"Name" + "Sweden Flag" + "advocating for Luiz" + "using strong words"...are you sure he "joined" today?

Want to wait until the beginning of the season before this kind of reaction. The team is full of WC flops, so I understand people are dismissing those players. Its the same reason why people are saying everywhere that Schurle deserves more playing time next season, even if in his first season he was average at best in most of his playing time, despite his decent goal record. To be honest its crazy to create a crisis even before the season started...

LMAO Ten reason why Mourinho should be next Brazil NT coach: http://globoesporte.globo.com/blogs/especial-blog/pombo-sem-asa/post/dez-motivos-para-jose-mourinho-ser-o-novo-tecnico-da-selecao-brasileira.html

That will be really shocking, but if that happen I don't think Mourinho will change his system, Ramires would play as second DM alongside Matic, and Fabregas would be playing in a more attacking position, in the middle, while Hazard and the other guys will be playing on the wings. and even Ramires can play as a winger (lol).
-
He said in the beginning of last season he wanted to implement this system. Since his Inter de Milan success, his new system is 4-2-3-1. He used this system with Real as well and with Chelsea lasts season. Basically it means in the last 6 or 5 years the 4-2-3-1 is Mourinho system. There is nothing to suggest at this point he want to go back to the 4-3-3. http://www.sportskeeda.com/general-sports/the-evolution-of-jose-mourinho/ I think its easier to see Mourinho adopting a two striker formation at some point: like Higuiain and Benzema in some Real games, than adopting the 4-3-3.
-
I really don't understand the purpose of this topic. Mourinho favor the 4-2-3-1 system. Matic will play alongside Fabregas, then Hazard, William, Oscar, Schurle, Salah will share the 3 spots behind the lone striker. Van Ginkel is also returning from injury. There won't e any other CM signing, unless its a player for the future or a squad player.

Huge mistake to let him leave, but he is not a player to sit on the bench in favor of any other GK in the world, but Cech still is the best GK for Chelsea.

Luiz is a very good defender. I don't like conspiracy theories, but in the beginning of the last season Mourinho said Luiz and Terry were his first choice CBs. I remember those kind of thing: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2466358/Jose-Mourinho-Gary-Cahills-John-Terry-David-Luiz-Chelsea.html Mourinho had to answer questions about how Cahill lack of first team football would an issue for England NT. I remember after Luiz mistake in the match against Everton. In some tv show the guys were discussing Luiz lack of defensive discipline for about 10 minutes, he was basically pictured as the man who let the team down and lost the match for Chelsea. Then, there was that infamous Newcastle game: Just watch those two goals and see if they are Luis fault. After that match this topic was flooded by Luiz bashing, and the press was full of "Mourinho is making a mistake choosing Mourinho in favor of Cahill". As Cahill became a starting XI for England NT, british press tried everything to show everyone he was a world class defender, and the natural choice to be Chelsea starting XI: just imagine England going to WC with a CB that is a squad player for his club. The irony it that In the WC, England left the tournament after silly and amateurish mistakes from Cahill and Jagielka in the first two matches, while Luiz is easily one of the best player of the tournament. The difference in size between Luiz and those CB's is immense.

Very good post. I only want to comment 3 things: 1- Bale price tag was immense, and most people thought he wasn't worth that price. He went to Real trying to prove his value. He knew who the big star is. But he tried the whole season to justify his purchase. He scored decisive goals for Madrid, Copa Del Rey and the biggest of all: UCL. Hazard already arrived at Chelsea as a big star. Before he played one single match for us, he already was a star. I never saw Hazard as a player trying to prove his value. One year ago he was talking about score 60 goals in a season, like Messi and Ronaldo. It seems he believes he is bigger than he really is. Just think about his comments after UCL exit: "Often I'm required to do it all by myself and it's not easy". 2- About the hate for Brazil, I think this forum is a different case, since I joined this forum 4 years ago, it was clear some people really don't like Brazil. We have some hyper critical members here when the subject is our own brazilian players. Just think about Luiz, Oscar or William topic. They are the same people in Brazilian NT team topic saying bad things about our team. 3- 4 years ago some people were sure Ganso would be Brazil #10 in 2014 WC. To imagine Ganso playing for Brazil today is a laughable idea. I'm not comparing Ganso and Hazard, but in 2018 Hazard can be a football superstar, Ballon D'or Winner, or can be the same player he is today. I'm still waiting for a great performance in UCL decisive match, before I can't even mention his name alongside Messi and Ronaldo.

I disagree, because we keep paying ridiculous prices for certain players.

After the season is over, and after this WC, I understand Mourinho's tactics last season. He is a winner, and he needed that pragmatic approach to win with that squad. He will never start a season thinking about winning the next one. Our squad is not good enough. Simple. From defense to attack. Our defense: Cahill and Azi. Midfield: Hazard, Oscar, William, Hazard, Schurle; Attack: Torres, Etoo. All of those players are overrated. Those players are not winners. They lack the leadership mentality. They might be great in the future, but they are not great yet. Even Hazard is not even close of being as good as the hype in this forum suggests, he is not a player carrying the team on his shoulders, he is part of the mediocrity. Terry, Ivanovic, Cole, Cech and Luiz, who left, were the only players with winning mentality in this squad. Players like Fabregas and Costa, even tough I'm not a big fan of both, will only improve the team's mentality. This is the kind of player is needed, the team is full of "promising" players, but we need more than a u23 squad to be a winner team, and there is no better manager in the world to build a winner team than Mourinho.

