K2 is looking very suspect and Fofana looks slower than he was prior to his injury. Kova and Mount look disjointed but not really surprised by that with the lack of times they've played together. I personally would bring on Broja for Auba and then look to take Dave off for Zakaria and move to a back four as they're just trying to counter us. If that doesn't work after 15 mins bring on Ziyech.

Cucu - Liked this one, but fee was more than it should've been. Slonina, Carney and Casadei - Fine with these sort of transfers but they are a bit of a crap shoot. PEA - Absolutely ridiculous signing, seriously fuming about this one. He was nonessential owing to his professionalism, age and how he last looked in the PL. Fofana - Raped on price again, but I was very impressed by his first season in the PL. However, his injury is a concern. Long term is this a see how it goes transfer. Overall, I think they club has done ok and put its money where its mouth is. However, attack is still a major issue. For instance, I would've kept Werner over having PEA.

I said this elsewhere. TB when buying the club would've evaluated the playing staff and valued it accordingly when he put his bid in. Lukaku was brought for £97m but if he valued him as a deadweight donkey like anyone with a brain, then his bid would've taken this into consideration. Thus, the cutting of deadwood was factored in during due diligence. The cutting loose of deadwood was factored into the Clearlake bid, which is why we now have the luxury of getting rid. Easier to cut such things loose if you're not the muppet who was the one bringing them in, in the first place.

I think they get measured in their boots and if they have a haircut like Fofana's then they go from the top of that rather than where his scalp is, then round up. He is probably more like 185-186cm. That said, Southern European teams are particularly bad for this. Remember Kepa was meant to be 6'2" and K2 at one point was measured at 6'5"-6'6" 😂. As for Fofana, we may be waiting here to see what happens with Kounde. Barca apprantly really struggling to get him registered now. They only have 8 days left.

No it really isn't. People are forgetting that PEA was dire in his last year at Le Arsè, so bad that they terminated his contract. This type of transfer is exactly using the kind of logic that brought us Lukaku, Higuian etc. It is absolutely awful business. Does seem crazy, his uncle told me he doesn't have the makings of a varisity Athlete due to his small hands.

Haven't they brought a number of new players to make themselves overall a bit better than relying on two players? Not seen Leeds apart from highlights, but what I have read has told me they have more of a functioning team this year. That said, we should be winning this one. Yeah, but PEA is now 33 and his legs are going. Using past stats when he was still in his prime aren't a good measure. In addition to this, he is notoriously unpredictable as to what his attitude is going to be. Lastly, at Chelsea you need to be physically rugged as we don't get jack from the refs. All of the above means I am out on PEA even on a free with a one year contract, let alone for a reasonable fee and multi-year deal. The way I see us playing this year is by physically over powering teams like we did to Spuds who are one of the more rugged teams in the league as it is. For me, I still have faith in Kai. I actually thought he played really well in the Spuds game, miss aside. For me, we will still get top 4 regardless of having a full blown finisher. Additionally, I also feel that by buying Lukaku last year, we stunted Kai as it was so I don't think we need another poor fit CF to take his space up again.
