Dude, you're overreacting. Just sleep over it and you'll realise that regardless of the result the boys did exceptionally well against the best team in Europe. This doesn't compare to Bayern's loss against us in the CL at all. They were in their stadium, their city, their home... And looked like winning until the 88th minute when Drogba's intervention struck the first blow. Robben's penalty miss in extra time and then to lose it on penalties when Germans are renowned for those... The CL loss was a lot crueler to Bayern than this loss was for us. Chin up and take pride in the guys. We've made a great start under Jose and we still aren't even at our best yet.

Not true. Some criticised Mourinho's tactics/team selection/subs against United and basically got told their opinions were irrelevant.

That's why I said "sort of" cos I don't agree with that - I even said in the post that Mourinho played it exactly how it should've been played because we're not ready yet. For further clarification, I was agreeing with him with the fact that we do have the players to challenge Bayern for control but that they aren't ready to do so yet.

I sort of agree with Sam in a sense that we do now have the talent now to really challenge the likes of Bayern for control of the game and stuff but we aren't there yet. The team is still young, and still quite inexperienced and haven't fully gelled yet. I think Mourinho played it well today with respect to this. It will take time for us to get to that level.

Kakuta does not have the same mentality as Lukaku though.

What I meant to say is that I want to see him playing at least this good for the rest of the season. This should be an average Hazard performance. Agreed that he could take some things away from Ribery's game though.

Yeah but after that goal we woke up and had a lot more chances to tie up the game which wee unfortunately didn't take. We deserved to win IMO based on chances. After we went down to 10 men we couldn't continue to press as much as we did so it's understandable why we really set up shop then.

I don't care about the result to be honest. Today we showed that we can trade blows against the best club in Europe. We arguably had the better chances in the whole game. We went down to 10 men and they really struggled still. Proud of the lads really. Not our day today though. It'll be a great learning experience for them though. And those giving Lukaku so much slack should just shut the hell up to be honest. It really isn't that deep. This isn't the CL final.
