Chelsea set to sign former England international – this is a weird one
Vesper replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Well, as Green is 38, soon 39, Pepe Reina wont be the oldest player on the books anymore. seriously, wtf????? -
Liverpool could win the title IF they sign a truly top 10 CB, like Koulibaly (I think it was them who just bid 100 mil euro for him and De Laurentiis shot it down) or Marquinhos. KK and van Dijk would be scary as hell, two giant tanks with speed and great ball play. They were loaded elsewhere, BUT a big loss with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out for year (we dodged a bullet!!! yayay ), so I think they were insane to pull out of the Fekir deal (unless there REALLY IS something wrong with him physically). Isco on that team would maybe push them into 1st, if they get that CB Lovren SUX,Matip is bläääää (coin toss between Lovren and Cahill, lolololol, only age makes Cahill worse) I rate them 2nd in EPL, after Shitty (who REALLLLLY need a DMF and IMHO a world class CB too, so maybe it was Shitty who bid the 100m euros.)

Tielemans regressed, BUT he did play really well in the WC Youri Tielemans dans les flops de la première partie de saison en Ligue 1 https://www.7sur7.be/7s7/fr/1760/Ligue-1/article/detail/3331832/2017/12/22/Youri-Tielemans-dans-les-flops-de-la-premiere-partie-de-saison-en-Ligue-1.dhtml

Napoli rejected €100m Koulibaly offer from Premier League club - De Laurentiis https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/napoli-rejected-eu100m-koulibaly-offer-premier-league-club-de-laurentiis Napoli's outspoken president Aurelio De Laurentiis says the Serie A side have rejected an offer of €100million for Kalidou Koulibaly. Published 28 min ago Kalidou Koulibaly was the subject of a €100million offer from a Premier League club, according to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis. Senegal defender Koulibaly starred as Napoli pushed Juventus hard in the Serie A title race last season, although they eventually fell short. The centre-back, who played all three games at the World Cup for his country, has long been a reported transfer target for Chelsea and Manchester United. Chelsea appointed former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri to replace Antonio Conte and have already signed Jorginho from the Partenopei. I know it wasnt us (sob), it would have to be Man U or Liverpool or Man City The last 2 (especially LPool) make the most sense they both are short a world class CB (I detest Otamendi and Stones, and obviously the Scousers need a partner for Virgil, as Lovren is SHIT van Dijk and KK together is terrifying thought
-
You are also saying the Rugani deal is not going to happen? IF we are done with all signings (basically Jorginho and nothing else) and all stay we are FUCKED will absolutely struggle to even qualify for Europa League the clubhouse is going to be POISON too especially if Courtois and Willian and Morata are there if one of our CB's goes down we have either a 17 yo or CAHILL (absolute SHIT) doom If Emerson gets injured we have a dodgy (in a back 4) Alonso doom If Courtois goes down we have shit Caballero dooom At striker we have Morata (shit on multiple levels), an ageing Giroud (who is good in fits and spurts) and maybe Bats (who I cant see working out in Sarriball) or the underwhelming Abraham doom RW will be weak again (Pedro willbe better than Willian in Sarriball, but he is ageing too, and cant play every game, every minute) Willian is really going to be a problem, I bet he pulls a Costa doom we will have only massively injury-prone Barkley as an experienced AMF doom we are so fucked atm IF NO MORE SIGNINGS
-
HELL YES cannot believe we bollocksed up that £65m Barca move. WTF! Now its Man U or bust Willian is going to be club house poison, watch him pull a fucking Costa
-
Barca are signing Malcom (for only £36m, grrrrrrrrrr), goodbye £65m for Willian from them Barcelona agree €41m Malcom move after hijacking Roma deal http://www.goal.com/en/news/barcelona-agree-41m-malcom-move-after-hijacking-roma-deal/gklk1h0hio6y1xezi9f9qqtue

So, Higuain wants to go to AC Milan, he doesn't want to leave Italy, and Juve want Morata. I guess unless we go big and get Icardi (Real are also sniffing around him of course) we are going to perhaps roll with Giroud, Bats, and Abraham. http://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/serie-a/milan/2018/07/24-45677999/higuain_un_s_a_leonardo_ma_non_basta/ Martial as a striker really seems to get more important and of course a swap (plus cash) for Willian. Other options Edinson Cavani (31 though, 32 in February) I will say this, I would rather have him (as long as healthy) than Higuain for a couple years. I am sure most here disagree Timo Werner (not sold on him and will be crazy expensive) Andrea Belotti (had a bad year, would be nice to know what Sarri thinks of him, he was a beast 2 years ago) he did do this a week (granted against a shit team) >>>>>> Belotti bags five for Torino https://www.football-italia.net/124488/belotti-bags-five-torino Jean-Kévin Augustin (wild card, super fast, not big, really young, just turned 21) Rodrigo Interesting, but Valencia will want crazy money Ultimate cray cray wild card >>>>> Mario Balotelli
-
They (Man U rotters) refused to pay $54m for Alex Sandro, the arguably 2nd best LB on the planet, (who we had £65m bid turned down last year for) so why would they go cray and pay 70m quid for a soon to be 30 yo RW who is nowhere near top 10 atm?
