  1. I mean if you compare him to Lahm or Dani Alves, those two are fantastic footballers along with being good defensively. This was always something missing from Azpilicueta’s game, a very old school defender. What he lacks in that department he makes up for it through sheer consistency.
  2. Then expectations need to be drastically lower. There is the suggestion his signing has taken us two steps back. I beg to differ. Think his signing has taken us several steps back of where we want to be, which is competing against City and Liverpool who both have dynamic attackers that fit their system. Seems we want to sacrifice our similar blueprint in favor of playing around Lukaku, which quite frankly is down right stupidity as no top side in Europe has a team built around a limited striker. Let alone a side that just won the Champions League. Think we'll leapfrog from 4th to 3rd winning the odd cup here and there until we get rid of him.
  3. English media are desperate he joins Liverpool to replace Henderson. Think we are destined for either Tchouameni or Rice (perhaps even both if Rice stays at West Ham next season and we replace him with Jorginho once his contract is up). Gallagher, Rice, Tchouameni, Kovacic, and Kante is a fine midfield to have in 1.5 years time.
  4. I think it's either we sell him now or dumb down the team even further by trying to build everything around a limited footballer such as Lukaku.
  5. only Eze (3) & Mateta (0) who came on after the 84th and 91st minute respectively had fewer touches than the Belgian.
  6. Attack was still horrid. Things only changed after Lukaku’s injury against Malmo.
  7. I’m speaking in the long run. I can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel should Lukaku remain here for the duration of his contract.
  8. Then he’ll get sacked. It’s very simple and a fearful prediction I made back in August.
  9. I say he has tried given his little experiment today with Havertz and Pulisic. Only question is when he experiments Lukaku out of the XI completely,..
  10. Going to have to rely on individual attacking brilliance for the rest of the season.
  11. Again. More dropped points where it’s difficult to blame anyone other than Tuchel.
  12. Taking Jorginho off for RLC is just too fucking daft.
  13. I am getting so incredibly exhausted listening to Graeme Le Saux defending Lukaku. My fucking word.
  14. Up there with the bizarre James RCB and Dave RWB experiment.
  15. Because he’s never involved in build up. This isn’t 2005. Havertz has to hug the touchline to accommodate him.
  16. Lukaku no where in sight and Havertz hugging the touchline to accommodate for him.
  17. Pulisic can be brilliant and frustrating at the same time.
