  1. Even though some of you don't really like the idea of Fabregas still having an important role in the team, I actually think a midfield three of Fabregas, Matic & Kante would work really well. Kante makes up for the lack of dynamism Matic displays and lack of defensive prowess Fabregas has. It could work very well.
  2. So the club fully bid 90m euros for Pogba but apparently we didn't back Jose last season.
  3. I didn't actually say that. I said that Morata is more similar to Mandzukic than he is to Dybala. My point is comparing Morata to Dybala is even more absurd than comparing Morata to Mandzukic. Morata is nowhere near Dybala technically, not even a question. Morata is more of a penalty box striker as well, just like Mandzukic is. There are more similarities in Morata and Mandzukic than there are in Morata and Dybala.
  4. The player holds the power in this. If he doesn't want to go to Everton, how much they bid for him doesn't matter. Who is to say that Chelsea won't up their offer to match Everton's? Complaining that Everton bid higher than us after we've already had a bid on the table is outrageous. It's not like they made a bid before us and we decided to undercut their bid. Before you get angry, at least see how it plays out. Also, please refrain from calling other forum members stupid, or telling them to use their brain. You can have debates without insulting someone.
  5. You're actually one of the most annoying members on this forum at the moment. So what if Everton outbid us by 6m euros? It's Koulibaly's decision to come here or not. I'm sure he'd pick the Bridge over Goodison Park.
  6. Ha, Dybala is not similar to Morata at all. Morata is more similar to Mandzukic than he is to Dybala. Using this argument, we definitely shouldn't sign Morata because he's very similar to Michy and Costa, so they can't play up front together. ~£50m for Morata? You must be insane. Let's spend our money somewhere else where we actually need players, you know, like CM or at the back.
  7. What's this obsession with buying Pogba? I wouldn't want the guy for £100m. Like you're namesake, it's a no no.
  8. Well, that's entirely different to what you were initially saying. We aren't defending that he can consistently dictate play in big games, he's struggled in that aspect, everyone knows. You said that Spain won't win anything big with him on the pitch, which is a completely different statement.
  9. He clearly said "with him on the pitch" which obviously is completely false.
  10. What? They've won the World Cup and the Euros with Fabregas playing a decently big part in both tournaments.
  11. I'm sure Italy will allow him to leave early.
  12. Now this would be an exciting signing. Would be a very good B2B midfielder which is what we need. Inclined to say that I think I'd prefer him over Nainggolan.
  13. Which is still kinda pricey. I can see why the club want to reach a compromise.
  14. After Roma's just bought him for 9m euros? I truly doubt that. Regardless... We need better quality. He isn't even better than Cahill IMO.
  15. No matter how highly/lowly you rate him he just isn't worth anywhere near 30m.
  16. I see where you're coming from now. I agree that RLC, Baker and Ake should be part of the squad next season btw. Not as sutomatic starters though (maybe apart from Ake). I also agree that we shouldn't but average players when we have these lads in the team who'd be able to fill those sort of roles easily. What we need to get correct this summer is buying actual players that'll walk into the first XI (in the right positions). If we do that and bring back our more talented youngsters from loan, it would be a successful summer.
  17. Completely forgotten about Martial, who has been far more important? Just because one youth player has done well at United doesn't mean we can use that as a definite example of how to move forward. Tottenham have lots of young players but they're all very mature with tons of first team experience at the top level. Again, not really a great example to use.
  18. We should stay well clear of Willems, he isn't good enough. Erratic player.
  19. He's actually very highly rated, one of the best players at his age. Big scope for improvement, huge potential. He's already better than any CB at the club bar probably Zouma, JT and Christensen. We need an experienced CB though. The right sort of profile we're looking at.
  20. Interested in @DYC.'s opinion on Nainggolan and how he'd fit in. Provide, mij broer.
  21. Underrated, always has been. Still think he can be a solid player for CFC in the future. Possibly a Mark Noble like player.
  22. You guys still wanna "cash in" on him yeah?
