  1. As I said before - I'm not basing it on this game in particular though. I'm basing it on what we saw last season and during this season in general. The chemistry between Mata and Hazard was sublime on so many occasions last season. Hazard has in general been poor this season, there's no denying that, and I really think Mata not playing too often is partly responsible for that. Mata's work rate was pretty great today, he really got stuck in defensively and pressed pretty well when he came on. He keeps that up for the rest of the season and he'll easily be one of the nailed on starters under Mou.
  2. Lloris is the best keeper in the world when it comes to rushing out, would've had to be an exceptionally exquisite finish for Andre to score that.
  3. Terry - Luiz compliment each other very well. Thought both were good today, especially the former. Hopefully Mou is slowly starting to figure out our best team now.
  4. If he plays like this for the rest of the season I'll be very happy with him.
  5. I've said it before - but I really think Hazard's poor performances this season go hand in hand with Juan not playing that many minutes this season. He's our main creative threat when Mata isn't on the pitch so he gets crowded out by three players. With Juan on he has more space to express himself.
  6. Regarding our first half performance - I think Mourinho got the team set up wrong. We were inviting Spurs on to us and when we did regain the ball we looked clueless going forward. I'm glad he changed that during the second half - where we started high pressing further up the pitch a lot more. Mou read the game wrong initially but reacted very well. The Mata for Mikel sub at HT was great. Again, hopefully this has opened Jose's eyes on the impact Mata can have on our team. Juan is literally the attacking brain of the CFC squad.
  7. Mata MOTM simply because he has shown Jose today that with a in form Mata our general play is so much better. Brilliant assist for the equaliser. Torres very, very close to that 2nd MOTM. Was absurdly brilliant today and if he keep those sort of performances up for the rest of the season he's our number 1 striker for me.
  8. Hazard has been worse than Oscar so I don't think there's anything wrong with the sub.
  9. Torres looking like that £50m striker.
  10. Should've started Mata ahead of Lampard. Ramires will probably do the job at DM though.
  11. The pivot has to be Mikel - Ramires. I have no idea why we're playing like we're the inferior team. Not good at all Mou.
  12. DM are basing their line up on yesterday's training session so take it with a pinch of salt. Why would we deploy Ramires on the right? Tottenham's left side is not that threatening.
  13. Going to try to get tickets for this one. Game should be nuts.
  14. Now MVG is out for the season, I wouldn't be surprised if we finally made a move for another midfielder in January. Right now our only pivot players seem to be Ramires, Mikel, Essien and Lampard.
  15. How are the attacking trio behind Torres interacting?
  16. No time, moving into my new house for uni so I'm all over the place.
  17. Not watching the game guys so can anyone tell me how we're playing?
  18. No, I distinctively remember correctly that in his last year at Genk (in the January we loaned him back, which was actually a year and a half ago) that he was getting rave reviews for his performances in CM, he was consecutively playing there. I watched him in a few games; so it isn't a fantasy. Sure, he's played more out wide and behind the striker but to say he's not able to play CM isn't true because he's played well there before, ignoring that it is for Genk and that Chelsea is obviously a much bigger step up.I disagree that he'd be wasted in the pivot because he has the potential to be a midfield controller - he can set the tempo of a game and find a pass from almost anywhere; However to play in the pivot for us he'd have to work immensely hard on his defensive game. Apart from his defensive game (which is very important in this role) he has all the attributes to play there but it really depends on what Mourinho will develop him as. He has enough time to develop into a pivot player but like you said, I agree that his probable future lies further up the pitch.