-
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so fucked Willian must be going splodey head, and now we have to pray that we can do a deal with Man U for Martial (which there is almost zero chance old twat JM will allow) or at least £60m flat out sale I wanna choke out Granny £65 MILLION, out of the league, and now down the shitter
-
You are where I am at. I was genuinely excited that maybe he would at least try and fit into a Sarri type style of play BUT his performance yesterday was absolutely SHAMBOLIC his attitude, everything is SHIT
-
Joe Hart in 10 seconds shoot me now if he is our number one
-
LOLOL I dont know what team you are looking at. and all this following assumes WE DO NOT lose Hazard or Kante: GK, Courtois is soon gone gone gone and only 2 remotely close keepers on the board who are available are Strakosha and Donnarumma Are you willing to roll with CABALLERO as main GK?????? CB Until we (if we?) ever close Rugani deal, our 3rd CB is a 17 yo (as Azpi is now the full-time RB) Cahill is a joke LB Alonso is not up to being an orthodox LB in a Sarri 4 3 3 , that leaves a basically still untested Emerson as main option with no backup other than Alonso AMF Are you really going to roll dice on Barkley being healthy all year? The Golovin deal is dragggggggging on and on LW If we foolishly keep Hudson-Odoi off of the first team, then we have have no real backup other than 31 year old Pedro, who if Willian (and he surely is gone) leaves will be (if we buy no one else) the starting RW RW only Pedro is there (again if Willian leaves) and he is surely not going to play every minute of every game Striker Morata???? Really???? Good luck with even getting UEFA League, let alone CL with that team
-
If they get him for that, its a bloody theft!! Especially after Everton paid £50m for Richarslon
-
Well, assuming that Courtois, Willian and Morata are in finally stages of being sold (happy with all sales save Courtois) and Zouma is gone for sure (left off preseason team) that leaves Cahill ( multiple EPL clubs want him) Bakayoko (Sevilla and Monaco want him, sure there are more) Luiz (same as Zouma, with PSG very interested) Alonso (multiple La Liga clubs, with Barca at top of list) that only means Drinkwater (who really wants out) and Moses would have to be really shopped (and I do believe other EPL teams are interested in either one or the other) lets say we get stuck with Moses, that £20-25m is surely not going to be a make or break on the overall picture most all of those sales HAVE to be made for multiple reasons 16 days to bring in players, BUT 5 to 7 weeks still to sell (France is a late close) once the EPL window for incoming closes, that really dries up options coming out from the EPL talent pool for the other leagues, thus making teams like us, who WOULD still sell, more in the driver seat with the other leagues
-
The only players I left out of that long list (that we have been linked to a lot) were Martial, Donnarumma (I replaced him with Strakosha) and then the impossible (if we do not sell Hazard) buy of Milikovinc-Savic (I did address Dembele and Fekir on edit) and left out Miralem Pjanic/Thiago/Isco (any of those 3 break that budget) and then also left out RW options Malcom, Bernardeshi, Federico Chiesa and Suso. Only LW I didnt list was Kingsley Coman and then my original first choice, now gone to AM , Thomas Lemar I also left out my perennial rant/wants/pipe dreams of Kouibaly, and the impossible to get Alaba. Now for the question What are your thoughts on Martial as a number 9 in the Sarri system (instead of Morata, Bats, Higuain,or Icardi)?
