Nah, his Inter and Real teams are known for their high pressing qualities. High press is just a facet of any philosophy, you could be a high pressing counter attacking team or a high pressing possession based one. There are variations.

Not true at all. Perhaps this season yeah because Luiz has been out of form but it was easily our best partnership because they compliment each other extremely well.

Kroos would be an insane signing, a Kroos - Matic pivot would be the best in the PL. Guy is insanely talented and has fantastic vision and is also a willing worker. The only thing that I don't like in his game is his lack of pace, but apart from that if we managed to pull off a signing like this I'd be ecstatic. Kroos, Ramires, Matic, MVG, Chalobah, RLC for the midfield in the future would be quality.

McEachran won't make it here, he doesn't have that drive to be a top player.

I would prefer a midfield 3 of Mikel - Matic - Ramires. There is no need to play Luiz in midfield now we have Matic here in my opinion. There is nothing Luiz gives us that Matic doesn't.

The DM article makes it sound like Mata only wanted United when the Guardian's article just says he was keen, so I think the DM story was a bit sensationalised to make it sound like Mata was desperate for a move to only United when I think that Mata was just desperate for a move a way in general, not in particularly to United.

I think he had a solid game today but don't know why people are saying he was immense... That was just an average Matic game, we haven't seen him at his best yet.

Willian, Hazard can both play there successfully. Piazon is also coming back next season, and we can always play Lampard too. We're fine there I think.

A common thing those you've mentioned have though is that they're all smaller than Luke is. Luke isn't lightning fast but he still has bags of pace, especially for one of his size. Physically he's very good, doesn't lack anything, and technically he's very good as well - good dribbler, technique is there. He's obviously a very composed young man too given that he's been entrusted with a starting spot at Southampton. You're right in saying that I hope we don't overpay though. I think that they would be tempted by a decent £15m-£20m offer though (which is the max I would go). As I said before he would be our starting left back.

I don't know if you remember the game last year against us, when we drew 2-2 against Southampton? Do you remember Luke Shaw's assist against us? He has the capabilities to use his pace to run down the flanks and produce an assist. Luke is strong on the ball. If you have forgotten, here is the highlight video.
