  1. Imagine the tactical possibilities Schurrle and Cavani would give Jose Mourinho.
  2. What? Because Ba presumable has "dodgy knees" (even though he hasn't been seriously injured for years now) you wouldn't call his £7.5m a bargain signing even though he's worth probably double that? You wouldn't call KDB or Courtois "shrewd signings" because they weren't internationals and will only give the scouts credit for finding them and not give the club, who employ these scouts by the way, credit for actually pushing through and signing them whilst now both their values have easily more than tripled? What about Azpilicueta then? He's forced himself into the starting line up. Or if you go even further back off the top of my head Ivanovic? Anelka? Will you give the club no credit for signing them for pretty much bargain fees either? The grass is always greener on the other side for you. Yes, Real signed Ozil for £12m, Arsenal signed Cazorla for £16m, and United signed Kagawa for £18m(hardly a bargain to begin with when he hasn't really proven himself for United yet), but why you're using those figures to constantly deride the club like Real, United or Arsenal haven't made bad deals in the past? Why do you overlook the negatives for them but fail to do so for us? Look, I haven't been happy with some of the stuff the board has done either but what's "amazing logic" is how you love to deliberately overlook every positive thing that the club have done over the last few years, brush them off like it's nothing when they're clearly learning from their mistakes, but easily point out the negatives and act like we're the worst run club in club football. You're just putting a hyperbole on everything bad and act like everything the club does is the end of the world.
  3. Recent examples off the top of my head - KDB, £7m. Courtois, £5m. Ba, £7.5m. You were saying? I'm quite sick of you trying to use almost anything to blast the club tbh.
  4. Not true at all. I'm not English and he doesn't dismiss my opinion, and there are plenty of other people he agrees with who aren't English either. Likewise, you just have to look at how he disagrees with Sam and Pacquiao, who are both English, to see what you said above is bollocks of the highest order. Even if that is his opinion, you aren't the one that decides whether everyone should know about it, that's his personal choice. If you were insulted by it then surely you could've just consulted the other mods/admins and ask whether it would be correct to give him warning points or whatever? There is absolutely no need to make a thread about this, this just created a sour atmosphere across the forum, and like James said, you should be closing threads such as these, not creating them.
  5. Agreed. A PM is a PM. Thread should be closed/deleted/locked because it's just becoming a platform where people are just insulting each other on.
  6. I think wrapping the [media ] [/ media] (no spaces) tags around it fixes it, like I did above.
  7. Because squads win you titles, not just having the strongest first 11.
  8. Okore said he rejected a deal to Chelsea in January because he feared he wouldn't get enough playing time. Good deal for Villa though and a great move for him.
  9. Go back a page or two bro, it's already been posted.
  10. Agreed, almost forgot we need a 2nd choice GK. Add that to the list and we're done.
  11. Schurrle, Cavani, De Rossi and maybe Van Ginkel, and I think we're definitely done in the transfer window. Would be a superb transfer window.
  12. He's a wide player first and foremost, that can, if needed, play a more central role.
  13. £42m is about the maximum I'd go for Cavani. Hopefully the reports that Cavani asked ADL to accept a lower offer are true.
  14. Doubt we would've signed Hulk for anywhere near Schurrle's price.
  15. Schurrle has lots if confidence in himself, don't worry about that.
  16. She actually didn't. Here's what she said: "Edinson is negotiating with Manchester City and Real Madrid. De Laurentiis has spoken of the possibility of negotiating with Chelsea, but nothing concrete. At 15 or 20 days we will know their fate when something happens your family will the first to know" "Edinson loves this city, and if he leaves will never forget the love and the love of fans Naples" That article is just assuming that because "nothing is concrete" with Chelsea, that the only place Cavani will go to is City or Madrid, which is bollocks. They twisted her words.
  17. I think he can play as a second striker as well.
  18. Exactly this. 200%. Maybe add Josh to that midfield.
