  1. Rumours still flying, ffs. £50m for a player who scores around 6, 7 goals a year for his career, whose 2 'big' seasons were 11, with 4 goals, 6 goals, and ONE goal EPL seasons surrounding those (ALL those were full seasons in EPL btw). He turns 30 in mid-April and has scored same number of goals in EPL (5) as Morata has this year, even though Arnautovic has played 30% more minutes. £50m is madness. https://metro.co.uk/2019/01/01/chelsea-plan-bid-marko-arnautovic-alternative-gonzalo-higuain-8298928/
  2. From Luiz to Hazard: Every Chelsea player contract revealed and who could leave for free in 2019 The latest contract details on every member of the Chelsea first-team squad https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/chelsea-latest-contract-news-hazard-13145222
  3. Maurizio Sarri has rejected the idea that he will ask Chelsea to recall either Tammy Abraham or Michy Batshuayi to help ease his striker issues this month. https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/fixtures-results/chelsea-tammy-abraham-batshuayi-sarri-15617817 snip Sarri has Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard at his disposal to fill the void up top, and he believes that is enough for now. Asked if he would consider calling either Abraham or Batshuayi back, the Italian said: “No, because I have the option with Hazard in this position. “We have Morata and Hazard can play very well in this position as we have seen in the last two, three matches, so I think that in the moment I don’t need another striker.
  4. £1.7 million (around £2.9m in 2019 pounds) was too small a fee to include
  5. Well using the same standard, then we could excuse Torres due to this
  6. I am sure there are many lists, I went through the transfers year by year, https://www.transfermarkt.com/fc-chelsea/alletransfers/verein/631 Crespo was superb, just not with us, same as Andriy Shevchenko Forgot to add Bosingwa too
  7. Another laugher..... Chelsea transfer news: How Blues could line-up at end of January window with Mats Hummels, Nabil Fekir and a new striker https://talksport.com/football/466944/chelsea-transfer-news-lineup-hummels-pulisic-fekir-striker-wilson-higuain/ I cannot believe people get paid to write this tosh
  8. Candidate for silliest transfer post of the new year. Chelsea should not hesitate to trigger Lorenzo Insigne’s €200m release clause Best player to complement Eden Hazard https://www.mediareferee.com/2019/01/02/best-player-to-complement-eden-hazard-here-is-why-chelsea-should-go-all-out-and-pursue-this-italian-winger-with-e200m-release-clause/
  9. He might help keep Monaco from relegation. He will tear shit up in Ligue 1 (Serie A too, it is no wonder Milan want him). I know his legs are shot, but he is such an great passer, that in those slower paced, more tactical leagues (especially Serie A) he will be a real weapon still. Milan desperately need a passing MF, especially with Giacomo Bonaventura out for the whole year (maybe more, he totally destroyed his knee) Injuries have really tore into Milan, Caldara ruptured his Achilles and is done till spring at the earliest. Strinic, Biglia and Andrea Bertolacci all are out too.
  10. Money for nothing, the history of Winston Bogarde. https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=125370.0;wap During his spell at Stamford Bridge, the club attempted to sell Bogarde due to his large salary, and demoted him to the reserve and youth teams in an effort to force him to leave. In response to press criticism, he responded: 'This world is about money, so when you are offered those millions you take them. Few people will ever earn so many. I am one of the few fortunates who do. I may be one of the worst buys in the history of the Premiership but I don't care.' £17m (in 2019 quid) for four starts
  11. I think this is very much a huge worry too. We all assume they are not happy with Morata. It would not shock me at all if we do nothing, literally nothing in January. Maybe some sales, but those are all speculative too. Cahill and Cesc's wages (Drinkwater too) are so high most clubs cannot afford them due to multiple reasons (FFP in Milan's case with Cesc, cheap ass owners in Cahill's case with Villa). The ones that can afford don't want them.
  12. I still cannot believe he missed that. If we miss out on 4th place by 1,2, 3 points, that game is so far the candidate for the one that cost us.
  13. LOLOLOL, he is such a bastard, my god I miss him
  14. I can agree with this, it wasnt so much a condemnation of him as a player, just that it didnt work out for us, therefore was a bad buy.
  15. Considering the fee plus wages, Drinkwater is top 4 worst buys. Along with Torres, Morata, Bakayoko. Dishonourable mention to Bats, Shevchenko, Veron, Wright-Phillips, Mutu, Marin, Zhirkov, Del Horno, Kezman, Crespo, Boulahrouz and Chris Sutton. Left out some I am sure.
  16. Premier League team of the year: Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah make it https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46320595
  17. Papy Djilobodji: Senegal defender signs for struggling Guingamp https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46724602 the most bizarre Chels signing in my life I think, lolol
  18. holy crap, I could post literally 50 articles from just last 12 hours over just 3 players and transfer rumours Ramsey Rabiot Isco it is madness
