  1. Jorginho’s lobbed attempts are horrific. There’s a reason he rarely does it.
  2. Particularly compared to our competition... Salah - 51% Mane - 45% Jota - 44% Diaz - 40% Firmino - 38% https://one-versus-one.com/ I stand by saying we need two in and three out.
  3. I think its bold claiming he has looked significantly better this season. He's better no doubt but still as inconsistent as last season. Virtually no excuses this next season.
  4. The only thing that's concerning for me is when Tuchel publicly states he doesn't train the players in attacking phases. You can see it ever so blatantly when we look clueless up top and always force to recycle. With Liverpool and City, you can clearly see patterns of play and specific instructions the wide and middle players are doing.
  5. Can anyone confirm if we were closer to City/Liverpool in chance creation under Lampard? Still think 5 defenders and two conservative central midfielders primarily the reason.
  6. I like Martinez but not sure if he can cope well in the Prem. Doubt Inter will even consider selling him either way.
  7. He struggled dealing with the physicality of Lukaku and Giroud, imagine peak Drogba. Vidic and Rio had to both be 100% to make sure Drogba didn't score, and even that wasn't enough given Drogba's hold up play.
  8. Incoming the inevitable loan with option.
  9. Just seen Rio did win the league and TOTS at 35 so nvm. 😂
  10. Yeah i'm hearing that Slonina lad is going to be some GK. All the tools for a modern keeper.
  11. Neville was spot on regarding Conte. "Under Conte's management, it is genuinely a military regime. It's methodical. He improves players. 18 months to 24 months later, the players are frazzled. Conte is frazzled. Then he leaves." It's why I always say his football was never sustainable. We have nothing to worry about with Spurs. They will sign Conte esq players, then he will leave, leaving Spurs with a bunch of old, systematic only players.
  12. If any new contract is offered i would imagine it would be significantly less than what Kante is earning now. And if Kante is disagreeing, no doubt they sell.
  13. 1. Conte's football isn't sustainable in the Premier League. Even more so with Klopp and Pep setting the standard of progressive football. 2. Conte never had a good track record managing cup competitions and the league. 3. Conte is abysmal in Europe 4. Conte is abysmal in cup competitions. 5. Conte will always be unsatisfied.
  14. Tuchel doesn't run the club. Boehly, who's focus is solely on self sustainability, will not see a player who's now injured 50% of the time and his main strength diminishing (athleticism) still earning 300kpw as a cost effective strategy.
  15. If Jorginho and Kante leave should we not simply replace them with like for like, such as De Jong and Bissouma? Add Gallagher to the mix and a decently priced DM, we should be sorted?
  16. He didn't. He picked Rio in a recent interview with Carragher.
  17. Its mental how many times people need to spell it out. Conte's Football. Is. Not. Sustainable. They will beat Liverpool one week and draw to Burnley the next. When you shift your tactics week after week, the rhythm of play is disrupted.
  18. He then tried to justify it by saying Terry played in a lower block and that he and VVD could play in any system, to which the fans on twitter bombarded Rio with Terry's attacking metrics shitting all over Rio's. The fact VVD had a sly dig at Rio when he picked himself as #1 and the confusion when he picked Terry #5 says it all. I'm not a fan of Terry as a person but I am not going to ignore the 11-12 years of elite consistent performances he dished out. Terry won the league at 35 and made it to the bloody TOTS. What did Rio do at 35? Carragher seems to be the only one with any bollocks to call it out as it is. Terry is genuinely the best in the PL era and arguably one of the best CBs in the modern era.
  19. I'm sure he can but at what cost? Italy won the Euros but this is also the same Italy that failed to qualify for the world cup. 2nd straight time. 7 defensive minded players on the pitch with only one coherent attacker (Chiesa) I think we have done the best we possibly can with Jorginho in the XI.
  20. But international football is vastly slower than the Premier league. It's more tactical. Same with Serie A. It has 40 year old's winning the golden boot so that gives another indication of how slow the league is in comparison to the Prem.
  21. Just going off what I am hearing from Palace fans.
  22. Just happy he has his European cup. A player of his former calibre deserved one.
