Well yeah, of course Mata will play in the middle, that goes without saying but even if he does start on the right he'll probably dynamically rotate in game with whoever is in the centre but I'd like to see him get started on the right flank if Mourinho can implement that sort of system and get an effective production from him as it gives the likes of Oscar and KDB a chance to really develop more.

It's not a dig at Benitez though, he's just simply saying that he doesn't want CFC to compete at Europa League level. I don't know why you're extrapolating anything sinister from that. I would personally say Hazard vs Schurrle on the left, KDB vs. Oscar in the middle and Mata vs. Moses on the right.

They're just bitter. Most knowledgeable United fans e.g. a few of my mates are actually frightened at the prospect of Rooney at CFC. This isn't like Torres at all. We're not spending £50m on him. There's actually a reasonable price of £25m being quoted.

Do we need £15m though? Do we need to sell in order to buy? No. There's no point in reducing the quality in midfield when we don't need the money to reinvest into another player. If you're looking to obtain some cash then just look at the Cavani case; if rumours are correct we were going to spend at least £40m on Cavani. The money saved from that can be used to bring in more players.

Have you ever heard of squad depth? It isn't basically a straight swap between De Rossi and Mikel at all. It's common sense that if you want to compete on all fronts that you need a large squad with good players who can come in and perform well. Jose said he's waiting for 6 players to come back and obviously Mikel is part of those 6 players. If you're looking to get rid of a midfielder you'd get rid of Essien before selling Mikel. We don't need £10m/£15m. We're not a small club. It's also not out of the question to actually play a Mikel - De Rossi pivot.

No it doesn't. We already sent Oriol Romeu on loan so there's space for De Rossi and Mikel in the team.
