This is exactly my point. Pedro was never established in the Barca XI, they were always looking to improve on him. Why? Because there are better players out there. There will be better players coming up as well. Pedro would just be a stop-gap signing.

I do hope they get rid of Tyres sometime soon.

Those were all brilliant signings and all players that I do really rate, but I just don't feel the same about Pedro. For me it's not about him being a supposed Barcelona reject, I just don't think he's good enough to elevate us to the next level. Don't get me wrong, decent player, but he's not going to tie up the right hand side for us for the foreseeable future.

If they sign a very good CB they'll be solid defensively. Smalling will continue to grow as a player and I back him to have another good season. Darmian is a good player. Maybe not world class but definitely good enough. Shaw still has massive potential. Towards the latter end of the season when United fixed up they didn't concede much at all. They're definitely just as good as Arsenal, Spurs, and even City defensively IMO. Smalling and Shaw would start at all 3 clubs IMO. If united replace DDG with someone like Lloris as well then their defensive unit isn't too bad at all. You're forgetting that they were a mess defensively because they had to play players like McNair and Blackett.

It was 1m actually. That's not the equivalent to suing us. Regardless both clubs want to resolve this without getting legality involved. If Fiorentina take us to court over a mere 1~3m then good for them.

I would prefer:-----Depay------Rooney------Mata----- ---------------------Di Maria--------------------- --------Schneiderlin---Schweinsteiger-------- Shaw-------New CB-------Smalling------Darmian -----------------------Keeper----------------------- This is very dependent on Di Maria being in top form though. Edit: Some decent depth on the bench as well from United. SUB: Valdes, Jones, Rojo, Herrera, Fellaini, Young, New CF. Plus the likes of Valencia, James Wilson, Rafael, Carrick when he's back... They're building a very decent squad. Depending on their final signings they can definitely make a decent push for the title. PL is looking very exciting next year.

United still need a starting CB, GK (assuming DDG leaves) and a CF before their squad is pretty much complete.
