  1. Wow. Lad had literally no holiday, went straight back to the club. Thats great to see
  2. Lineup's are misleading. Watch how Italy operate and you will see Jorginho and Verratti always covering each other's space with Barella the CAM. Note that I agree with you, that Jorginho is best suited as the lone holder. However, he can operate with a partner next to him.
  3. He was probably our only midfielder last season who looked to make things happen with the amount of forward passes he's made. More than anyone. He plays in a double pivot with Italy and performs fine. In fact, he still leads the transition even though Italy play with a double pivot.
  4. Which is essentially why I stated that if we were moving on from Sarri, of those rumored, Lampard would be the best fit. Aside his connection to the club, Lamp's plays progressive football. It's better to continue steering the ship vs starting over with someone like Allegri, Santo, or Blanc. Taking two steps backwards. This pre-season schedule is looking to work in our favor in terms of fitness and development. Starting out easy, progressively getting stronger opponents.
  5. Singing Lukaku and Nainggolan would of been disasters. Hindsight of course. The former can't even control a ball and the latter looks to be on his last legs. Was terrible for Inter.
  6. We are playing a 433 if anything. Hope we really nurture Gilmour. Has the potential to be something special. Almost Xavi esq.
  7. I’d say Arsenal are favorites. We finished 2 points ahead of Arsenal in a season where Hazard was our main influence. Emery also has a knack of doing better in his second season whereas United will be anyone’s guess.
  8. I think it will be you that will be in for a tough season. I for one expect little to no improvement, as opposed to you that thinks Lampard will wave a magic wand and our players will perform better.
  9. You've badly missed the point. The way I judge Sarri, is consistent with the way I'll judge Lampard, which is solely based on what he has at his disposal. Not some laughable conjecture that unlike Sarri, Lampard will demand respect from the players which will reflect the performances on the pitch. That was the very last thing we saw last night. Believe me, I will be referencing your insensible post quite a lot until it gets through to you that what we have won't ever be good enough. Despite who the manager is.
  10. @Atomiswave Didn't really look like a team playing for the manager who demands respect.
  11. Eye opener for Lamps. Some youngsters just aren't good enough and some senior players getting compensated far more than they are worth. Time to start trimming the fat from the team. Gilmour clearly the standout.
  12. Piazon, Baker, Brown really haven't improved since they were 18 have they?
  13. Already moving the ball 2x better than the first.
  14. Looks like Lamps took a quick visit to TalkChelsea and changed to his preferred 4-3-3 Much more inspiring 2nd half approach. I would've kept Bats on though.
  15. I've made it abundantly clear that the main issue is down to personal. I've been more than fair with my analysis.
  16. We have a new manager and players wanting to make an impression. A select few have done the exact opposite and I can see why Sarri never bothered with Drinkwater. Limited.
  17. Already not a fan of the 4-2-3-1, which is mainly down to personal. I hope the whole XI changes at half. That was a bit disappointing to say the least. A bloody trailist was causing our midfield and defence havoc.
  18. Highlight of the first half was a trailist mugging off Drinkwater for 45 minutes.
  19. Raiola confirming Pogba wants to leave United and everyone in the club knows it.
