My problem with Matic is that he seems to sometimes harm the team. Yes Mikel doesn't provide much, but Matic makes too many mental mistakes atm and that could cost us more. He is the better footballer but is much more prone to mistakes at the moment. I don't blame Hiddink for choosing a reliable 6/10 performer over him, tbh.

People shouldn't blame Kenedy for the goal either. It really wasn't anything to do with bad positioning... He was squaring up Di Maria who made the pass to Ibra to begin with... It's Cahill who should've gone with Ibra instead of pretending to go with him which confused Ivanovic and Kenedy.

Costa is easily a top 5 striker IMO. Can't really upgrade on him atm. There are only a few strikers better than him. In no order, my top 5 is Suarez, Aguero, Costa, Lewandowski and Benzema. None of the others are attainable. If we want to be a force, upfront is one of the last places we'd look to improve. In fact, with the way Traore is developing, if we get in another good striker to challenge both him and Costa we're more than fine there.

Say it ain't so. We need to cash in on him ASAP.

At least Guus stayed honest to his word and actually gave RLC decent minutes unlike a certain fella...

We don't necessarily need to buy another player/superstar in the AM strata, we seem to be pretty stacked there, especially if Hazard stays and regains form. I'd be happy with any combination of Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Kenedy, Oscar, Musonda or Traore/Boga next season tbh. If we wanted to improve there I'd simply sell Oscar and upgrade on him.

Pedro has been pretty good recently, wouldn't band him in the same boat as Oscar at all.

Maybe as an insurance policy in case we sold Remy.

No season has ever been like the one we're experiencing right now either. If you don't think being 6 points off top with 12 games to go constitutes as being involved in the title race then I don't know. Of course we'd have to be a bit better to win it but we'd certainly be around. I don't think the winner of the PL this year will reach 80 points tbh.

1.8 x 26 is 46.8, so we'd have to round up to 47 points which would put us level with City who are 4th, and 6 points off top. If that's not still challenging for the title I don't know what is...

I disagree on him definitely playing 3-5-2. He doesn't force tactics on players. Based on history, he finds the best tactics for the talent he has.

Fabregas could actually end up becoming a very very important player if we do end up with Conte. As you said though, it's vital that we get a great B2B midfielder next to him and Matic for it to work.
