What I don't understand is why people get annoyed when Torres has performed well and people praise him for it. Give credit where it's due. Likewise, he's not not prone to criticism. Sometimes the criticism is over the top, sometimes the praise is, but let's remember, FT is a CFC player who will be leading our line next season, so let's stop acting like bitches and just see how the season pans out.

Quality. Juve on the rise again.

He's the Golden Boot winner, deal with it. I don't know why anyone is unhappy. It's only better for CFC if he starts performing. He's looked good this tournament, he's slowly getting back to his best. Let's support him as he's going to be our main striker next season. He deserves to be praised for his achievements, and he deserves to be criticised for poor performances, just like any other player is. He's played well today, so there's no point in looking at the past and using that as a yardstick to beat him and anyone who praises him with. Stop being such women guys! P.S. No disrespect to any female members.

It's a false rumour.

Dempsey signed for Fulham in the season they nearly got relegated. He's progressed nicely, but I doubt Fulham knew he'd turn out to be this good.
-
Paulo Ferreira kept Bale quiet for a couple of games. Does that mean he's better than Maicon? Nope. It's unfair to use one specific game to judge one player.
-
I don't think so neccesarily. It's still 50-50 to me.
-
It's not just this thread fella. There are many threads where you think your opinion is almost God-like. Stop thinking everything you say is fact like. Are you trying your best to sound like some ignorant git? Again, in your post, you allude that Maicon is past it. I completely disagree with you. If you watch Serie A, you'd realise that Maicon would still be very useful if he signed for us. He isn't finished at all. Go watch the 4-2 Milan derby and tell me, is Maicon finished? He's still a top 10 right back.
-
You need to stop coming into threads with a patronising tone, thinking your opinion is more credible than others on here. No one's stupid enough to think we're signing the prime Maicon. If you actually read the thread, most people are saying he'd be a good back up option compared to what we had last year in Bosingwa. Essentially he'd be taking over the Bosingwa role. Debuchy or Maicon, I don't think many would mind whoever. Maicon is a good alternative to Debuchy.
-
If we managed to sign Luka, Hulk and Maicon, we'd be right up there challenging on all fronts again.
-
As long as his wages are decent, this would be an astute short term signing.
-
It's ridiculous isn't it.
-
Please elaborate on how a Modric - Mikel partnership would get run over? I'd love to see your reasoning behind it, instead of insulting this forum and calling everyone idiots. Go ahead, explain your point if you're not the idiot yourself.

More tactics than philosophy to me. It's funny how when Mourinho basically introduced the 4-3-3 into the PL that Man Utd decided to adopt the tactics too. They went from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 to a more recent 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1. It hasn't always been pace from the wide areas under Ferguson. Prime example: the David Beckham years. Philosophy is Barcelona-esque. Milan under Carlotti. Just examples. Not many clubs have an actual consistant philosophy, it is quite rare to see.

Disagree to that. To me, and I'm sure others will agree, Drogba is on par with Lampard in terms of legendary status. I'm sure that's the general consensus?

No one's not saying Morrison hasn't improved. What most are trying to say is that he doesn't have it in him to belong to a top four team. There's a million of James Morrison's around, hard working players that improve season after season until they've peaked. I don't see Morrison improving enough to even be worth a squad role at CFC, my opinion though.
-
Mata and Hazard are bound to interchange as they are both quite effective on the left.
-
That doesn't come automatically with managerial stability. Wtf do you think Roman wants to do? Why the fuck do you think he hired Ancelotti and AVB? Because he wants our club to have a philoshophy. Would you really say Man Utd have a solid philosophy? They vary their tactics to suit their opponent. They play to win things. It's something that comes from top down and it takes longer than a decade to really become the soul of the club.
-
That's my point, so using a yardstick to beat Torres down just because he didn't play against Portugal is equally naïve IMO.
-
Mata must be shit as well then.

Admittedly, last season before he joined us Cahill was really bad, but the seasons before he was definitely one of England's best central defenders. Yes he was in his last year, but £7m for Cahill was a bargain, he's really good, and it was evident to everyone that Bolton wasn't his level. It's different with Morrison though, I personally don't see him making that step up like Cahill has done. Cahill is now regularly in the England squad, Morrison rarely makes the Scotland squad (IIRC).

Quality little player. Him and Dani Alves will provide great additional width at pace for Barcelona. Alves - Piqué - Puyol - Alba. Nice!
