You know things are bad when people are getting excited by a "meh" performances from Moses.
-
Anyone from UK already tried this one?
-
If Willian has a bad game but scores against Hull or if he can produce a good game, no one will be asking for Moses for at least one week.
-
You are 100% wrong, and you are 100% contradicting yourself. Moses is an average player. Well, "Willian is not giving a shit". Willian doesn't giving a shit still is a better player than Moses, just like Matic still is a better player than Loftus Cheek. The reason why Schurle, KDB and Luis left was exactly this: they were not doing ok, so they left and people didn't care back then, but guess what, the team wasn't getting anyone else to replace them, and comparing Moses with Schurlle, KDB and Luis is just stupid. Luis was doing great for Atletico Madrid and was considered one of the best LB in Europe when he was signed. Schurli always scored some goals when he had enough playing time, and previously he had a good record and Bundesliga, and was already playing for Germany NT. KDB was a promissing kid, and he was making his Premier League debut. Moses has enough experience in PL, and in past 3 seasons he played for Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham, where he was no more than squad player. So I want the likes of Pedro, Willian, Ivanovic, Matic and Oscar dropped as soon as the club get the right replacements, but only asking for someone else to play because you think they are not good enough, is just the typical reaction football fans usually have: when the team is not playing good, the fans will ask for the ones who are sitting on the bench to play. Anyone who ask for Moses, have no right to complain about the quality of this squad. End of it.

Anyone have this page 71? Times was one of the best papers around, but it was the first to ask for money from readers, now it seems others will follow this trend, I think Telegraph or Guardian are already asking for money.
-
This kit is actually good, thinking about getting one of this.
-
OMG You will be asking for Matic and Willian return if Moses, Chalobah and RLC are playing Game after Game. Really weird some people are mad with the quality of the squad and ask for Moses to start games. LOL

Its hard to take this thread seriously when opinions go from "Hazard is only behind Ronaldo and Messi" to "Hazard is so useless, he must leave the club".

Really? So Luiz made a mistake as costly as Cahill's assist to Sanchez? Come on. What happens here is clear for me. Since 13/14 season, when Cahill became a regular starting XI for English NT, local press tried to picture Cahill as a solid rock defender, while Luiz was this "non defender" player. You know, its not really amusing when the NT's CB is warming the bench for a top club. I remember Mouirnho faced questions about that when he came back and Terry and Luiz were his choosen ones. I remember that the press strated to highlight Luiz mistakes. There was a defeat to Everton, 1-0, when Luiz was caught out of position (actually one of the Cahill's weakest points), and there were many articles about that in the papers and eve a discussion about that in Sky Sports. In other game, after a mistake, the TV was showing Luiz and then Cahill, Luiz, then Cahill, more like saying: how can Luiz be playing an Cahill on the bench? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2466358/Jose-Mourinho-Gary-Cahills-John-Terry-David-Luiz-Chelsea.html Despite Cahill being no more than a Bolton quality player, and making huge mistakes in WCs and Eurocup, days ago Carragher said Terry and Cahill are ahead of Luiz in the picking order. Cahill's mistakes made England leave last WC after only two games, and this year, the team was defeated by Iceland (!!!). It took a huge mistake to local press start picturing Cahill as an average CB who dont deserve to start games for a team who want to be in the top again. Its not something that only happen in UK. Usually local press overrates their countrymen. Another good example was that Game against PSG, when Ba scored the 2nd in final minutes. Terry and Lampard were really shy in that game, and there was a article in DM about how good and decisive both were in that game. Now its happening again: last season the team was conceding goals for fun, and Terry was involved in most of those games, but now of course, the press is saying the team is conceding goals because Terry is not playing...

It seems he is spending too much time on social media, time that could be used to improve his finish, so he can do a Sanchez when the GK is leaving the goal.

