No. Don't be surprised if Costa end up playing in any club in the world but Chelsea, next season. Last year Falcao to Chelsea was a done deal, and days ago Barcelona was David Luiz's destiny, according to press.

We should put managers name in the section about past players. Carlo is awesome manager to get the best of a squad full of a team that already exist. Chelsea played the best football under Ancelotti, and Real had his most successful season in 12 years, but Real was only 3rd in La Liga. Not sure if he is the man to build another team for Real Madrid when that would be the case.

I think Luiz is exactly the kind of player PSG need. He is a very intelligent guy (not talking about his tactical intelligence), big personality. In the defeat for Chelsea it was clear PSG still lacks personality, they lack big characters like Luiz. I think he will be huge success in Paris.

This topic became embarrassing. I really don't know what Mourinho has to do with Luiz leaving. Even If he was our best player last season, for 50m he would be a PSG player next season anyway. Mourinho sell players and bring players if the board allow those transfers. Matic looks like a Mourinho signing, but Salah looks the typical signing of past seasons : a mediocre player bought because he is u23, so he is a "promissing talent". I think Mourinho had nothing to do with this signing, its a indication he is sharing the power. He is not playing Football Manager and deciding everything. Mourinho has nothing to do with the price PSG is paying for Luiz, or with the price United paid for Mata, or KDB or with Matic's price, so suggesting "he" got 90m for Mata, KDB and Luiz is ridiculous. Mata's price was based in his performances between 2011/13, before Mourinho. Luiz price was based in his performances between 2010/2013 and in his performances for Brazil, his price as a Mourinho's player is under 10m. KDB price is based in his performances in Germany, and Benfica decided Matic price, not Mourinho. The board deserves credit for those transfers, and if you ask me they were all BIG deals (Salah aside). Mourinho gets credits and criticism even when he doesn't deserve.

One year from now I bet you and everyone who liked your post will be licking his balls, and I expect things like "he is a god" coming from you.

Ancelotti was in a "transition" season. lol To be honest I don't even know why we are debating this. What Mourinho did in Madrid has nothing to do with his current job. He failed to win the UCL with Real and Carlo managed to win in his first season in charge. FACTs. Is Carlo better than Mourinho, I don't think so, I will pick the portuguese any day of the week, I also think Simeone did a better job than Ancelotti and is easily the manager of the season. To other side its just ignorance to downgrade Carlo's conquest just to make Mourinho's years in Madrid better. Just imagine Mourinho winning UCL with us, and someone saying "big deal, not winning anything with this squad and the amount of money he has would be embarrassing". For fuck sake, Ancelotti has 3 fucking UCL trophies, and alongside Paisley, is the most successful manager in Europe ever. FACT. He won the first UCL trophy for Real in 12 years, and Mourinho was supposed to do that but failed. FACT. The rest, are excuses. For me it would be better if Mourinho could win a third trophy as Chelsea manager, and we could be discussing his achievements with us, instead of trying to find excuses for his Real Madrid's failure.

He lost: -Well adapted Ozil. -Higuain. Plus, Carlo deserves credits for "adapting" Modric.
-
About Costa, for me its clear he played the last games of the season injured. I don't think it should break the deal (if happens). He is not a injury prone. (but I still think Edinson is the striker we need).

CHOULO19 I'm reporting this one here, before I start to answer to this kind of insult (this is not the first coming from this member) and then receive some PM from a moderator warning me about issues derailing the whole forum.

Crucified by the hypocrites, who booed Droga for diving.
-
Not sure what do you mean, I liked what Simeone did, I'm just saying some people don't like some behavior when it come from other teams.
-
If it was Mourinho, instead of Simeone, everyone here would be saying how legendary the man is...

Lets be honest, the 3rd goal was a howler. Anyway, definitely a very good keeper, but I've been saying that since the talk about Curtois as 1ts choice GK started: Cech still is very young for a GK, still has at least 5 years as world class player. I think when the results are not good enough, people want changes, but for GK still is the best keeper for Chelsea and will be for some years to come.