Even Chielini, the victim, is saying the punishment is excessive.
-
He was fined by FA. FIFA has nothing to do with his behavior in Premier League.
-
I'm leaving this topic. I like psychedelic stuff, but thats enough for me.

To honest I don't get this kind of argument. If you think what he did offended Children, then kids should not be allowed to watch football. So Suarez should be banned from football because parents with kids have a lot of explaining to do?
-
Third BITE doesn't mean FIFA should threat him like a criminal and take out his WC credentials. No one is questioning the punishment here, just the kind of punishment.
-
Perhaps in England everybody is loving everything, because Suarez was hated in England before in WC, and even more hated now after WC ended for England, for obvious reasons. Not what I see in Brazil, as 10 out of 10 people from football press are saying this punishment is totally out of place. But as usual you always think I'm just trying to be different, and I do believe you barely read my posts, or perhaps you never try a little bit harder to understand what I'm saying. No one is saying he didn't deserved some kind of punishment, I'm questioning FIFA methods, and specially taking out his WC credentials. You are a very, very, very obtuse person.
-
No, and no. Intentional violent tackle is not what football is about. Take the Aguero/Luiz incident two seasons ago. Thats definitely not what you should expect to see on the pitch. You are basically saying if the agressor using his foot in FOOTball, its more acceptable than using his teeth. I can't accept that. I agree, bitting is totally out of place, but again, I said he deserved the punishment, I'm just saying FIFA just went too far, specially with the 4 month ban, and taking out his WC credentials and treating him like a criminal. Its not the only problem here. What was the criterion used to punish him? Who punished him? Why 9 games and not 10? Why 4 months and not 3, 5, 6, or even 1 year? Punishment with no rules to regulate the punitive power is always some kind of authoritarianism. His football activity ban is totally out of place. FIFA should only ban players from international duties. His aggression happened in a WC. Why he should be banned from club competition? Competitions that FIFA is not involved? But in the last sentence you said FIFA should obligate Suarez to see some psychiatrist. It seems you love an authoritarianism, just like most part of Brazilians.
-
Ethically, intellectually and logically we are in different levels, specially if you want to discuss Justice and Criminal Law here, my friend. Discussion is over, before it even started. :tophat:
-
Dude, I like your posts but I disagree. Suarez did not deserve that punishment. It was a bite. In 1994 Leonardo almost killed Tabi Ramos and got 4 games, and that was all. He lost his WC credentials. He left the hotel with cops, like a criminal. He can't even stay with his team-mates in the same hotel. Thats why he had to leave Brazil and take a fly to Montevideo. We see uglier stuff every week during a football season. Suarez deserved a punishment, but only a crazy-minded person would say his band was too lenient. Gimme a break. FIFA is almost destroying Suarez career because of a bite in the back. If he was sent off, there is no way that FIFA would give him such a punishment. I also bet that if he was from a country with a powerful confederation like Brazil, there is no way that he would get such punishment. That punishment was a disgrace.

Hazard is receiving criticism because of the unrealistic expectations. He is a very good player, but we all were expecting he to lead a very exciting and attacking team in this WC. To be honest, I can't remember an outstanding performance from Hazard in UCL in past two seasons. He is not yet that kind of player who can decide a big game on his own. Belgium has a good team, but not as good as the hype suggests. Hazard won't make a miracle with this team, not because the team is so poor that even Hazard won't save it, but because Hazard is not good enough to turn a team like Belgium into WC contenders. Alex was perfect here: "What most Chelsea fans are scared to admit is that was the story of his season, four or five magnificent, world-class performances aside. The most sobering thought is that in that five minute window he offers more than the rest of our attack does in 90 minutes. That's what cost us last season. He's still very raw and miles away from being the player most of us think he is, but he is nonetheless a special player with all the ability in the world. It's just his mentality that concerns me." I'm glad he said that, and not me, otherwise people would say I was trying to be controversial. I don't think we should be surprised about his timid performances in those games, because as Alex said, that was the story of his season. He is not a player ready to be the protagonist of the team, to run a team to a winning campaign in a big tournament. Some players take years to achieve that level.

Hope Atletico will make a huge offer to renew his contract. He can become an Atletico's legend.
-
Luiz is clearly better player and defender. Cahill had a better season, but that doesn't make him the better defender.
-
I can think about Cech, Cahill, Ivanovic. To be honest I don't see Cahill as a captain, he seems a nice guy, and I don't see him as a leader. Ivanovic is very hard man, but sometimes he just goes out of control. Not sure if he has the mentality to be a captain. Cech is the easier choice, but it remains to be seen his role next season, but if keeps his first choice GK status, no doubt he is our next captain. ps: how people are voting for Fabregas? I agree he has what it takes, but he needs more years as a Chelsea player before even being considered.
