  1. It really isn't all about goals with this signing. What he'll bring in terms of link up play and his potential chemistry with the the three behind is what will make this transfer a good signing. He's a good back up plan to the Wayne Rooney signing.
  2. Seriously beginning to doubt that given some of the responses to the potential scenario of Mata leaving on here.
  3. It has nothing to do with the fact that they're both at United. To say both are as poor as you're saying is pretty much delusional. To say Moyes is a rubbish manager and the joke of the footballing world and De Gea is a rubbish goalkeeper is nonsensical. Yeah, Moyes didn't win a trophy but to say he's a poor manager is really silly given the fact that Everton were a bottom half relegation threatened club before he took over; to one that consistently finished in the top 6 despite barely spending money and constantly losing their best players. Any Chelsea fan should know De Gea is not a rubbish goalkeeper either given the fact that he has played blinders in most matches against us. They're both good at what they do. Not the best, but good nonetheless. Don't know why it's so hard for you to admit that.
  4. I don't. I expect United to pack then counter like they do in most big games. If it was an open game by both teams I think we'd win.
  5. He's wanted a Chelsea move for a while now.
  6. No one knows because Jose hasn't made either certain. Wouldn't be surprised if they do start though, Jose's done it before.
  7. Lukaku must start. Relishing seeing him destroy Rio Ferdinand.
  8. Moses came through an English academy so what you're saying doesn't make sense. You really can't compare Wenger buying players from France to this.
  9. I don't think Lampard can do 3 games in 8 days at 100%.
  10. Was working at the Cardiff game tonight. Atmosphere was absolutely insane. Well done to CCFC.
  11. Not at all. Don't know how you can leave our best defender and best attacking midfielder out and say its our strongest 4-3-3.
  12. The Benzema to Arsenal rumours also included that Real will go after Suarez as his replacement.
  13. So, rumours Arsenal are after Benzema. Now that's a deal I'd love to hijack. Benzema would be a great alternative to Rooney.
  14. People need to understand that those that are not really as supportive of this transfer as others are are not actually saying Willian is a bad player. I've made my concerns known but it doesn't mean I think Willian is rubbish. I actually rate him as a player - it's the ramifications surrounding the signing that's bothering me. No one actually dislikes the player - the concern is aimed at the actual transfer. You don't need to explain to us that he's a good player.
  15. This could work very well actually.EDIT: Here's my XI... Cech Moses - Ba - Lukaku - Schurrle Oscar - KDB Willian - Mata - Hazard Torres
  16. Eto'o for £2m is a bargain depending if his wages will be alright. I like this but I think we're still waiting to see if Rooney will come before we make this deal official.
  17. People are actually just mainly discussing how good his goal was and how ironic it is that we're actually looking for a striker of his type. Are we not allowed to do so?
  18. I don't think Eto'o will actually massively improve our strike force like Rooney would but what he will offer is a different type of striker we don't have.
  19. I've closely followed Sturridge since he was around 16/17 and believe me, he definitely has the capabilities to be constantly dropping deep. Watch the game against Villa actually, even his goal you'll see he isn't the furthest forward player when he receives the ball. I actually think he's best as a second striker, behind a main striker because his link up play is and always has been good, but he has the potential to be a more complete striker as he matures. Sturridge is in the mould of those players and that will be more evident as he develops and matures. I personally think that after Rooney Wilshere and maybe Carrick he's probably the biggest English talent out there atm.
  20. Sturridge has always had the ability to link up, move well into channels and hold up the ball with his great feet. He's more than just a poacher.
  21. If we kept Sturridge I don't think we would've been after Rooney right now. Fits the profile of the type of striker Jose's trying to bring in tbh. Wish we gave him a new contract instead of signing Ba. He'll have a good season, think he'll score around 20 PL goals.
