We haven't beaten anyone currently above us, and we sit 9th. Add the fact we are getting progressively worse as each game passes with zero signs of progression, how do you genuinely expect us to finish Top 4? Which, you know, was the bare minimum for this season?

Question for those stating Gilmour is better than Mount, what exactly is this based on? Gilmour's sample size is miniscule, and his best performances came as a Regista. Why are we comparing him to Mount, when the only time Gilmour has played in Mount's position, he looked utterly lost?

There's always the risk of 'The step up" but one needs to look at the actual philosophy of his game. The space Southampton players create for themselves is incredible for a club of their stature. Someone always seems to be open and transition frequently happens through the middle of the pitch. Something that doesn't exist for us. They play with a quick tempo and there is a level of technical ability in their ball movement that didn't exist before Hasenhüttl. Don't think we'll get him, but I would be happy with his appointment.