I see, because the likes of Koulibaly and Naingolan are beyond doubt world class players that would easily make this Conte's side a top 4 contender...So the new excuse for sacking the managers is: "the board dont give the manager the right players". When the likes of Courtois, Oscar, Willian, Matic and Fabregas were bought seasons ago, no one was saying: "omg, the board is getting mediocre players". The board also spend "stupid money" on players like Lukaku (dont get me wrong, but he is just better than Batshuay) and KDB, and guess what, we even had a proper LB in Felipe Luis. Your storytelling about the situation between board and manager doesn't make any sense.
-
Actually my "WTF" was coming from the fact Metro made such a big deal of this mistake, and there was not a single headline about Cahill's horror show.
-
No Champions League this season, and if the team is in such a position that the top 4 is out of reach, there is no reason to sack him, since there wont be a season to be saved.
-
I think its silly to say Conte has nothing to do with the past results because "he didn't get the players he wanted". Come on, so if we had Koulibaly instead of Luiz, and Naingolan instead of Kante, so do you really believe the result would be different? Really? Koulibaly is no Ramos, Piquet, Silva or Boateng, and Naingolan is a good player but he is no world class, and Kante has been our best player this season so far.
-
This. I think its really weird some people keep picturing Roman as this stupid guy who just keep firing great managers for no good reason. But lets be honest, AVB, RDM, Avran and Scolari. Does anyone see those guys as good managers? Grant became a reason for joke in this forum. AVB improved in Russian league...after getting the axe in Spurs. RDM is now a Championship manager. Scolari went to Uzbekistan, then went back to Brazil where he relegated one of coutries greatest clubs, then got a 7-1 against Germany and now is in Chinese Super League.

Really dont care that he says, actually there is on thing I care about what he said: "The pitch speaks the truth". Give us the solution on the pitch.

WTF? http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/24/david-luiz-hilariously-ruins-a-chelsea-offside-trap-against-arsenal-6150746/
-
Is that really different from what we saw in past seasons against sides like Burnley, West Ham and Swansea? Controlling the game, pressing?
-
Actually I thought you said weeks ago this squad was good enough to get a top 4 finish, so I would vote for you. Polo7 next Chelsea manager.
-
No, that wont be a progress. Okay, we finished 10th last season, but during that Mourinho's tenure the team was at the botton of the table. I think under Hiddink we were at least a top 5 team in terms of points. Okay, football under Hiddink was boring, the team was getting too many draws, but the tactics were at least solid. That was a limited squad producing decent football. With the current kind of football, I see this team ending below 7th, but again, finishing 6th wont be a progress, that would be another lost season.
-
I dont agree at all. Matic was sitting on the bench last season, while Fabregas was playing Game after game. He is not playing the estabilished starting XI, and you do that when you are arriving in the mid season. Again the problem is not his starting XI, is how the team is playing.
-
How I wish you were Conte.
-
I really dont know if thats difficult to understand: the squad is not enought to win the Premier League, but Southampton produced more solid football against Arsenal at Emirates weeks agora. So am I supposed to believe this squad is one the worst in the leagues?
-
Chelsea need 10 new players to win PL and UCL. No doubt about that, but Chelsea dont need 10 players to PLAY DECENT FOOTBALL AGAINST LIVERPOOL AND ARSENAL.
-
Conte is bad. Just bad. Yeah, the squad is limited. I've been one of the biggest critics of this squad since 14/15 season, when, despite the PL trophy, I said our back 4 was a bunch of average players and Matic was no more than a pretty limited DM, when the rest of the forum was praising those players as world class ones. But we can understand when a team have pathern, decent and solid tactics, but is limited by the individual quality of the players. Mourinho's teams have pattern and solid tactics, even though I thought those tactics were way too conservative even when that was not needed, like that 2-2 games against PSG when the french side was down to 10 for most part of the game. No doubt some people will be here saying the squad is ultra shit and Conte is doing his best. I dont know if he is doing his best, what I know is at the moment his looking completely clueless, and team is a mess. Last week game against Liverpool and this one were a product of a team that has no pattern and is not training well. Some people will get angry, but after so many years we know whats going to happen soon or late. I just hope this board stop making those kind of stupid decisions. I really dont know how they thought Conte was a better option than Koeman, and I dont even know what Conte got in his CV to make him the choosen one. Bad, pretty bad.
