Before Mata left we didn't really have a problem with set piece takers but hopefully in the summer we sign a CM (like Kroos or something) who does have the ability to deliver accurate set pieces.

It's between him, Aguero and Suarez IMO, and the latter two have been absolutely brilliant this season too.

From an Arsenal forum. Lol.

Hmm... What should I change BluesMaster's name to TC people?

"Really? Not sure he even played all that well today. Had that one move past the fullback where Eto'o hit the post but overall wasn't anything special. He's not close to Cazorla or Özil for me. Not to mention Toure or Silva. May not have had great games today but they're well ahead of Hazard." Deluded.

I think Ben Arfa has been playing as a number 10 for Newcastle recently, hence why I put Ramires there.

Cech Azpilicueta Cahill Terry Cole Ramires Matic Willian Oscar Hazard Eto'o

Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?
The Skipper replied to Melanicus's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
He's not on the list, but a striker I would really, really love to sign is Benzema. I think he fits the system Mou is trying to create here to a tee - he's technically great, great link up play, and also has a brilliant eye for a pass, plus he's used to the Mourinho counter attacking system. He's been great this season for Madrid, currently he's on 17 goals and 8 assists for Real in 33 appearances. He's probably not available, but IMO he fits us the best as he is a proper team playing centre forward. I think he would link up brilliantly with Willian, Oscar and Hazard. Here's a highlight video that highlights his link up play, technique, assists etc. (incase you've forgotten or aren't really that familiar): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV7VFrFzg7g -

I wonder if Mourinho can fix the Luiz - Cahill partnership? Theoretically, they compliment each other very, very well, but for some odd reason it just doesn't work. Maybe Mou can work his magic though.
-
I'm not disagreeing with you - I thought that there were certain (little) things Mourinho could have done to give us a greater chance of winning but we played well in general and I commend WHU for their defensive effort in the game BUT I'm not just talking about the WHU game, it's just that if you disagree with one of Mourinho's choices you're automatically branded as some sort of idiot/naysayer which was my main point, I think that's stupid, because everyone knows Mou is one of the best, but being the best does not mean you're perfect every time and that you should be immune to criticism.
-
His balance is one of the strongest parts of his game. The mix of balance, agility, pace, acceleration, technique, dribbling, flair, creativity etc. is just incredible.
-
IMO he's already the best pundit in the PL, by quite some distance too.
-
So unlucky not to score today but still very good. Our number one striker IMO.
-
Regardless, absolute masterclass from Jose today. Love how the team is shaping up.
-
Aw come on, that's one isolated game where certain people rightfully criticised how Mourinho set up the team, they weren't knocking him as a manager, just how he set up in one game. I hate how some people think you can't say anything at all about anything Mourinho does. It's ridiculous.
-
Wasn't a liability going forward for once! Great defensively as well. Keep it up Bane.
-
Was rubbish in the initial stages but grew as the match opened up. One of his better performances in midfield, but it's easy playing next to a boss like Matic. Good performance, and glad he's making himself available to the team as a midfielder.
-
This guy is fucking insane.
-
Lol, he shouldn't have been compared to Yaya to begin with, considering Yaya isn't even really a DM now to begin with. My argument was that Yaya wasn't a poor defender, not that he was a better pure DM than Matic. Yaya is has a lot more finesse going forward (which was my original argument) but I'll easily admit as a DM Matic is better. He was phenomenal today and we haven't even seen the best of him IMO. They're different players.
-
Where are the doubters now? Those that put City on some weird sort of pedestal... Never underestimate our team and Mourinho, especially in these big games. What a fantastic result, and it could've so easily been 2 or 3. Matic, Cahill and Hazard were phenomenal, but have my MOTM to Matic considering this was his first PL start, absolutely bossed it. Yaya Toure was a problem but Matic dealt well with him with Luiz, and his swift passes to turn our defence into attack were brilliant (e.g. That Ramires chance where we were 4 v 1, started with a great pass from Matic). I'm delighted, knew we could do it. Our team next season is going to be very special when we get in a proper world class CF. I don't even care if we win the title or not as we're progressing really well. We're going to be phenomenal next season. Come on Chelsea!
-
We should be comfortably up right now. Shame. Everyone having a good game bar Ramires' finishing and Willian. Ramires on the right wing is a tactical master stroke from Mourinho though. Well played Chelsea.
-
Lol at people who were comparing Matic to Yaya. Completely different players.

What a game so far.