Why did you even put the "below top 4" as an option? Actually I don't believe in the "transition year" term. What does transition means? Take Manchester United as an example, they are in transition period. SAF era has ended, and they are in a transition period, but it can be transition from a period where they were the biggest winning club in England, to a period where they are no longer the country powerhouse. The "transition" term in football, most of the time, is a fallacy, because it has the idea of the success behind it. I mean, transition can mean a lot of things. City is in a transition period, they are in a transition from being a decent club in England, to being a european powerhouse. Chelsea is also in a transition, from being a team that is winning things because it has a free spending billionaire behind it, to a self sufficient club with solid foundations. If you have a company, you might have a transition, from focusing on personal computers, to focusing on smart devices, for example, in this case you can control a "transition", but when Mourinho is saying this season was transition, he is basically saying this season was a transition period from a non solid team to a solid winning one, but thats a fallacy. Mourinho himself doesn't know if Chelsea will win a single trophy next season, he doesn't know if the team will be more solid next season. If everything goes according to the plan and we do win big things next season, in high-sight we might come to conclusion that 2013/14 season was really a transition one, but, for example, if Mourinho is sacked at the end of next season, we might look back and realize 13/14 season was only another bad chapter in the history of a team seeking for a new identity. People saying this season was "transition", they believe football is predictable and linear: if you let the manager do the job, naturally the good results will come, some people believe we will be better next season in terms of results, we WILL win things, this is the natural thing to happen, the same way some people believe in 2 years Hazard will become the best player in the world, because they believe the players have a linear progress, if they don't think he will be the best in the world, at least they believe in 2016 he will be better than right now. I think we had a transition in recent years, from the team that had Drogba, Terry, Lampard and Cech as the spine, to a team with new actors playing the major roles, but that transition already ended. Drogba left in 2012, Lampard became a squad player, 90% of the fans want Curtois to replace Cech, and perhaps this season we saw the swan-song of Terry's career. Perhaps the transition we had this season, was a transition from a team that was more of a collection of good talents, to a real team that has its own playing style and identity, but as I said, will Mourinho achieve that goal? Will he build a solid, strong, winning side? A lot of people consider this season to be a success because they are thinking about what the team can do next season, but we don't know whats going to happen, all we know are the facts: the team struggled to create, struggled to score, struggled to beat smaller sides, was really effective against big teams until UCL semi-final, the defensive system was solid, no trophies, 3rd in PL, we lacked a prober striker, etc. So I went "no", because I don't want more "transition" excuse next season.

To other said Luiz was sold for almost that price. Not sure if the money is an issue here. Also Cavani is the safe option, he has a track record of good seasons in european leagues, and playing for Uruguai. Diego Costa has only one great season in his CV.
-
I think its a sad thing Luiz departed after this mediocre season, and its even more sad that his last two games as a Chelsea player were the loss to Atletico de Madrid, and the depressing match against Norwich, but he managed to become the most expensive defender in the world, it means we are getting twice the price we paid for Benfica 3 and half years ago, so at least the stupid talk about Luiz being a waste of money will stop. Actually he became the most profitable Chelsea signing ever. I will always remember his performance in UCL Final, easily the peak of his Chelsea career.
-
Vai tomar no seu cuh, arrombado.
-
Not similar. Luiz is leaving for a unbelievable amount of money, he became the most expensive defender in the world. Even Luiz fans, like me, won't complain about that move.
-
Costa is brazilian, but I not sure if he is THE player we need. I mean, is he really that good or just a mediocre player having a superb season? To other side I have to admit his price is fair: 32m, specially when we paid the same for Hazard and Willian, and today Costa is a better player than Hazard was in 2012 or Willian in 2013, but with the crazy money paid for Luiz, I think we can buy any striker in the world. For me Cavani is the real deal.
-
To be honest I think Cavani is way better.
-
Strange there is not talk about Chelsea interested in gettin Cavani after Luiz deal.
-
I have to adimit, this money just cant be refused. Its a good thing he is leaving as the most expensive defender ever.
-
50m for Luiz? Its seems one of Daily Mail most stupidest bullshit ever. PSG got sanctioned, and that amount of money for Luiz seems the most stupid market move since Torres for Chelsea 2 and half years ago. BUT, if that happens to be true, its a dream move. Sounds really good to be true, but I do believe DM is making his whole thing based in the odds.

The rumors are coming from Sky Bet odds.
