't think we'll improve all that much.
-
Nottingham Forest the type of team to we would probably struggle to score against. We might not even finish ahead of Man U the way things are looking..
-
I never fully blamed any certain attacking player. I didn't think Lukaku was a good signing but he definitely wasn't the only issue. How Tuchel has not addressed the midfield and realized we're so easy to play against is beyond me. He's literally a walking excuse machine since last season. I remember when TT was hired he was quoted saying he wanted to build a team no one would want to play against. That was probably true before we became the most predictable team to line up against.... Now it seems like we're building a team that doesn't want to play for him.

We made top 4 under frank with Puli-Giroud-Willian as our front three... Pretty much the same players we have now. Yes we need some improvements but should we really lack this much energy and heart because of transfers? Sometimes change is all you need and when Tuchel took over I think it was the perfect storm. Frank wasn't ready and the players responded to Tuchel. We went on a run of fantastic defensive football but now teams have figured us out. Plain and simple. That voice in the dressing room starts to fade when doubt creeps in from the players. I really feel that has happened and I'm not sure much will change. He continues to make excuses in his post game pressers yet he plays players out of position and cries about transfers and injuries after. I'm sick of him tbh. We have been poor for a VERY long time under him. The CL title has shielded him from much criticism but if things don't change he deserves to be sacked and rightfully so.
-
that starts with the manager. You can have all the skill you want but without what you just listed, it's not going to work.
-
Look at our schedule so far and how many points we have dropped. I don't want to hear about injuries and transfers..... If you're such a great manager these are games you at least get a point... You should be getting three but have straight up lost twice already. They're playing with no passion or heart. That's the sign of a dressing room who don't believe in what's going on.... Alarming to say the least.

I laugh when we keep blaming players being put out of position as the main cause of our struggles. We haven't been good for a very long time no matter who is in the lineup. The mentality is shot and there is no confidence. Tuchel deserves the bulk of the blame but we'll keep nitpicking at every single player as the problem.
-
The kid is shot of confidence. Barely gets to play then gets put out of position. You started the game in a 4-3-3, if there's a position he should it's an attacking winger but he opted for Ziyech.
-
Let's make changes and put some more players out of position?
-
I like Raum a lot. Dude is hell on wheels
-
Broja looks smooth. Next game Mason Mount will be our striker
-
Yeah I wouldn't have paid more than 30 for him. Tuchel is in charge of transfers and that's what he wanted.
-
Cucu is a fine player. Great block btw. But for 60m+ he should be taking on players more instead of just passing back. We already have Chilly for that.
-
Lol Jorginho trying to run on that fast break...
-
Cucurella for 60m+ and we barely hear of any midfielder targets all summer. Like FDJ and that's it? Been saying that's our biggest need along with some others here...
-
Those were actually some nice left footed finishes.
