Perfectly justifiable post mate, but what Mikel is excellent at is not losing the ball and recycling possession. Surely with Benat, who has the eye for a killer pass next to him, the pivot would be a lot more solid? Benat can pass it to Mikel as many times as he wants - Mikel rarely loses the ball, and clocks up a lot of passes anyway as he makes himself available for the pass quite well. IMHO Modric or Benat or any DLP of their ilk should in theory do well with Mikel by their sides. In reality would it work though? I don't know, we'd have to (hopefully) wait and see when we get these players.

Could do with a Viera type midfielder in the squad, especially at that price. If our scouts are urging us to sign him then why not? Could be a steal, if not, it's not really a big loss. Has anyone seen the lad play?

I think Sturridge has a good finish on him. Does anyone blame him for being a bit rusty though? In the last 6 months he's started about 5 games. What do you expect? I think him and Suarez will be a hit, they compliment each other quite well.

Cahill has been okay but he hasn't been "great" IMO. I'd still have JT in my team over him. The JT and Luiz partership has been our best this season as well IMO.

Because we don't play through him all the time, he isn't the main man, like he was at Lille. Here has has to share the ball with Mata, Oscar, Moses and whoever is in the pivot and up front. It's more of a team game at CFC.

Terry is our best CB. I'd wait a few games before throwing him in but he definitely needs to start, and I think it might be Cahill that'll be sacrificed.
