  1. Because he’s never involved in build up. This isn’t 2005. Havertz has to hug the touchline to accommodate him.
  2. Lukaku no where in sight and Havertz hugging the touchline to accommodate for him.
  3. Pulisic can be brilliant and frustrating at the same time.
  4. Good thing we have Lukaku to bring on. Our attack pretty non existent.
  5. More likely a 4 at the back with the ball and Pulisic pushing high and Sarr staying back. Havertz going to be isolated.
  6. CM's need to be a lot more direct as well. I can only see this working with a 4222 or a 4231.
  7. Then he needs to cut out the recycled possession game and become more direct.
  8. He’s averaged two finals a season since he was 17.
  9. Come to think of it, I take that back. Kante, Kova, Jorginho, Rice/Tchouameni and Gallagher could work.
  10. If we are keeping Kante, Kova, and Jorginho I don't think Gallagher will have a place in the team. One of Rice or Tchouameni is imminent (thinking it will be the former). That is 4 CMs for two positions. 5 Including Gallagher. I'm still not sure if Tuchel outright wants to make the 4231 or 433 a priority next season ahead of the 343. 6 midfielders, all of which are established first teamers now, competing for 3 spots. That isn't going to bold well. Not even City or Liverpool have this much quality in depth in midfield.
  11. So I imagined Jorginho getting absolutely bullied against Brighton’s midfield on two occasions? I imagined Leeds running circles around Jorginho for 90 minutes? I imagined both Soucek and Rice taking the mickey out of Jorginho back in December? I imagined in literally almost every match day thread, posts saying we lost the midfield? You are fooling, comically fooling yourself to suggest Jorginho’s liabilities off the ball are a fabrication. We are so defensively solid because of our backline and Mendy. This system protects our midfield but becomes a trade off as it restricts our attack when we lack creative players on the pitch. Hard to be a defensive liability for Italy when you have Bonucci, Chiellini. Barella, and Verratti all in the same team. And let’s be real, this is the same individual award that had Salah outside the top 10. I can say for an it utmost certainty you are alone in your analysis. Football isn’t solely based on statistics and anyone with 20/20 vision can see Jorginho is incredibly weak off the ball. Sarri recognised this and opted for a conservative possession approach after Arsenal carved us open in midfield. Lampard took Jorginho out the team entirely and Tuchel reverted to a back 5, and is now utilising Kante + Kovacic more.
  12. I’d say get your eyes checked but I remembered who I’m speaking to. We play with a bloody back 5 in the first place because Jorginho is useless off the ball. We are unable to put more attackers in the box in fear of getting carved open.
  13. You mention Fernandinho and Henderson but neither of which are utter liabilities off the ball as Jorginho is. If one of Kante or Kovacic aren't at 110%, we are vulnerable in midfield.
  14. We aren't getting Adeyemi so just move on. His signing would make far, far too much sense, and for that reason alone it won't happen
  15. Mad to think Pep has never won a match against us in European competition.
  16. I agree. He also has a keen sense in what profile to look for. He could be our Txiki
  17. Roman is apparently interested in bringing in a 'footballing mind' into the boardroom by appointing a Sporting Director. One that would work with Cech to handle all footballing affairs whilst Marina handles the business side. The rumored individual is ex Barcelona sporting Director Ramon Planes. https://www.teamtalk.com/Chelsea/roman-abramovich-ramon-planes-game-changing-signing-director-beat-english-rival
  18. Looks like he agreed to join Barcelona on a 2 year deal with option to extend.