-
I have been on slow burn for weeks after Granny took that fucking MONTH LONG holiday when the goddamn window first opened!! truly WTF!!! I am beside myself with our board since 2014 or so (KDB, Salah, Lukaku, Costa (partially on Conte!) Nainggolan, Alex Sandro, Koulibaly, etc etc cock up sales or fails to close the deals!!) plus DRINKWATER!!!
-
Zero chance Icardi goes for anywhere less than £120 to 130m, IF they even sell him. I agree we could, in theory generate enough cash via sales, but I see almost no effort so far to srat the mass liquidation of deadwood need by Granny and the board. lets look at thsi in more depth, this time with NO Hazard sale I see us needing to sell Courtois £35m Drinkwater £30m Willian £65m (Barca offred this, their thrird increasing bid, SELLLLL) Luiz £25m to PSG or another place Alonso £40m to Barca (he isnt going to work in our system as a RB) Morata £55m Victor Moses £25m (we will never get more for him than now) Cahill £15m Bakayoko £35m back to Monaco or elsewhere Zouma £20m (I dont think he ever will fully recover from his cruciate ligament disaster of 2016) Assorted other small sales £10m Roman said a max NET spend of £60m when all is balanced out we spent £50m on Jorginho so that leaves around £10m there add it up that's £365m to the bank (those sell prices are totally realistic, give or take a total of £10m, 15m, and we take a loss on some) KEEP KANTE!!!! we KEEP Azpilicueta, make NO sense to sell him, he is more than capable of play right fullback in a back 4, and is a great crosser Keep Ross Barkley Keep Bats (MAYBE loan him out) Keep RLC Keep Giroud (its not like we would get a tonne anyway and he is a GREAT backup or game changer in 60th, 70th minute) Keep Zappacosta as backup RB Keep Pedro, he will thrive for 2,3 more years in Sarri ball Loan out Bats so, now the buys Mauro Icardi £125m should get it done Alex Sandro £55m is what Juve demands, pay it (keep Emerson for backup/rotation) Rugani £45m Strakosha £40m (by far best available GK out there now that Donnarumma deal looks to be going south) Golovin £35m Leon Bailey £65m (can play either wing, prefers RW even though left-footed) total cost.... £365m, same as the pot from the sales and 10m left over from the £60m net spend Roman demand our team IF we could pull all this off GK Strakosha GK (backup) find a cheap replacement for Caballero CB Christensen CB Rugani CB Rudiger CB Ampadu (he IS ready for 1st team for sure) LB Alex Sandro LB Emerson RB Azpilicueta RB Zappacosta DMF Kante DMF Jorginho CMF Loftus-Cheek CMF Fabregas AMF Golovin AMF Barkley LW Hazard LW Hudson-Odoi (he is ready for 1st team!) RW Leon Bailey RW Pedro CF Icardi CF Giroud CF Abraham THAT'S a VERY strong, deep, young (only older than 30 players are Giroud, Pedro and Fabregas) team and all done with NO Hazard, NO Kante sales and meets Roman's £60m net spend demand Fekir is staying at Lyon for now another option is to increase net spending by around £40m (if Roman goes for it) and take out Bailey and put Dembele in his place, which is a big gamble as then we are splashing the equivalent of £105m for a player who was a semi flop at Barca.
-
Except the only way we would get Dembele is to sell Hazard (or worse, Kante). Especially if we want Icardi too (which I ABSOLUTELY do)
-
Obviously I would rather have Dembele, but he runs like £50m than Martial (actually more but Barca will sell at a loss) plus Martial is a LW, Dembele RW Fekir is more of an an AMF so not a fair comparison Thauvin was a flop at Newcastle, so no thanks atm, let me see another season like he just had Fekir also looks totally off the market this year https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/media-watch/308512-liverpool-fc-transfers-nabil-fekir
-
Only MF's (overall , as Kante is by FAR the best DMF) I would take over him are KDB (GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) and Coutinho
