Well it could just be that Badi got made to look bad by Disaster when he came back from a bad injury in a team that was wide open to the counter with Poch's tactics. Tbf to the Badi, he looked good when he first came in. It could just be his injury took a bit of time to recover, Poch's tactics didn't suit him and then Disaster dragged him down which wouldn't be that much of a surprise when we think about the level of that guy. That said, he will need to take his chance this time around. All we need from him for the next month or so is mistake free football. If he does that then he good for a squad position as I suspect we go for a RCB in Jan/Summer. As for this game, Soton have picked up some form. They were a ref not giving them a deserved pen away from beating the Dippers and had the better of Brighton in their last game away. Luckily they have a few suspensions and injuries but this is the exact type of game Poch last season would've slept walked us into a draw.

This is what Utd fans hated about him. That he appears most of the time like he has just rolled out of bed. Today, I actually thought he had a reasonable first half with the ball and then disappeared in the second half. For me, he should only ever be expected to play a max 45-60 mins and then only really be used when possession is key. He isn't really a player to run around and/or press much.

They love him apprantly. If they get promoted I suspect they will try and buy him.

Badi has quietly been building some form imo. Is he great, no, but in the past few games he has played he has done the basics and been solid. Of the three - Disaster, Badi and Tosin - I would most likely also choose Badi currently, although I wouldn't go mad if Tosin starts. So long as it isn't Disaster I am good. As for how this plays out, if it is Badi he needs to play well and take his chance. If he drops the ball, then that should really be the end of him and Disaster here.

Disaster up to his old tricks. Even against Noah that guy gave the ball away. Not sure why we keep playing him, even in these games, as our only way of getting rid of him is to send him to Strasborg. As for the rest of the team that I want to make comments on Jorgensen. Looks better passing out and had a really good save at his near post. However, he them weakly parried a cross into the middle of the box. At this point I think that is better than Sanchez, even if I am not expecting much more than 'above average' GK'ing from him. Sancho is being too cute. Lots of flicks and tricks but not enough running off the ball or focus on final product. Someone needs to tell him to stop some of the fancy stuff and do a few more of the basics. Annoying as he does the skill/quality. Veiga has great composure. I think if he can learn to break the lines and bit more with his running and passing he may be able to have a long term roll there. Guiu is very frustrating. He actually does a lot of things well - off the ball running, positioning, showing for the ball, by and large his first touch, decent passing. However, guy needs to take a breath when he gets the ball in front of goal. If he did that we would have a real talent imo. Hall. Great ball at the end but by and large he continues to bewilder me as to why anyone thought we should buy him. Now don't get me wrong, he isn't Disaster level. But he does look very average.

Yet another opening goal. Starting to use his power and strength to bully players, while his technique is still improving. Starting to become indispensable. Hope that the club don't decide to start playing Championship Manager and buy another CF (especially VO of all people) to block his progression. Nkunku can currently cover for him in a pinch.

Delap only becomes possible if Ipswich get relegated - not sure they will. He is either their best or second best player and staying in the league is worth £100m+ per year. Can't see them selling until he had two years left. As for CF, I am happy with Jackson. Guy keeps in improving and has shown good attitude when everyone got on his back - the pen thing last season was more on Poch not making it clear who the pen taker was. For me, CB and GK is what we need to solve. In fact, I would even limit that to GK. Sanchez is an absolute joker, who doesn't do either thing we need him to - play passes or save shots - and no, I am not taking a good save here and there whilst he let's in goals at his near post (Arse), falls over like a spastic at Anfield for their second and runs out like a crack head chasing down his dealer against Brighton at home. If Jorgensen is honestly worse than him then the guys scouting need to be sacked asap and we need to bring Petro back in Jan or play some kid from the youth team. Maybe the kid will be worse but at least we can say is is young and not some 27 year old that analytic team is expecting to Pokemon evolve at any sudden moment.

Yeah, it is something that amazes me. It shows how the media and group think can influence discourse. If thinking about things logically, if clubs/executives didn't insure for such large outlays, it would be a sackable offence in any industry. The players however that are problematic are the ones that sign big contracts and aren't good enough. It is why I always respect players like Werner who leave cash on the table to go and play.

