  1. Think he meant 22 outfield players.
  2. Of course he's going to be an upgrade on Moses, lol. Moses cost £7m, Willian will cost us £30m. You don't spend £30m on a squad player either. So expect KDB and Oscar to be on the bench more often, especially if Mata stays.
  3. I'm not underestimating at all, I'm not calling Willian a bad player whatsoever, it's just that this signing is not needed whatsoever and that spending £30m on a player we don't need just doesn't make sense at all. I haven't discussed the player's ability.
  4. Who knows - I just have a very bad feeling that he's off now for Rooney. Hopefully that's wrong but I really do not see the point in spending £30m on a player we really do not need. If Willian was going for around £15m then fair enough but such an excessive amount is ridiculous. It's not sentiment at all, it's the fact that you're basically okay with us selling one of the best players in the world for no reason that's ridiculous. Mata is still the most creative player in the squad whatever you may say. It's ridiculous to get rid of one of our top players and give him to our title rivals just to get Wayne, thus strengthening them because Mata is a better number 10 than Rooney. I really hope this is not the case. This is not FIFA.
  5. Lol. Wow. Let's sell our best player over the last 2 seasons/give him to our title rivals just to get Rooney. You're talking as if it's easy to replace a person who got around 20 goals and 30 assists last season, really ridiculous. I'd really like Rooney but not at Mata's expense. I'm not sure any true Chelsea fan can actually wholeheartedly say that. Shocking.
  6. Nope, still very stupid. We'll see if that logic still makes sense when we potentially trade in Mata for Rooney. I just have a very bad feeling about all of this.
  7. It's still a really stupid, idiotic signing. I'm disappointed.
  8. Moses or Mata off and reduced playing time for KDB then.
  9. The Mata quotes doesn't sound too convincing to me.
  10. We've already got title winning depth in the attacking midfield section of our squad so there's no need to add to it when we've got other areas in the squad that still need addressing. We need a technical striker, a new midfielder for the pivot, a CB, a new LB to replace Cole later on, maybe another new midfielder as Lampard is getting on as well and maybe even again look at a new striker to improve our strikeforce before I'd even look at touching the attacking midfield area. Signing Willian will certainly not give us a more impotent ability to unlock defences, he offers nothing new IMO. We have what he does in the players we have already. Signing Willian for £30m+ would be one of the most idiotic things I've seen in a while. Not a dig at you but most people who want this transfer to go through are really just getting excited because it's potential a new signing and because of the fact we appear to be stopping Spurs from getting him more than anything else. They're not thinking about how it'll actually effect the team. As I said before. It'd be a ridiculously bad signing in my honest opinion.
  11. It would be one of the worst signings in recent history simply because of the fact that it makes no sense in terms of squad make up and because £32m for Willian is overpriced. He's a good player but we're absolutely stacked in the position he plays in so there's no point whatsoever, hence why it'd be a very bad signing. I really can't believe people are happy this could be happening.
  12. This would be one of the worst signings in recent history IMO.
  13. Yeah I was at that Villa game and again it was Cahill's fault for backing off so much against Benteke so much. He really can't handle him.
  14. Oh dear. Feel bad for laughing now. RIP if true.
  15. Yes, I actually can. I'm not going to say much because it's been discussed to death before but Mikel is our best DM, and if we do end up playing a few games with 4-3-3 then I can easily see him starting as our holding midfielder in that. Like I said, you really can't make serious conclusions over the role any player will play after only a mere 2 games.
  16. You can't really make conclusions about whether he's our main man in midfield after 2 games.
  17. Great to see that people are finally starting to really rate this guy. It was criminal how underrated he was by our fans.
  18. Lukaku has to start against United for me.
  19. I agree that our 2nd goal was offside and that Ivanovic could've also been sent off but what I do disagree with is the supposed blatant penalty. Yeah JT touched the ball with his arm but his arm only went up because of Agbonlahor. It was pretty much involuntary.
  20. Big let off. Only players to really hold it down today were Ramires, Cech, Schurrle & Lukaku when they both came on, and possibly JT. Most of the rest were pretty sub standard. Villa really would've had at least a draw if it wasn't for big Petr Cech who is my MOTM. Only real positives I take away from this game is our 3 pts and that our ability to win games even when not playing well seems to be coming back. Looking very much forward to the United game.
  21. It's okay. We needed to wake up anyway - taking this game way too easy.
