  1. I like his hair and he is a good character, but I hope next manager will know what to with this guy, he is not a CB at all.
  2. Out: Malouda Kalou Meireles Mikel TORRES ffs. In: Cavani or Falcao Hamsik Thiago Silva Neymar or Lucas Dedé (brazilian defender way better than Luiz) RB Modric Guardiola, Joachim or Moyes.
  3. The italian was a PROVEN manager, with some big trophies in his pocket. AVB is a 33 years old jornalist playing the manager. Its much more easy to "back" a "boss" like Mancini than one like AVB. No point in comparing both, and while Mancini was improving his team every time, AVB's Chelsea was getting worst every single game. I could say more: while AVB had a pre-season, more than 2 months to buy player and know the team, Mancini arrived in the middle of the season and had to create his own playing style, because Mark Hughes failed to build a team with his expensive players. Comparing Mancini's with AVB's situation using cold numbers is a very superficial way to look into the game. “I just think as a manager, you don’t get judged when you win five games back to back,” he said. “It is easy to send out teams then. You get judged when you lose at home and a midweek game and then another game. Villas-Boas went a whole season without losing a game. That is unrealistic. That is not what true management is about." Hoddle about AVB situation, and I think its perfect to describe the guy.
  4. I hope such a thing doesnt happen, otherwise in next season we will start "Roberto out?" topic, with 70% answering "he must stay" in the poll, and then some people will start saying the board is stupid weeks later when he get the axe. I think its time for a real good manager. Enough of crazy experiments like Scolari, Grant and Villas Boas. Football management is much more about brain than heart.
  5. Thats not an excuse. Everybody knows the needs of our squad: an overhaul. Thats why you cant say AVB did not had time to understand the needs of the squad and was using this season for such a thing (using a whole season only to understand what team needs is not a good thing to do). I remember one guy that came up with some crazy theory about management: 1- first season manager knows the squad. 2- second season manager stamp his autority. 3- third season the manager start to build the team. lol
  6. This is gonna be quite funny. We already have: - Jose Mourinho wants X millions to join plus Cristiano Ronaldo. - Joachin Low met Roman Abramovich in Geneva. - Chelsea is already discussing with Guardiola about his future. I expect more crazy things untill the club come up with an official name, and I dont think that will happen before Euro 2012, wich means we will have to wait untill july to know whos gonna be our next manager, and read amazing things in the press for the next 4 months.
  7. Its funny how some people really thinks AVB is a great manager. He wont join any big european club any time soon after this season.
  8. Remember how Anelka and Alex were treated? Nice revenge.
  9. Well, I posted days ago a poster called "Chelsea, a disaster by AVB". I think disaster is the best word to describe AVB tenure. It was a disaster from the beginning. When he arrived he decided the squad was good enough to win 4 trophies, when it was pretty clear it wasnt. I understand Lukaku wasnt one of his signings, but he bought Meireles, one of our worst signings in recent years and while we got an exciting player in Juan Mata we still dont know what's his best position, so whats the point of buying a good player when you dont know how to use him? He wanst the kind of manager to take the best from players. Guus Hiddink was the one that first tried Ivanovic as a right back, something the portuguese would never try, all he could do was using Bosingwa as a left back. Luiz is a good player but he needs a manager that will teach him one or two things, this is what a player needs not a manager that keeps saying he is a world class defender when the world knows its a lie. The guy was arrogant and stupid. He was letting Lampard on the bench and using Meirles only to make a point, not to get 3 points, and his "its my way or the highway" aproach was really silly. What the hell this 33 years old unproven "manager" was thinking? The way he acted in JT case wasnt good at all and it was also funny how in the beginning of the season he loved to do those flamboyant stupid fake celebrations and as soon as the results got really bad he started to celebrate the goals like a normal person would do. While I think Carlo Ancelotti wasnt the right man, I respect the guy, but AVB was just a bad joke, and probably the worst thing Red Rom did since he bought the club was hiring the guy, and the best thing was firing him.
  10. no reason for this topic, just post this in the existing ones: "new manager" or "avb axed".
  11. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9125007/Chelsea-stars-face-Roman-Abramovichs-axe-as-owner-prepares-for-Stamford-Bridge-clearout.html Interesting article.
  12. Mourinho has a big mouth, asks for players, want to spend big, create a bad atmosphere where he goes. This is not what we need.
  13. "Chelsea it is not about training and playing games and then going home, it is about so much more than that. "Abramovich does not like sacking managers. But he is passionate about football and as much as he wants stability, if he can see the club is not going in the direction he wants he will act." Thats it.
  14. Hey guy, whats you problem? AVB's fan? Sorry it hurt your feellings, but the portuguese coach was a disaster.
  15. The team need changes. It seems Red Rom knows AVB is not the only to blame, the players are also guilty, but the portuguese was a pathetic manager. If we want next season to be different, it wanst just like giving AVB another season and letting him buy and sell who he wanted. He is a joke.
  16. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/roman-sacks-avb-then-reads-the-riot-act-to-players-7536384.html Nice.
  17. AVB did not deserve Chelsea, If you know what I mean...
  18. Anyone but Mourinho. What the fuck is Bielsa doing in that poll?
  19. THIS nightmare is over. This season was a disaster, there was no room for AVB anymore. I dont care If its players or boards fault. The portuguese was a very well paid manager, not a poor man. Now we dont need the bullshit about AVB being a brilhant manager or a guy that needed time, or the talk about players vs AVB, Now we can discuss about our new manager and about our future. AVB wont be missed.
  20. Thanks God, the nightmare is over. AVB was a great disaster.
  21. LMAO So the media hate us because they are reporting the managers are likely to get the axe? What happened with Carlo? Axed! Now its pretty clear AVB is will get the axe, and its not media's fault. Last season here in Brazil Corinthians' manager was under pressure, the media were talking about the axe all the time, what happened? The Chairman went to the press and told them: he is our manager, even if we lose 10-0 at home he is staying as our manager. Corinthians won the league after all. Why dont people from Chelsea say they are behind AVB? Why they never said Carlo Ancelotti job was safe? Because they are not behind AVB and because Carlo wasnt safe. Thats why the italian was axed and thats why it will be a surprise if AVB start next season as Chelsea's manager.
  22. So you neighboor is late, because right now the everybody know he "is really close to getting sacked".
  23. Red Rom wont accept Mourinho back. So you Mourinho fan boys, just calm down because he wont manage this club again.
  24. I think Mourinho is a disgrace. Not sure if this legacy would be what the club needs.
