The fact that he was the brightest spark in attack doesn't mean that he played well. I missed the first 20 minutes of the game so I genuinely wasn't impressed with what I saw knowing that he can give us a lot more than that. I'm just very disappointed because he hid during crunch time.

Awful performance from Diego today but it's his first really bad game so I'm not too worried. He'll learn from it.

The most infuriating one was the Ivanovic long shot at around 94+ mins after Drogba knocked it down to him. What was he thinking...

It wasn't his fault we got hit on the counter at all. Both goals were preventable and would've been if Cahill wasn't so bad at the back. Mikel had a decent game and stepped up well enough to at least lessen the Matic blow. Can't fault Mikel for anything today, he did well. There are other players we need to look at.

I did say at the start of the season that no one should be surprised if Zouma develops well enough and overtakes Cahill... He's been awful for some games now. Doubt he'll get dropped though. I would love to see a back line of Luis - Terry - Ivanovic - Azpi. Please make it happen Jose.

Admittedly I missed half of the first half but still thought Eden wasn't playing well. He wasn't the only bad player out there, there were players that performed worse (I'm looking at Costa and Cahill) but generally he was far too passive and played a bit within himself instead of stepping up. Yes, he hit the post but he should've scored IMO. He does that and the whole dynamics of the game changes. He does that, and he doesn't lose the ball for their second goal. Fine margins.

I'd rather be labelled as 'arrogant' than be stupid enough to think this Chelsea team needs an 'overhaul'. Get back to playing your FIFA pal, maybe there you can have Pogba, Messi and Ronaldo on the bench.

Hazard was far too passive, if you think he had a good game then you're kidding yourself. I expect a lot more from him.

Plus... Cahill has been poor over the last few games, his starting spot is definitely under scrutiny.

I don't even think we lost because we had no Matic either, Mikel played pretty well today. Our attackers just didn't step up once again and we were far too slow in our build up play. Mourinho really should've started Luis, this was the ideal game for him. Newcastle didn't want possession at all.

Must say, very disappointed with Eden. He hid today. These are the sort of games where he needs to step up and be the hero but he was probably our worst attacking midfielder today.

Newcastle aren't a bad team mate.

Regardless of that, you can't deny he was awful today.

Will never understand why he doesn't start these sort of games, was quality when he came on.