You do realise players are insured for injury, right? https://www.gocompare.com/insurance/sports-clubs-and-players/#:~:text=to renew it."-,Think about your bonuses,be insured for £15m.

Veiga and Caicedo will play - I cannot see him not playing Caicedo unless he has had a knock or is too fatigued. Despite what this is saying, Caicedo is clearly the CM1 and managers don't replace them unless it is completely required. If Caicedo is buggered then Enzo and Veiga. This is unless Lavia pulled a old SAF era Utd move of complaining of injury during the internationals, to only be OK the very next game for his club.
-
Can see him being sold. Cannot see him wanting to bench ride in the league and only play in the 2nd XI for too long. On top of this, he is one of the few 2nd XI players who is either worth the same or slightly more than we paid for them, so helps with FFP as we have started to run out of HG players we can sell for high fees. Trevor is likely the only one this Summer as I doubt Broja is coming back from injury and banging in enough to get a £25m+ fee.
-
It is a weird one. I suspect he will get sold, simply because he is a good player and we will likely deal at £55m+ in order to get some capital to move about.

There are a couple of players who seem to be getting a lot of minutes for unknown reasons. First is Sanchez. How this guy got dropped last season for costing us a goal every other game to being our No.1 again is ridiculous. As I mentioned on his thread, the club seem to think give him enough minutes and he will evolve like a fecking Pokèmon. Even if that where to happen, why is he not doing this on loan? Even more concerning is how we have 7 GK's and none of us our certain if any of them are better. Next is Noni. Personally, I actually really like Noni, but not when it comes at the expense of the team. For me, Palmer should be playing off the right so that he can stay in the final third more often. However, we cannot do that with Noni on the pitch, so he has to drop into midfield. Imo, we need to start exploring a AM setup of Neto Felix Palmer. I feel that would be super fluid and allow Felix to do the AM donkey work. Noni for me is also better off the bench as he is both direct and strong on the ball. Nightmare for FB's with 65-70 mins in their legs already.

They were comically bad. This competition is essentially glorified pre-season.
-
I think this is the case. Especially with the Disaster Bros. They're hardly going to say 'yeah, they're absolutely shit, please buy'. The exception is Sanchez imo, as they actually seem to think he is suddenly going to become world class overnight at 27+ (which he is within the next two weeks.)
-
Club seem to think this is going to be some sort of Magikarp situation, where the guy keeps costing your teams for ages then suddenly mega evolves into a beast.
-
We won't sign him he is too old for us.
-
Felix is normally OK on the ball most of the time. It is his decision making and finishing that normally falls apart in pressured situations.
-
Disaster needs to be sold to Strasborg. Our only other hope is Saudi.
-
Can we not play Felix in the middle and put Cole in at RW? I am not a massive fan of having Cole drop so deep. I do understand he has the skills to help progress the ball as our CM's aren't great at this. However, Felix can also do that and Cole is very dangerous in and around the box.
-
Still not my type of player in the possession side of the game. However, with his finish to last season and his start to this season I can admit I was wrong about my judgement of this guy.
-
So he told Sanchez to collapse on the floor rather smoother the ball at Dipperland and to run out like a moron against Brighton and get nowhere near the ball? OK. The problem with Sanchez isn't that he cannot execute the passes the manager is asking for, it is that he he has a super weird mix when it comes to shot stopping of making the easy look hard but occasionally making the hard look easy. The problem is, a GK frequently deals with the easy more than the hard.
-
I am personally still not sold on Sancho. At the moment, I have him still in the same category as Mudryk in that you can use them when playing the small fry/when we have all the ball. However, yes, we have more than enough at AM and the rumours around Nkunku aren't surprising at all.
-
As much as a second CF would be nice, we need to seriously sort out CB and GK. Disaster and Badi need to get shipped on loan (not selling them, unless someone owes us a favour), Tosin should be sold for profit. As for GK at some point Jorg needs a run in the PL as Sanchez is at best a GK2 owing to his HG status. As for the rest of the squad, I am happy with where we are at. Although I suspect a couple of the AM's will get moved when the Estevao and Paez turn up.

It is what happens when you put Disaster in the back line. Against this standard of opposition, he still gave away two needless fouls around the box due to being easily dispossessed/bypassed and got easily lost for the goal.
