Mourinho didn't leave. Mourinho was sacked. There's a difference. He didn't just get up and leave CFC like he did with Inter or Porto. That's the main difference. Mourinho is also clearly not the same person as he was back 10 years ago - he doesn't need to go around Europe's top leagues and win every title there anymore - he's already done all of that. This is another, different challenge for Mourinho - the challenge to nurture and bring through a young side with bags of potential. - one I think he'll relish.
-
No one is saying it didn't, stop trying to change the subject. We are talking about why you think people shouldn't get excited about Mourinho returning, not about how money plays a large role in our success (something you brought up by the way).
-
Depleted Barcelona team? What the hell have you been watching?
-
But surely City should've won more given their pool of talent? 5 years since they've took over, and they've only managed to win 2 major trophies. Compare that to 5 in just 3 under Mourinho. Doesn't that speak volumes to you?
-
I don't expect you to understand since you've only started to support the club in recent years. What I seriously can't understand though is how you don't rate Mourinho because of one season of drama at Real - you are choosing to ignore that it's always drama there, regardless of who's manager. How you're discounting a manager who's done an outstanding job at his three previous clubs is quite laughable IMO. Is there any better option than Mourinho out there atm? No. Mourinho's head and shoulders above any other candidate. It's hard not to get excited when arguably the best manager in the world who's adored by all CFC fans is linked to come home...

People are getting confused. When KDB said he has no time he meant he had no time to watch all full games. Of course he keeps up with our results and stuff, it doesn't take long to do that. People are just blowing this out of proportion and want to label KDB as a "spoilt" brat, something that people did with Lukaku as well. It was not until recently when people actually seen Lukaku's interview when they could see that Lukaku was actually a humble character. Like I said, it's just being blown out of proportion.

Excellent, excellent article. Couldn't disagree less, however as said above my number 1 partnership would be Terry - Luiz. If you could update the article and include how many goals each partnership has conceded that'd be wonderful too. It'd give us a clearer picture.

Courtois, Dembele, Witsel and Hazard really held it down today for Belgium. Such a talented team. I think you guys will definitely qualify.

Azaaaaar

Belgium need to put on Lukaku as a more direct threat than Benteke IMO.
-
Sacrifice a little bit of agility for more balance and power? That's fine. He can still move his body around very swiftly. It's amazingly hard to get the ball off this lad due to his wonderful balance and power whilst still having brilliant feet.

NEVER CHANGE YOUR NAME. 'Manpe' is synonymous with 'legendary'.
-
I would still take Hulk for a decent price. Still think he's built for the PL. Lukaku, Ba & Hulk as a third striker option whilst also providing another option out wide... Why not? Like I said, if he came at a decent price, I'd still take him.
-
No. People said the same about Lukaku last year. Honestly, these interviews are often taken out of context, I would take them with a pinch of salt.
-
But think about it. Do you think Lukaku and Courtois would've developed this well if they were given minutes here and there in the Carling Cup or FA Cup at CFC instead of playing regularly? Surely not.
-
This I agree with. I'd rather have Nat get regular minutes at a PL squad next season than him being a squad player.
-
Kojo just likes anyone that goes against the general consensus.

1. I don't understand how you think I'm obsessed with you. Probably 0.1% (being optimistic here) of my posts on here might have something remotely to do with you. 2. The fact remains that whenever you post on this forum it is either Benitez or Torres related and never anything else. 3. I don't understand how saying that you're a Benitez and Torres fan warrants as a "personal insult". You calling me part of a "stupid mob" is more qualifiable as an insult to me. 4. If most Chelsea fans and general supporters felt the same way you did about Torres/Benitez, why do the majority of a large CFC community such as TalkChelsea disagree with that notion? 5. You could've supported CFC for 50 years, doesn't make your opinion on any manager or any player more valid than someone else's. 6. Fact remains that when Benitez and Torres leave CFC, we probably won't see any posts from you anymore.
-
I've just come to the conclusion that @Rupert isn't even a CFC fan (and maybe even a L'Pool fan), just an avid Benitez & Torres fan. When both go, especially the former, he won't be seen around here anymore IMO.

People just love to hate on Luiz and because of how the media have toyed with his image; many think he's a nightmare to play with etc. it's hard for the media to praise Luiz because of this. Back to Draxler though, interesting prospect considering the accomplishments he's already achieved at his young age. He's not even an AM like everyone's saying, he's just a left winger that likes to cut inside if I'm correct, sort of like Schurrle, Hulk etc. (NB I'm not saying that he's similar to them). I want genuine width in the squad though, Moses alone isn't enough.
-
Lukaku's a lot more talented than Benteke and has a higher ceiling.
-
And Babayaro was never really 16 back then, lets be honest.
-
No it wasn't. That's so easy to say in hindsight. At CFC De Bruyne wouldn't have developed this well in the first place. He wouldn't play as many games as he is now at Bremen. This has been a successful loan spell just like the Lukaku, Chalobah and the Courtois deals.
-
Can anyone actually give me a qualifiable argument on why Lukaku won't be able to handle the pressure because of his age? Age does NOT define maturity in football. You can't write Lukaku off based on conditional, superficial statements that haven't even happened before.
-
Well those United fans aren't proper United fans then IMO. Any United fan that criticises what SAF has done this season is a moron. I mean, the United squad this season doesn't even have that many superstars apart from RVP & Rooney arguably but because SAF knows how to get the best out of his players they're walking away with the league. As much as I hate the red nose, no one can deny that he's an astute manager.
